Former President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he intends to create a new Cabinet position geared toward cutting the cost of living if elected to a second term in the White House. He made the announcement as part of a “new step” to get “emergency price relief to all Americans” while speaking at a rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with less than a week to go before Election Day. “I will create a new Cabinet position for a senior member of my administration who will be tasked exclusively with doing everything in the federal government’s power to reduce the cost of living,” Trump said.

He's proven he can drastically cut regulations and achieve great effect. How about if he eliminates ten cabinet positions for every new one he creates?

Cutting the fat out of a bloated government would be an effective way to start. Let's retire all of the new DEI hire IRS agents first.

No more offices! No more bureaucrats! We need fewer cabinet positions, not more. The cost of living will come down on its own with smaller government.

Just use the word 'czar' or something else so that Senate confirmation is not needed. There is too much work to do to wait for Senate confirmation. Just make the Cabinet titles 'interim secretary' so they can work while waiting for the Senate to wake up and think.

This is a no-brainer. No new cabinet officers are needed. Just shrink government down about 50% for starters. Inflation is always, and everywhere, every time, caused by GOVERNMENT.

Would be a good start and being a Cabinet level position will add gravitas to the policy. Government needs to be more responsive, less wasteful, more efficient and less redundant.

If Donald Trump ends up back in the White House – which would make him the first president since Grover Cleveland in 1893 to serve two non-consecutive terms – his victory will be down to many factors. A rose-tinted view of the economy under Trump before the pandemic struck. The punishing inflation of the Biden years, which pillaged the pocketbooks of ordinary Americans every time they went to buy gas or groceries. The inability of Kamala Harris – who was suddenly sprung on the American people once the Democratic elite decided to dump Joe Biden – to gel with voters or dispel the widespread notion that she was

Vice President Kamala Harris added a previously unannounced stop in New York City to her schedule for a surprise cameo on Saturday Night Live. She is appearing on NBC's hit late night show with just three days to go before the election. Earlier this week, Harris failed to lock in an interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan. He interviewed Donald Trump just over a week ago to record ratings of over 17 million views in less than 24 hours. Rogan confirmed that Harris refused to come on his podcast over scheduling conflicts and a clash about how long the interview would last.

A ruling by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Friday is being praised by conservatives working to safeguard election integrity. The court stopped an effort to allow mail-in ballots without a handwritten date to be counted in the 2024 presidential election, which culminates on Tuesday, Fox News reported on Saturday. “The ruling overturns a decision from a Commonwealth Court finding that the state law requiring a handwritten date was unconstitutional,” the outlet said. “The Pennsylvania GOP appealed that ruling to the state supreme court, and now undated mail-in ballots will not be counted in the upcoming election.”

The business, which is “privately owned by TriArtisan Capital Advisors,” has “secured a financing commitment to support operations.”

Locals of a tiny California town are turning out in their droves to back Donald Trump for the presidency, despite being in a Democratic heartland. Discovery Bay, on the east of Contra Costa County, in the San Francisco bay area hosts just a single supermarket, as well as a harbor and yacht club. The town is an anomaly in the largely Democratic state of California, with the majority of residents supporting Trump in the 2020 election. Residents Paul and Connie Rodgers, both Republicans, had moved to Discovery Bay from nearby Marin County in 2017 without realizing that the town was red.
