Vice President Kamala Harris promised Friday that she would build 3 million new homes in four years if she were elected, but she and President Joe Biden barely managed to build eight EV charging stations in two-and-a-half years.
Harris said at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina:
There’s a serious housing shortage in many places. It’s too difficult to build and it’s driving prices up. As president, I will work in partnership with industry to build the housing. We need both to rent and to buy. We will take down barriers and cut red tape including at the state and local levels. And by the end

Look up the Soviet Brutalism style of architecture. That's what to expect.

Sounds like she's getting desperate to me. She's promising everything to everyone. None of which she will deliver.

This must be some dog whistle to illegals. You know those illegals who get thousands in welfare payments per month; the ones who can afford homes anymore. Thanks to me and you.

She's just showing that she can say anything crazy and the press will support her. She's right on that point.

Same old Communist BS, just like Woody Guthrie wrote:

Just 3 million homes? With the 15 million Biden/Kamala migrants and another 15 million Kamala migrants if she cheats hard enough, that won't be nearly enough structures to house all of these freeloaders.

Remember, speak Clinton. Homes are NOT houses...homes are apartment blocks, and yes, they very much look like the old Soviet blocks. I see them in Plainfield Indiana as well as northers Indianapolis, Downtown Indianapolis...all from the same blueprint. 15min cities.

The forced building of 3 million units regardless of market conditions will make the price of materials and labor soar. The end result will be overpriced, crappy housing units that generate lawsuits - which is probably what Democrats also want.

#7, when Kamalalalasisboombaya said this, I had a vision of Jason’s trip to Moscow to find irena Neski and the awful gray, concrete buildings everywhere.
Remember when PDJT mandated that new Fed buildings must have a standard of beauty and aesthetics.

I think it was in 2008 when BO made lots of promises.
An older black woman was voting for BO because he promised her a free new kitchen.
Do you think this woman is still waiting for her free new kitchen?

Ghettos for all the illegals they trafficked and smuggled into the country. I see 50 trillion in federal debt. When does the country implode?

Houses and huge multi unit apartments are going up so quickly where I live, I don’t recognize my hometown anymore. And we can’t figure out who’s moving here and how they pay for it.

That idiot couldn't even buy a home, much less build one. The problem is her rat voters believe ANY thing their masters tell them and when they don't get it, they are told the evil Republicans prevented the fantasy from happening.

Political rhetoric that means nothing. This is what happens when a politician spends her entire life at the public trough. She has no real world experience, I doubt if she could even hammer a nail in straight.

Kammie is a joke. She couldn't build anything without completely putting the cost on taxpayers. It's the commie style. Promise everything; do nothing.

Perhaps more rentals would be available if the Biden administration had not allowed over 7 million illegals to invade our country. They have to live somewhere and the vast majority of them are NOT in shelters. They are in rental apartments and homes.

Her track record on a much easier task, setting up high speed internet in homes, has been a total failure. No homes have yet been connected under this program. (Insert sad trombone music here)

We wouldn't have a housing shortage if she kept the borders secure. It would be cheaper and have less environmental impact if she would vow send them from whence they came.

FTA: " FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr told Breitbart News earlier this week that despite $42.5 billion in the infrastructure bill for broadband, the effort had yet to connect one American to the Internet — and Vice President Harris was supposed to be in charge of the project."
Almost 43 billion - where did it go?

I guess I must have missed the part in Article II of our Constitution that gives the Executive Branch the authority to cut out state and local governments from zoning and permitting for new housing construction, be it single or multifamily structures. I didn't miss our Constitution's Bill of Rights, namely the 10th Amendment, which states,"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." The Bill of Rights, first ten amendments, were ratified by the States as a key part of our original Constitution and is the basis for placing abortion at the state-level and not as a national policy. The Executive Branch doesn't get to decide housing policy, unless the people choose to ignore the supreme law of the land, in lieu of Marxist rhetoric and executive orders, not to mention funding by fiat rather than by lawful Congressional appropriations.
