UPDATE: My apologies for the prior update, too little sleep. Hurricane Milton 8:00am advisory. All interests in the Tampa area and South to Fort Myers/Naples should pay attention. Today is the final day for any storm preparation. Conditions will deteriorate tonight as Milton approaches land. The exact location of impact is not yet defined. It looks like Sarasota Bradenton is in the bullseye. Information from the National Hurricane Center puts the predicted path at/near Tampa. (snip) a few miles will make all the difference. (map) The total of the eyewall is currently 60 miles (30 miles from center).

I am physically in Carrabelle (south of Tallahassee) and just now some deck furniture blew away, big frantic white caps out front, and it's starting to rain as the outer bands are arriving. Very surprising because I am 221 miles from Sarasota where it will make landfall. This storm is so weird what with it traveling backwards across the gulf and the outer bands are not wrapping around the eye but reaching 200+ miles to the north.

Here We go! I am in The Villages FL (you will see us on the Map just to the Left of Orlando, about Hour or so to the Airport) We have lived here for 22 years and never experienced a major Hurricane coming across the State and leaving damage around us. We're prepared this time for everything! I believe most Villagers are staying in their Homes (we are as well). We're told because our Homes were Built 22 years ago they are Hurricane Safe! We will see. We need to pray for Those who will have the Landfall and suffer more damage from surging water when they are still trying to clean up after the Last Hurricane!

I understand that the power utilities have their line crews locked and loaded and ready to begin restoration. Good luck, guys and gals. And be safe out there.

I'm here in the Jax Beach area on the first coast. We're expecting a 3'-5' storm surge and lots of rain and wind. The condos in our complex were recently remodeled inside and out, with new hurricane-proof windows and doors. This is the third hurricane we have experienced since the redo and we haven't had any problems (so far, knock on wood). We are all set with extra food and water in case of power outage, but all of our power lines here are underground and protected as well. We should be okay. God protect those in the path of Milton.

Vice President Harris, during a Hurricane Milton update from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Wednesday, covered her mouth and appeared to tell staff she was on a live broadcast after stumbling through a speech to the people of Florida. President Biden and Harris received a briefing from disaster relief authorities on life-saving preparations for Hurricane Milton. The two also received the latest updates on the forecast and expected impacts for Florida. While Biden attended the meeting from the White House, Harris and others attended virtually.

With just a few weeks to Election Day and early voting already underway in several states, it’s peak time for the “ground game” that campaigns have spent months preparing. Back in May, on-the-ground Republican operatives voiced concerns to The Federalist that the Republican National Committee’s operations weren’t keeping pace with grassroots in swing states. Now, as Election Day nears, a narrative has emerged in the corporate media about the Trump campaign’s “paltry” ground game. Despite the grousing by some in the GOP, outside groups, including political action committees like the Sentinel Action Fund, are working to match Democrats at their own game.

An Ohio law prohibiting the use and acceptance of foreign money in state ballot initiative campaigns can take effect for the 2024 election, a federal appellate court ruled Tuesday. Writing on behalf of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Amul Thapar granted an emergency request by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and Attorney General David Yost to place a stay on an August district court injunction that prevented the law from being enacted. The district judge overseeing the case argued the statute’s definition of “foreign nationals” is “likely unconstitutional,” adding these individuals “have political speech rights” covered by the First Amendment.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was asked about a political narrative that media attempted to stir up because he ‘supposedly’ did not take a phone call from Kamala Harris. Apparently, Harris campaign mgr/operative Brian Fallon thought he could garner some political points by asking his media allies to push the story. Appearing on CNBC, Ron DeSantis was asked about the issue. In the mic-drop reply, DeSantis destroys Kamala’s effort. WATCH:(video)

I was initially wondering why it took CBS 60-Minutes over 36 hours to upload the full interview to their YouTube account. Now things make sense. CBS 60-Minutes not only edited the interview, but they also completely erased parts of the interview and structurally moved answers to questions in an intentional effort to assist the Harris campaign. In essence, CBS completely changed the interview. CBS didn’t just shape or modify the interview; they literally moved answers to questions.

Voting Ballot Initiative Riddled With

On Friday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that votes cast for a pro-ranked-choice voting constitutional amendment in the 2024 election will count — even though nearly 38,000 signatures supporting the amendment proposal were duplicates. In its decision, the Grand Canyon State’s high court rejected a challenge seeking to have votes cast for Proposition 140 voided after a lower court special master disclosed that 37,657 pairs of signatures gathered in support of the measure were duplicates. As previously argued by the Arizona Free Enterprise Club (AZFEC), the finding “place[s] Proposition 140 thousands of signatures under the constitutionally required signature threshold to qualify for the [November] ballot.”

Right now, an untold number of Americans throughout several southeastern states are still struggling to acquire basic necessities after Hurricane Helene ripped through the region a week ago — and our government is largely indifferent. The devastation is nothing short of horrific. As of this article’s publication, officials reported that at least 202 people have died in the disaster, with many more still missing and awaiting rescue. Among the areas hardest hit are Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina, the latter jurisdiction of which has racked up more deaths than any other state.

Federal agencies tasked with protecting U.S. borders have allowed illegal border crossers to enter the United States without adequate vetting and board domestic flights, a new Department of Homeland Security inspector general report found. The 37-page document published on September 30 may be heavily redacted, but it paints a clear picture of the “potential risk” posed to Americans thanks to the willingness of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Transportation Security Agency to admit noncitizens without ID into the country. “Under current processes, CBP and ICE cannot ensure they are keeping high-risk noncitizens without identification from entering the country.

Arizona’s Democrat elections chief is illegally withholding the identities of approximately 218,000 registered voters on the state’s voter rolls who lack documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC), a lawsuit filed Wednesday alleges. Brought by the Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona (SCFA) against Democrat Secretary of State Adrian Fontes and the Arizona Department of State, the legal challenge “seeks to restore public trust in [Arionza’s] electoral system by ensuring transparency about the Defendants’ failures to ensure that registered voters have provided DPOC, as required by law.” The group is represented by America First Legal and a law firm spearheaded by former Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright.

Politico is framing the “lack of vetting” as the reason Kamala Harris is now stuck with Tim Walz as a liability dragging down her campaign. The VP nominee is essentially outlined as a lying liar who lies, although they use the word “misspeak” frequently. Strangely, or not, Politico never outlines that Tim Walz was specifically vetted by Eric Holder. As a consequence, if the political left is going to run with the excuse of failed vetting of Walz to explain Harris losing, they are essentially saying Eric Holder sunk Harris.

While campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris on the West Coast, Walz suggested at two different fundraisers that he would prefer to focus on winning votes across the country rather than concentrate on key battleground states that could sway the upcoming presidential election as they have done in the past. “I think all of us know the Electoral College needs to go. Democrats, who were once optimistic about the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris, are now feeling extremely nervous about the party’s decision to push President Joe Biden to step aside. Harris won exactly zero Democrat primary votes before her coronation and held one of the lowest approval ratings as a vice president in U.S. history. Only after the establishment media began writing about Harris in a positive way did her standing among the electorate appear to rise.Everything is deadlocked and the composition of the electorate is unknowable, and there are so many things that are unprecedented,” said Jamal Simmons, a Democrat strategist who served as Harris’s communications director until last year.
