New York City is ending its controversial scheme that gave migrant families prepaid debit cards worth a total of $18,500 each. City Hall made the announcement Thursday, as Mayor Eric Adams has finally listened to critics of the Big Apple's migrant policies and Adams himself has become friendlier with Donald Trump, who plans massive reforms to the immigration system. William Fowler, a spokesperson for City Hall, says the program will expire at the end of the year after handing out a total of $3.2 million in cash value for 2,600 families to buy necessities.

Now, Mayor Adams, help Trump send them back where they came from. States like California are gearing up to battle Trump and his plans. The governor of Illinois said Trump will have to go through him to get to the "migrants."

That's about $350/week for a family of 2 adults & 2 kids for culturally appropriate food. It seems just a little out of proportion to the rest of us in flyover country. (Is rice really that expensive?)

Look up the concept of "self deportation." It works, it's effective , and it's humane. This type of enforcement and Trump's very public stated goal is what brings about the process.

No human being wants to see anyone go hungry, but no one who works for a living wants to see money handed out to people who do nothing to earn it either. In order to stop the invasion of free loaders the freebies have to stop. Illegals have to be removed and legal entrants welcomed.

How many US Citizens in New York City actually voted for the New York City Government to hand credit cards worth $18,500 to all illegal aliens who show up in New York City? Who actually knows to who those cards are being handed, or if a lot of those cards are being handed to people committing fraud by falsely claiming to be illegal aliens to get possession of one or more of those cards? Who has been paying for all those cards? One thing is for sure, money will not be coming from the future Trump Administration to fund such cards in the future!

David McCormick filed a lawsuit challenging at least 15,000 provisional ballots in Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania Senate race, hours after claiming victory over Democratic Senator Bob Casey. McCormick, a Republican, held a slight lead over Casey in the battleground state's Senate election on Friday. McCormick's campaign has declared victory, but Casey has not conceded the race, as Democrats note there are still some outstanding ballots, and the race may end up within the threshold for an automatic recount. The Associated Press projected McCormick as the winner, with 97 percent of the vote counted. [SNIP] On Friday, McCormick's campaign filed a legal challenge to 15,000 to 20,000 provisional ballots in Philadelphia.

New York City can’t use an unconstitutional, two-century-old “anti-pauper” law to block the state of Texas from offering migrants free bus rides to the city from the southern border, a state judge has ruled. The court on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit brought by Mayor Eric Adams in January against charter bus companies contracted by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. It sought to bar them from knowingly dropping off “needy persons,” citing an 1817 state law that criminalized bringing an indigent person into the state “for the purpose of making him a public charge.” Justice Mary Rosado said in a sternly worded decision that the law is unconstitutional for several reasons.

After President-elect Trump's victory, Iran must now prepare to contend with the man it's been trying to assassinate for years. Tehran had reportedly been interfering in the U.S. election on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris. But with former Trump’s win, the regime will have to prepare for a U.S. leader who is, at the very least, a wild card. On Wednesday, the Telegram channel of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC), its military force, posted a video threatening to kill Trump. It ended with footage of a bloodied Trump and the words "We will finish the job."

They didn't just fail, they failed catastrophically, losing not only the presidential election by a wide margin in the electoral vote and the total vote count, but they also lost more Senate seats to the Republicans and, it looks like, control of the House of Representatives as well. The Justice Department is reportedly narrowing its focus on prosecuting the most “egregious” offenders involved in the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol building. Of particular concern are those who committed felony assaults on law enforcement officers, according to an NBC News report. This development comes after President-elect Donald Trump won the presidential election and prepares to take office in early 2025. The primary reason for the Justice Department’s tighter focus is likely the possibility that Trump will pardon or commute the sentences of many of those who were arrested and are facing prosecution over Jan. 6. His victory has sparked optimism among the defendants and those supporting them.
