Former Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced she is joining the Republican party Tuesday night.
Taking the stage before thousands in Greensboro, North Carolina, Gabbard cemented her conversion from Democrat to Republican.
'It is because of my love for our country and specifically because of the leadership that President Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party that I'm proud to stand here with you today and announce that I'm joining the Republican Party,' she proudly declared.

See, the GOP can be the big-tent party. It doesn’t need to be the elitist, Chamber-of-Commerce types who promote illegal immigration so that their companies can have cheap labor. The GOP can be the party of the common person. I thank God for that.

I thought Gabbard would be an outstanding U.N. Ambassador. Now I think she’ll be selected for a bigger job.

Interesting that she's not saying her values have changed. Rather, that the GOP has been transformed under Trump to better reflect those values and it'sokay for others to do the same. Might be good for a few votes.

I believe she is pro-abortion. Unless she changes her stance on that, she's not a true Republican.

A lot of party switching went on when Reagan became president. As for being a true Republican, I'm pro-choice within limits and I'm just as Republican as anyone else. Sometimes I get so tired of every single thing in the country being about abortion.

I'd like to see her in the new administration in some capacity. She is calm, in control of the facts, smart. I'll take her over Liz Cheney anyday.

I can imagine her as Vance's running mate in 2028. Pres.Trump's Republican Party is Conservatives plus Reagan Democrats. There seems to have been a 90-degree rotation in the composition of political alignments... the Trumpians vs RINO's and Political Elite.

She may be good for Secretary of Veteran Affairs. It's not a high profile position but seems to be where her heart is.

Gabbard has never denounced her Marxist beliefs, her pro-abortion stance, her anti-wall, anti-2A, or her leftist career voting record.
Same with RFK Jr.
People are wetting their pants over that clown, but he's the same left wing authoritarian that he's always been.

It is her best move. I think her possibilities with the Democrats was at an end. Liz Cheney may as well join the Democrats. Her future is over with the Republican Party.

She's been solid Dem on a lot of things; but that Dem is way to the Right of today's Dem.

Good on Tulsi, she just corrected her one flaw. As for her past beliefs, when one is running for a democrat office, those positions are standard, you adopt them to keep from being rejected right out of the chute. I predict she will come around to the common sense positions on abortion, 2A and all of the other nonsense that democrats "believe in" to get elected.

Given how she and her husband have been getting screwed by DHS, it's no surprise. A conservative is a liberal, whis been mugged.

Although I disagree with Tulsi on some issues, she is a person of integrity and intelligence, and a decorated Iraq war veteran. Glad to have her aboard.

G Bush, Cheney, McCain, Mitt are all the reasons I stay Independent. Speaking of Bush, who I liked I now have no respect for as we go to the fall of Rome. He won't support Trump and the Republic because he call Jeb low energy? Loyalty to the nation should override family loyalty.

Ever since she ousted Kamala in the Dem presidential debate, I've been a fan. My dream ticket ever since has been DeSantis/Gabbard.
PS - Interesting that two Dem presidential candidates have left the dark side.

That's gotta make Lizzie Cheny crazy this morning....welcome aboard the Trump train...everyone is welcome...wonder who's next...there seems to be a lot of slippage in the democratic ranks....be careful Laura...the rats will say anything and do anything to make trouble...Tulsi has proven her direction over these past months...so I don't worry about her...BUT...the slippery Nasty Nicki Halley is another story...she pulled ballots from President Trumps nomination and kept them until the assassination attempt failed and she couldn't step up at the republican convention....her plan all along....

Tulsi Gabbard is a very smart lady. She obviously can talk and think at the same time.
Just as was the case with J.D. Vance, the first time I heard her speak at length, I was
deeply impressed. As for changing parties, I recall another Democrat who switched and
turned out pretty well...... Think his name was Reagan.

When I heard Tulsi speak I knew she was a woman of conviction and depth and wouldn't blow with the wind as Harris does. The Republican Party is big enough to include those who have different views but agree on the fundamentals of freedom of speech, censorship and our beloved Constitution as Tulsi does. Besides that she is a warrior.

So we exchanged Liz Cheney for Tulsi Gabbard.
Can Trump deal or what!
