Americans should prepare for “unrest’ if former President Donald Trump completes the greatest political comeback in modern American politics, Democrats told the Wall Street Journal on Monday.
The potential for Democrats to perpetrate political violence undermines their narrative that Republicans, and especially the America First movement, are a threat to democracy.
“I think there’ll be some violence. I think there’ll be workplace fights. There’ll be fights at kids’ birthday parties. I think they’ll be protests and will turn violent,” Mark Halperin recently told Tucker Carlson.
Resistance groups, according to the Journal’s Joshua Chaffin and Valerie Bauerlein, believe citizens should be “bracing for unrest” if Trump wins:

Nevada’s Supreme Court on Monday ruled mail-in ballots without postmarks can be counted three days after Election Day.
The Democrats use mail-in ballots to cheat so the Trump campaign and Nevada GOP filed a lawsuit against the Nevada Secretary of State arguing against the state’s law allowing mail-in ballots to be counted after the election.

Vice President Kamala Harris said she would take a cognitive test in response to former president Donald Trump’s insults about her low intelligence, challenging her opponent to do the same.
Harris responded to Trump’s Friday remarks in a nearly three-hour interview with podcast king Joe Rogan, in which the GOP nominee called Harris “a very low IQ person” and said she needs to take a cognitive test.
“Sure, I would challenge him to take the same one,” Harris said when asked by CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell over the weekend whether she’d take a cognitive test.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz had a love affair with the daughter of a Chinese Communist Party official during his teaching stint in Foshan that was so stormy it drove her to the brink of suicide, The Post has learned.
Jenna Wang, 59, told The Post in a phone interview on Monday that she had fallen head over heels for the now-Minnesota governor when he was a young English instructor in China. A woman in a swimsuit on a beach 3

The long political career of Mitch McConnell (R – KY) is winding down in the same manner as previous RINO Senators such as John McCain, Mitt Romney, Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, etc – with betrayal, vendettas, and a repudiation of the conservative base. McConnell, the current Senate Republican Leader is actively trying to defeat incumbent Senate conservatives who are running for re-election, and he is making it clear that his role in his final two years in Congress will be to align with Democrats to thwart President Trump should Trump be elected to a second term.

MAGA comedian Tony Hinchcliffe sparked fierce outrage after hurling insults against Latinos in a series of purported jokes during his opener at the Trump rally in Madison Square Garden Sunday.
“I welcome migrants to the United States with open arms and by open arms, I mean like this,” the “Kill Tony” podcast host told the crowd — with hand gestures signally “no.”
He added: “It’s wild and these Latinos love making babies too, just know that — they don’t do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country. Republicans are the party with a good sense of Hinchcliffe, 40, cackled after taking the swipe,

The havoc wrought by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina brought disaster to homes and families, but that has not stopped Democrats from blocking the approval of emergency early voting sites in the heavily Republican area. The refusal to act forced the GOP-led state legislature to intervene.
Democrat-run local elections boards in McDowell and Henderson counties have failed to approve additional early voting sites in the disaster-stricken area, despite increasing calls for more access to voting. Both counties voted for Donald Trump in 2020.
“Ensuring the right to vote is upheld for western NC citizens devastated by Hurricane Helene should be a non-partisan issue,

Multiple Republican lawmakers have denounced comments from a speaker at former President Trump’s rally in New York on Sunday about Puerto Rico.
At the rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe said “I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now,” adding that he believes “it’s called Puerto Rico.” The comments from the comedian resulted in mixed reactions from the crowd.

On Sunday, Kamala Harris tried to mislead another church in Pennsylvania but was interrupted by one of the attendees who firmly rejected her.
Kamala opened her remarks in Church of Christian Compassion in West Philadelphia by invoking a religious duty to vote, suggesting that casting a ballot for her was aligned with God’s will—a statement that garnered both laughter and applause from the congregation.
“In just nine days, we have the power to decide the fate of our nation for generations to come. And on this beautiful Sunday morning, I am reminded God expects us to help Him,” Harris declared. “We got work to do.”

Bad Bunny threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday by sharing a video of the Democratic presidential nominee shortly after a comedian at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally made crude jokes about Latinos and called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” angering artists and some Hispanic Republicans. Bad Bunny, whose official name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is one of the most famous artists of the moment. His backing could be a boost for the Harris campaign as it tries to bolster its support with Latino voters, among whom Trump has been working to gain ground.

Well, I guess we can dispense with the quaint notion that unsecured steel "ballot boxes" deposited around California, Oregon, and Washington are secure. If anyone should hold those beliefs after reading what just happened in the Pacific Northwest, then you should probably have that person held on a 51-50 until they snap out of their delirium.
Overnight in Portland and Vancouver, in what are literally attacks on democracy, "incendiary devices" — IEDs — were used to incinerate "hundreds of ballots" in two ballot boxes overnight in Portland, Ore., and Vancouver, Wash.

Perhaps the stream of resignations at the Washington Post over the last few days will prove a feature rather than a bug for Jeff Bezos. After the Amazon multi-billionaire ordered the Post to pull its endorsement of Kamala Harris, staffers and editors erupted in outrage, while readers canceled subscriptions. Several staffers announced their intent to resign in protest over the paper's refusal to take an official stand against Donald Trump.
Having those staffers out of the way may help Bezos' reported overall strategy to restore ideological balance to his newspaper. The New York Times buried that in their report on Friday evening that Bezos intends to broaden interest
