Vice President Kamala Harris is on track to narrowly win the 2024 presidential election, according to a new analysis based on artificial intelligence (AI), with 276 Electoral College votes against 262 for Republican rival Donald Trump. British betting company Bonus Code Bets asked ChatGPT, an AI language model developed by OpenAI, to assess which candidate would win each state based on publicly available polling information, demographics and historic election results. It concluded that Harris would win the key swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada, but lose in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina.

Comments:

Garbage in. Garbage out. Obviously, someone had to input the data into this AI program.

Garbage in, garbage out. AI simply sifts through available information and looks for similar information from "reliable" sources. The problem is, with a LOT of media spewing propaganda, THAT is what AI gets. Many people are buffaloed by such propaganda. Why would AI be any different? How could AI differentiate between propaganda and truth? Much of it is opinion and everyone has a opinion. If AI sampled EVERYONE's opinion and decided that opinion X was most prevalent, does that make it right? Some things have similar amounts of support and AI makes an effort to say such things are uncertain, but is that true? If one side of the argument is factually flawed but people still cling to it, is it really a 50/50 proposition? How would AI know?

ChatGPT is not designed to make predictions like this AT ALL. It can't predict elections, the weather, the stock market or anything else. It can only create grammatically correct sentences on a chosen topic based on previously input data and within the fences that it's human controllers put in place. It is not at all "intelligent" by any reasonable definition of the word. It's already wrong about Nevada where Trump is way ahead in early votes and the other states aren't looking good for Kamala at all. When looking at polls it it's important to check how many were polled and the quality and track record of a polling company. If you look at 538's site for poll quality you'll see (for example) Bloomberg has a terrible track record and put out lots of numbers well outside what other pollsters come up with (always in Kamala's favor btw) yet this trash pollster always get averaged in when they should not ignored. Definitely a case of both garbage in, garbage out and using a tool not capable of making this sort of prediction anyway.

When the LLM A.I. doesn't know an answer, it either lies, hallucinates or creates a word salad. Like when it makes an image of a human missing part of a leg or having six plus fingers... on backwards. Sometimes it gets real close, like showing George Washington and others as black men. Lying Newsweak touting an English betting company, that's what passes for journalism these days. Rats around the world are going to cheat and then attack. Be ready for anything.

It instantly prompted claims of election rigging on social media, with one person tweeting: 'The cheat is on.' WNEP-TV said that the numbers came up on the screen in 'error' and that they had been 'randomly generated' as part of a test ahead of election night on November 5.

Chicago Mayor Daley accused Nixon of “Hitler-type” tactics. “Goldwater’s acceptance speech had the stench of fascism. All we needed to hear was Heil Hitler.” Governor Pat Brown of California
