ROME — The Michigan Catholic Bishops’ Conference has protested Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s mockery of the sacrament of the Eucharist, calling the blasphemous stunt “offensive.” A video posted on Instagram Thursday featured Gov. Gretchen Whitmer placing a Dorito chip on the extended tongue of a kneeling woman, in a gesture readily recognizable as the Catholic practice of Holy Communion. After giving Canadian feminist Liz Plank (@feministabulous) “communion,” Whitmer — wearing a Harris-Walz hat — then stares expressionless into the camera: (X Video)

Michigan is hip deep with Muslims so mockery of the Christian faith is Whitmer’s not-so-subtle way of telegraphing her willingness to betray past voters en masse to get their support. I doubt that Hispanics will enjoy the humor any more than Catholics but the video revealed that Whitmer is for sale.

Gretchen Whitmer reminds me of the evil witch in Snow White….or is it Sleeping Beauty? Anyway, Disney should hire her for a remake. No artificial makeup required.

I'm Catholic. There is NO doubt of what she was trying to do. This is about as hateful as it gets. Remember, this woman forbade Michigan citizens the right to worship in churches or groups during covid... you know, that horrid plague that 99.7% recovered from.... if they knew they had it. Where the death toll did not exceed the normally expected amount.

Michael Tracey isn’t a conservative, but you can be assured he’ll be accused of being one after this piece. It’s the usual modus operandi for the Left: if you betray the narrative, you’re with the other side. Luckily for him, he’s never been one to follow the leader. He was an original Russian collusion skeptic on the Left, earning him the ire of his colleagues. He couldn’t care less. He’ll call out his side if they’re being obnoxious. Take Kamala Harris’ Univision town hall—would it shock you that it was chock-full of her supporters despite being branded as an ‘undecided Latino voter’ town hall event?

CBS News — the once-prestigious “Tiffany Network” built by giants like Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite and Mike Wallace — is the latest media institution to succumb to the bizarre spectacle of full-on wokeness. That was proven by a leaked tape of CBS’s fake-news execs idiotically rebuking an actual real journalist doing his job. “CBS Mornings” anchor Tony Dokoupil got into trouble because he pressed the author of a one-sided, anti-Israel polemic, Ta-Nehisi Coates, about his warped, historically inaccurate views on the Middle East conflict.

Vem Miller is a registered Republican who tried to present fake VIP credentials at a Trump rally on Saturday and then found himself arrested on illegal firearms charges. The 49-year-old Las Vegas resident describes himself on LinkedIn as an 'investigative journalist' and is the cofounder of what appears to be a fringe, far-right website that vows to 'rage against the mainstream media.' On Saturday, the Riverside County Sheriff claimed Miller was 'probably' seeking to assassinate former President Donald Trump. But a source close to Trump campaign downplayed the threat and told DailyMaill.com that there was no assassination attempt.

St. John’s — New York’s largest Catholic university — has gone woke and no longer refers to Monday’s holiday as “Christopher Columbus Day’’ in honor of the explorer hailed as a devout Christian. Some Italian-American civic leaders and alumni are now ripping the Catholic institution for dissing the famous but controversial Italian explorer. “To not acknowledge Columbus is insane,” said Angelo Vivolo, president of the Columbus Heritage Coalition. “Of course it’s an insult.” (Photo) Former Brooklyn state Assemblyman Peter Abbate, a St. John’s alum who earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science, agreed.

The vice-presidential candidate traveled to Mankato West High School to watch a team play that he previously helped coach, Fox News reported Saturday. Video footage shows Walz in the bleachers shaking hands with several people. Some attendees appeared not to care that he was there and focused their attention on the field.

Donald Trump seems to have faced yet another threat to his life when a man presenting fake VIP credentials was taken into custody after a shotgun, high capacity magazine and loaded handgun was found in his vehicle at a rally over the weekend. Vem Miller, 49, was taken into custody after he was stopped at a checkpoint near the former president's rally in Coachella, California on Saturday. Local law enforcement claimed the incident is 'probably' a third assassination attempt - after Trump was shot in the ear in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, and an armed suspect pointed a gun at him in West Palm Beach, Florida, in September.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) schooled New York Times reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro during a sit-down interview in which he educated her on several issues multiple times. Titled “The Interview,” Navarro grilled Vance on top issues most important to voters heading into the 2024 election, including the southern border, the economy, and the left’s unprecedented use of censorship. At one point during the interview, Navarro sat in silence for nearly minutes while Vance lectured her on the negative correlation between the U.S. labor market and illegal immigration.

Washington — Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday that disinformation surrounding the election, along with false claims about the government's response to recent hurricanes, is "extremely damaging." "It causes people to lose confidence in the integrity of the election system, and we need people in positions of authority to actually communicate accurate information to the voting public," Mayorkas said on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" on Sunday. The comments came in response to new CBS News polling, which showed that 65% of Trump voters believe the Biden administration has tried to increase the number of migrant crossings at the southern border.

The scandal engulfing CBS' 60 Minutes over its edited interview with Kamala Harris has turbocharged fears that the Democrat is being shepherded into the White House by a liberal media increasingly desperate to cover for her shortcomings. The presidential race has been dogged by allegations of media bias since the moment Harris unseated Joe Biden as the Democrat pick in the wake of his disastrous debate with Donald Trump in June. Apart from glowing magazine profiles and softball interviews with handpicked reporters, the VP has largely side-stepped the media exposure that candidates traditionally allow.

And the enemy from within, in my opinion, is more dangerous than China, Russia and all these countries," Trump said in an exclusive interview on "Sunday Morning Futures." "But the thing that's tougher to handle are these lunatics that we have inside, like Adam Schiff — Adam 'Shifty' Schiff," Trump added.

That money has not been recouped, with ticket revenue failing to cover the weekly cost of operations. Producers announced Friday that Suffs will close January 5 —

Former President Obama is drawing backlash for recent comments calling on Black men to turn out for Vice President Harris in November’s election. I’m so old I remember when we learned about advertising fakery by ordering stuff like sea horses and x-ray vision glasses from the back of comic books. Younger generations caught on when they compared what they’d seen in the TV ads with the actual products. For voters this time around all they have to do is scan X online. The sea horse ads were better fakes than the Harris-Walz team is churning out. Of course, there is the candidates’ utter failure in public appearances -- such as they are -- to show Harris-Walz viewers that they are phony, unserious contenders for the highest offices in the land.

Seven & I Holdings, 7-Eleven’s Japan-based parent company, announced in an earnings report Thursday that 444 7-Eleven stores are closing because of a dip in sales, particularly cigarette sales, as well as decreased traffic and inflation. A list of which stores will be closing was not released. 7-Eleven has 13,000 stores across the U.S. and Canada, which means the closures would only impact 3% of the company’s portfolio. The convenience store chain has faced six consecutive months of traffic declines, including a 7.3% dip in August.
