President Biden formally unveiled his planned overhaul of the Supreme Court on Monday — with a clear eye on limiting the powers of former President Donald Trump should he succeed him.
The commander-in-chief took the unusual step of unveiling his major planned policy steps in a newspaper op-ed, with the Washington Post helpfully telling readers: “The writer is president of the United States.”
The president laid out three main changes to the court — which he said is “mired in a crisis of ethics” — including term limits and a binding code of conduct.

Well this is hardly a surprise. He's been talking about it for awhile now. If we are not prepared and don't have a plan in place to counteract this insanity then guess what--- it is OUR fault. Where is OUR op ed and why didn't we demand it be presented alongside Biden's?

We have the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government for a reason. They are intact so that not one branch becomes more powerful. Joe Biden wants to overhaul the Supreme Court. Just like Joe - he wants the executive branch to be the most powerful.
Hey Kamala, I would think you would want to run as far as you can with Joe Biden's support for you. Kamala's first campaign ad is about freedom; that is something you and Joe Biden know nothing about - there would have been a new primary.

Pure red meat for the lunatic Hollywood base. The executive branch does not have the power to do any of this. Moreover, with court cases that will affect Obama’s third term, it wouldn’t be wise to be in SCOTUS’ face. I suspect this is an intimidation tactic.

To become an amendment it will take 67 senators, 292 house members and 38 states.

There is ZERO crisis in the Supreme Court. The leftist anticonstitutionalist folks are terrified by the Constitution being used as intended as a fixed, solid RULE BOOK on how the country is to be run. A rule book of how the government will be RESTRICTED and LIMITED.
Any limits on government power, especially on unelected bureaucrats' power angers them and frightens them. They have intended to take over all the machinery of power by using regulations that no one voted for, written by bureaucrats who were never elected by anyone, anywhere.
Insisting on passing laws in Congress angers them. Congress isn't 100% under their control and they cannot get all the extreme leftist power that they want via Congress.
The Supreme Court adhering to the Constitution is slowing their takeover. They MUST crush these people who are slowing, and even reversing their takeover of the country.
And the normal, sane people of this country who revere the Constitution are resisting. This angers them, too.

The Supreme Court has ethics issues? He has the unmitigated gall to say this when his entire life in office has has been mired in ethics problems. Anyway, the Supreme Court is an equal branch in our government and I don't think a President can go changing their charter.

Good luck with that Pedo Joe. Amendments are VERY difficult to birth. You're about to lose everything, unless you brazenly cheat on this election, and 2/3 of America is wise to your tricks and don't like them. We see what we get when Demonrats cheat... we get losers like you and your "high-heels" Kamala.
This time it might mean the beginning of a mostly "uncivil" kind of war.

This is smoke and mirrors to convince their lunatic base that they’re doing something. They’re talking Constitutional Amendment. Never happen. I’m old enough to remember when the left tried to pass the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution. How did that work out?

When he was just a corrupt Senator, quid pro Joe wanted the balance of branches to lean toward the Legislative, using the Judicial to decree rights that the Constitution never mentioned and the Legislative couldn't effect. It's always about giving his own position more authority.

Messing with the Supreme Court is proof positive of the contempt the Democrats and Joe Biden have for the Constitution.

Dingy Kamala is right up there wanting this, and I think she is dumb enough to believe the two of them can change the Supreme Court. We already know they don't follow the Constitution of 3 equal parts of government.

This is meant to be red meat for liberal whackos. Democrats are constantly seething over a branch of the government that they can’t control. They don’t have anywhere close to enough Congress Critters and Governors to make this insanity happen and let’s pray they never do. Election year politics.

How does this even benefit the Democrats in time for the 2024 election? I don't see how they can pass this in time. This seems to be just another talking point and narrative for the Democrats that they will attempt to use to influence the election. I see this as just another ploy to get all those Trump-hating Democrat voters to come out and vote. Many of them look around and are disillusioned with what they see. They know Democrat policies are failing.

Yeah...yeah...WE know...you rats are terrified of the Supreme Court because it's all about the laws written in the constitution...you tried intimidating the justices by calling on demonstrations that are illegal...and trying to attack the families of the justices...just when I think the democrats couldn't sink any lower...they pull this....

How, exactly, would the spouse of a justice be legally bound to obey such a code of conduct? What would the enforcement mechanism be?
