Democrats Enter Panic Mode as Harris’s
Faltering Candidacy Threatens To Bring
Down the Obama-Biden Era

How refreshing it is to see the Democratic Party in full panic mode. Nothing is working and as a result, the entire and profoundly unsuccessful Obama-Biden interlude is stricken and faltering. In fairness to the voters, the country could not have voted Republican in 2008 after the disaster of President George W. Bush — the Iraqi war topped out by the financial collapse and panic traceable to President Clinton’s requirement that the financial markets be flooded with commercially unsustainable mortgages. There had to be a change, as there usually is after two terms of the same party, and Senator McCain was not a skilled national campaigner.

From one of the best sports movies ever, "Miracle". Al Michael yelling out "Do you believe in miracles"? Yes, yes I do. Vote and take family and friends with you. Then go out and have a nice meal together. You can't just talk about your conservative values you have to vote your values. And never forget "Are you better off today than you were four years ago"? Is America and are Americans headed in the right direction. Hell, no. There are times I wish Trump would hold back a bit on his tongue but I like his policies and he certainly is not a box of rocks like some candidates.

The truth is the obama-biden era has been crashing since 2008. It's been held together by faux, incompetent, lying tape. The poll numbers from just black people have been dropping significantly since he was inaugurated. Uber incompetent kamala and the whole rope-a-dope of her selection has pushed them over the edge. People see them as "playing in our faces" now. Early after his coronation, people started to realize those internal questions they had about the unknown entity obama were real; he was an empty suit. He came close to losing the 2012 election. Saved by the steal, is my assertion. biden has never been popular; he's a bumbling fool. We were supposed to believe he got more votes than any president in history. He stole that distinction from Trump along with his stealth of the election in 2020. The crash and burn story is being written every day with kamala, and it's as big as day. They can no longer make the Disney production fly with the American people who are paying attention. So much is failing that if they try some funny stuff with this election, it won't go over like it did in 2020. Facts!

"Senator McCain was not a skilled national campaigner." That's like saying the Titanic had a challenging maiden voyage. It didn't help that McCain was a one-man backstabbing army (make that navy) in his own party in DC. Always prepared to go on TV and slam the GOP especially when he moaned about race and 'the party of Lincoln.' Sarah Palin saved him from a near-total collapse and he resented and undermined her for it. But by then he'd had lots of practice.

Hopefully it will also clean out Pelousy, Chuckie, Schiffty, and so many others that have helped to destroy this Country. Wiping out a significant chunk of the bureaucracy wouldn't hurt either.

"Senator McCain was not a skilled national campaigner." True and not skilled at much else. His grandfather and father both were excellent officers in the US Navy in WW II. They became the first father-and-son 4-star admirals in the Navy. But future Senator McCain was widely reported to be a Blue Falcon while in captivity in Hanoi. Came back, married a rich lady, became a Senator, and got caught in the Keating Five, part of the savings-and-loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. McCain was the only Republican in the Keating Five. IMO, he spent most of his Senate career back-stabbing other Republicans. His crowning "achievement" was voting to save ObamaCare, to spite President Trump. Not a fan.

Denial is not only a river in Egypt. It is also a seductive expedient for the Democratic Party in the waning days of the 2024 presidential election. You see it everywhere in the official activities of the Democratic campaign. WinBlue donations are soaring! The polls still have Harris ahead! Democracy is on the line! Escaping from the bluster of denial are worrisome little puffs of pandering, always a sure sign that the denial is at best half-believed by the denier. This is not surprising. Denial is the reliable product of desperation: the realisation, however imperfectly acknowledged, that the jig is up.

The season has come again (actually, we’re a few weeks behind schedule) for the restorative quadrennial reading of Michael Anton’s “The Flight 93 Election,” first published at the website of the Claremont Review of Books in September 2016. Its vivifying spirit leaps out immediately in the famous opening lines: 2016 is the Flight 93 election: charge the cockpit or you die. You may die anyway. You—or the leader of your party—may make it into the cockpit and not know how to fly or land the plane. There are no guarantees. Except one: if you don’t try, death is certain.

On July 26, in the aftermath of the Democratic Party's ruthless midsummer coup of their own democratically elected presidential nominee, this column predicted that the elevation of dimwitted cackler-in-chief Kamala Harris to the party's presidential slot would "spectacularly backfire." More specifically, I wrote: "Practically, the path to winning 270 Electoral College votes still runs through the Rust Belt states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. It is frankly bizarre for Democrats to swap out the man who talks ceaselessly about his hardscrabble Scranton upbringing for a Californian who boasts the most left-wing voting record of any presidential nominee in modern history." I'm feeling pretty good these days about that prognosis.

Kamala Harris is continuing to underperform across the polling spectrum. Pick any average from the multitude of polling views — two-way, multicandidate, battleground states, and even individual battleground states — and Harris is running consistently below where Joe Biden was in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016. So it’s no surprise Democrats are growing nervous. There’s a reason the Harris campaign is suddenly making her available for softball media opportunities, such as her recent appearances on CBS’s “60 Minutes” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” as well as ABC’s “The View,” and even for riskier ones like her Wednesday appearance on Fox News.

Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with Fox News’s Bret Baier for a half-hour interview in which Baier politely took no prisoners, pressing Harris on the issues most voters cite as their top concerns. Harris took almost zero accountability for the Biden-Harris administration’s failures and offered few answers on her specific policy positions, pivoting instead to besmirching rival Donald Trump and provide offerings from her platitude grab-bag. Baier hit the ground running by asking Harris how many illegal immigrants she thought her administration has released to date — “One, 2 million?” Harris replied, “It’s an important discussion people want to have,”

Desperate times call for desperate measures. With just 19 days to go until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris has adopted a frantic, discombobulated strategy of throwing everything she can find at Donald Trump to see if anything sticks. For over a decade now, the issue of trangenderism has gained increasing prominence in American politics, which is natural when personal choices begin to intersect with public policy, and for Kamala Harris it has risen above the surface at the worst possible time. There have always been policy concerns around the idea that men can simply decide they are women. There were questions about women’s shelters and prisons, locker rooms and bathrooms, but nothing puts quite as fine a point on the issue as men competing in women’s sports. America’s enemies aren’t afraid of ethical scolding from Democrats, and U.S. allies don’t view it as especially helpful. In a Gallup poll released this September, voters in the United States revealed they trust Republicans as the “party better able to keep America safe from international threats” by a margin of 54 percent to 40 percent. In today’s hard-fought U.S. political system, a fourteen-point edge for one party over the other is something close to a landslide. Yet, most academics believe that the superiority of the Democratic Party’s foreign policy approach is self-evident. So, who’s right—the voters or the academics? Let’s consider the evidence of the last eight years.

Sometimes “What if?” questions are merely counterfactual academic exercises. Sometimes, however, they are existential conundrums. The question, “What if Kamala Harris wins the 2024 presidential election?” belongs firmly in the latter category. As I have noted elsewhere, I believe Donald Trump will not only win, but win resoundingly. All the same, the huge influx of illegal immigrants, strategically managed by Biden and Harris to be maximally advantageous, combined with the disastrous state of our voter rolls, might mean even if Trump wins, he doesn’t end up in the Oval Office. So: what if? Imagine you are a mini-Rip Van Winkle. You sink into a deep slumber
