The typically mild-mannered and tight-lipped Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell privately laced into former President Donald Trump and sobbed during the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021 storming of the Capitol, an upcoming book claims.
McConnell (R-Ky.), 82, slammed Trump, 78, as “stupid,” “ill-tempered,” a “narcissist” and a “despicable human being” behind closed doors toward the end of his administration, according to a preview of the book “The Price of Power” from the Associated Press.
“It’s not just the Democrats who are counting the days” until Trump’s White House departure, McConnell told associates in confidence, per the AP.
“[Trump’s conduct] only underscores the good judgment of the American people.

PDJT owes Mitch McCon-man nothing, and I look forward to seeing this hack Senator from KY slink back into the wood work from whence he came after he steps down from his leadership role in the next Congress. Considering that Trump gave Chow a cabinet position when it was completely unnecessary and when there were probably better candidates for the job, the behavior of these two ingrates in return is unforgivable. I just hope Kentucky produces a better replacement for this man in 2026. Once a Gerry Ford guy, always a Gerry Ford guy...

He names Trump, but he means 'us'. American citizens who've glimpsed behind the curtain. Trump tipped a lot of apple carts and threatens to demolish many more. We see what you've done Mitch. Too bad about your apples.

Mitch and his wife are in bed with China making millions from their China connection. Of course McConnell doesn't like Trump who finally faced down China after years of pandering by others both Republican and Democrat.

Many tens of thousands of Trump supporters were at the rally in DC that day. IF President Trump had called for anything close to an assault on the Capitol there would have been unstoppable masses of people (unarmed, as the lefties always fail to note) swarming and overthrowing the quavering Congressmen.
I was watching on Right Side Broadcasting Network, saw the whole rally, and the interviews with attendees afterward as they were ambling toward the Capitol, carrying their coffee cups and chatting with the emcee. Someone mentioned there was some ruckus going on, but there was no indication of real trouble from my vantage point. Certainly one would expect some angry people, but I saw none in body language or discussions.
Back in the late 60s campus riots, my mother told me that she believed the troubles were instigated by outside agitators. One of the wisest and most intelligent people I have ever know, once again I found that Mom was right, again, when I went to one of the hugest anti-war marches in Chicago and witnessed those "rads who were forming at the rear." My friends and I vamoosed, wanting no part of the obviously orchestrated mayhem.
I'm not excusing what happened during the melee. But the perps were not armed, and most who entered damaged nothing of our national treasures, unlike the leftist mobs who deface monuments and statues and buildings and burn our flag. Does the maudlin McConnell sob over those?
McConnell helped to deny the Republicans a Senatorial majority. That spiteful, cranky, selfish old rat.

An octogenarian career politician who has been a Senator for 40 years would feel entitled to his riches and privilege. He would also become so out-of-touch with his voters that he would eventually find them indecipherable and their champion “despicable.” McConnell has done some good work over the years but he has overstayed his welcome. He needs to let a younger and stronger conservative take his place.

It's startling to think how much Trump would have accomplished had Republicans supported him a fraction as much as Democrats get behind ANY demon with a D after their name.

Is it any wonder that as far as I can remember up until 2016 democrats have been running roughshot over republicans in DC. They had weakling go along to get along RINO clowns on our side until PDJT beat on of the most corrupt political machines in modern history. From then on, he disrupted according to Addison Glitch McConnell "how things are supposed to work". That's why I detest weak kneed, jelly spined, craven, cowardly, crying RINOs like McConnell, Thune, Tillis (unfortunately my senatard), Collins and Romney. I would love to ask crybaby Mitch the Glitch how he feels about the J6 political prisoners still rotting away in jail. No tears for them I bet.
