Harris Campaign Aide Hesitant to Have
Children Due to Climate Change

Original Article

A Harris campaign aide who focuses on climate change once promoted the anti-natalist view that the potential for widespread environmental destruction is a reason not to have children. Camila Thorndike, the climate engagement director for Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign, told the Washington Post in 2022 that fears of climate change have factored into her hesitation to have children. “It’s coming partly from a place of love for my hypothetical child,” she said.

It's not new. With Boomers the existential hesitancy was due to fear of nuclear war.

Thank you, Camila, for making the world a better place even though only hypothetically. We really don't need our collective IQ to drop any lower than it already has. But, I don't think we really need to worry....if this unfortunate hypothetical child should ever morph into a real fetus I'm pretty sure Camila will make a beeline to the closest PP. Let's hope this make believe child remains that way.

This is one of the most anti-child positions ever argued. She is not protecting future "hypothetical" children, she is psychologically abusing all children who exist now. She is telling them that they are bad for the environment, that they should not exist, and inculcating a nihilistic view of life that subtlety drives them to suicide. You wonder why we now have school shooters? This person is the part of the answer. This person and her idol, Kamala Harris, are the barren childless dead-enders who lack courage to even raise a child and are not capable of uplifting a country. They ought not ever be entrusted with a whole generation of children. In a fight for survival, you will not get the words of Churchill. "Never. never, never give up." Instead, you will get "Oh, well, they were going to die anyway. I am going to bed."

If she and her like-minded companions in the "Stop Climate!" movement are truly concerned, they might want to cut down on exhaling, too. All those emissions are at least as noisome as bovine flatulence. I suggest they cut down 5% each year. It will make the earth a happier place.

Move to Dallas; the climate hasn't changed here- a little cooler if anything. A little more rain than some decades I remember. I remember perhaps 60 years ago as little boy having to go with my father to fill up water jugs at a central location provided by the city of Arlington (near Dallas) because of drought. No droughts like that anymore. The 1999-2000 time from was hotter than h---. 1980 was really hot. Nothing like that any more. Still hot, but pleasant in comparison. Where do you come up with this climate change phobia, fool? You haven't experienced it. Even your $cientists say it'll be 1 degree for 100 years, so it's not noticeable. You've fallen for the Greenhouse Gas-Lighting.

Brian Lozenski, an associate professor of urban and multicultural education at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minn., was appointed by Governor Tim Walz’s state education department to help write the statewide “implementation framework” (similar to a curriculum) for Minnesota’s new “ethnic studies” standards. It now emerges that Lozenski has called for the “overthrow” of the United States. Lozenski is no outlier. On the contrary, he has been the leading voice advocating the addition of a radical version of “ethnic studies” to Minnesota’s social-studies standards (citizenship and government, economics, geography, history, and now ethnic studies).

Volodymyr Zelensky(y?) had a right to comment about Donald Trump and J.D. Vance during his visit to a Pennsylvania arms factory. It was stupid for him to criticize the next President of the United States, but if he wanted to do that, it was his right. But I do have a serious problem with the United States military flying him there to do so, and I wonder if that counts as illegal election interference on the part of our Department of Defense. I think Mollie Hemingway has a point when she says that Biden should be impeached for doing this.

The Republican-led committee has long sought to host the secretary of state as it investigates the botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan over three years ago that left 13 U.S. service members dead.

Vice President Kamala Harris said Tuesday that she supports eliminating the Senate filibuster if that’s what it takes to secure abortion rights nationwide by codifying Roe v. Wade. Seeking to distinguish herself from former president Donald Trump on the abortion issue, Harris has been adamant about signing a bill enshrining women’s access to abortion into federal law. But under the existing filibuster rule, passing such a bill would require 60 votes in the Senate — an all but impossible hurdle to clear given the current composition of the upper chamber and the partisan divide amongst voters on the issue of abortion.

The source was a supposed news outlet named "The Keystone Newsroom." What the Harris campaign was trying to do was clear. Local news outlets are typically more trusted than national outlets by the residents of a given state. By pushing a headline bragging about a major endorsement from "The Keystone Newsroom," an air of credibility is given to the claim.

Democrats are increasingly worried that pollsters are undercounting Donald Trump’s voter support, rating his prospects of winning November’s presidential election as much higher than headline opinion polling figures suggest. While most national surveys show consistent, though moderate, leads for Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, some supporters are unnerved by the small margin of her advantage in three northern battlegrounds – Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin – which are deemed must-wins in her quest for the White House. Although some polls have shown the vice-president with leads of between four and six points in Pennsylvania – generally judged the most important swing state – others show Trump trailing by smaller deficits.

"Zero Dark Thirty" was a pretty solid movie. I liked it because the producers and director didn’t sugarcoat the way that CIA operatives treated terrorists. Terrorists deserved their fate. The composite protagonist “Maya” was a CIA analyst who worked tirelessly to bring justice down on Osama Bin Laden — AKA a bullet to the brain. After Maya had fingered where Bin Laden was, she met with Leon Panetta, the then-head of the CIA. Panetta was portrayed by James Gandolfini.
