A widespread IT outage linked to a software update from cybersecurity company CrowdStrike has caused significant disruptions to businesses and services worldwide using Microsoft software, affecting banks, airports, TV stations, hotels, and many other industries.
Wired reports that in the early hours of Friday, companies running Microsoft’s Windows operating system began experiencing widespread technical issues, with devices displaying Blue Screens of Death (BSODs). The problem quickly spread globally, impacting organizations in Australia, the UK, India, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States.

CrowdStrike is the company that the Dem Party used to "prove" that Russian hackers stole their info. In reality, their info was released by a disgruntled employee, Seth Rich. This was proven by the timing on the file creations shown in the directory listing of the files. If you look at the file size, and the time between creation of the file above it, all showed a consistent "data rate" or speed of moving data from the computer to the storage device. This speed was far higher than any internet connection that was possible at that time. It proved that the data dump occurred directly from the computer to an attached device, probably a memory stick. This required physical access and passwords....Seth Rich.
I have never trusted CrowdStrike since that day. IMO, they are at least incompetent and very probably corrupt, and possibly, linked to the globalist power structure in their corruption via the Dem Party.

Would the powers that be tell us if it was a cyber attack? I’m really wondering.

This will require that a computer expert goes physically to EACH and EVERY computer involved, and powers it up locally in "safe mode". Then the corrupted files can be replaced with proper files, by transferring them from, probably a mem stick. Then reboot that computer, and check it out.
Then physically move on to the next computer. It will require physical, local access. Since the computer is so crippled that it can't be normally booted without crashing, no remote, 'mass online' methods will work, most probably. Safe mode is intentionally a very limited mode, with all the 'fancy stuff' like networks disabled....because they have to isolate the parts where the problems lie and bring up a very simplified subset of the operating system.
This will take a LOT of time to fix. And a lot of money will be lost. If we'd shorted CrowdStrike stock yesterday, we could have done very well. When they find the idiot who screwed this up....they may find a tree and a rope, or at least want to.

If this is the same CrowdStrike that #1 mentions above, they have a shady history. It was very odd that after the Wiki Leaks doc dump from the DNC servers in 2016 the DNC denied the FBI access to their servers. Instead, the DNC specifically hired CrowdStrike for the forensics. Bear in mind that the co-founder of CrowdStrike and key staff are Ukrainian. Even though the evidence pointed to an inside leak via thumb drive download rather than an external 'hack', CrowdStrike concluded that the document dump was caused by...wait for it...the Russians. Now why would an outfit affiliated with Ukrainians ever say that?

Something stinks here. Operating systems should not allow user software to enter their privileged and partitioned space for the Operating System. Knowing this, how could a change to the user software affect the Microsoft Operating System? It is the user software of CloudStrike that should blow up.

Re #6, there are a lot of files in Windows called "Dynamic Linked Libraries" These are bits of software that lots of different parts of the operating system, or use software, or applications like printers, or network comm cards use. So, these files with the file extension ".dll" have to be replaced very often as the system is upgraded. And external software, with proper permissions CAN replace DLLs.
And it is a fairly classic EF UP to put in a screwed up DLL and take down a BUNCH of critical stuff which all uses some functionality of that particular "utility" software. My first guess is a bad .dll file.

Thanks #1 for the informative posts. I recalled 'Crowdstrike' and an association to the 'Rats, but not the details.
It popped into my head..... when they finally track down who wrote the bungled file(s)..... will be turn out to be a D.E.I. hire?

Wouldn't anyone capable of rational thought be suspicious of an outfit named "Cloudstrike" in the first place???
They sure lived up to their name again.... They really Struck the Crowd.
And I'm tin-hatty enough to wonder if this was merely accidental / or due to incompetence. A lot of people have been warning of a major cyber attack to hit us this week orso.

Duh! CROWDstrike, not Cloudstrike above. That's what I get for staying up all night.
Although, come to think about it, I bet there will be a 'Cloud Strike' soon too. Surely plenty of evildoers would like to steal or destroy all the stuff people store on 'the cloud' (other people's hard drives).

I spent 35 years working in IT. When I retired I was responsible for all business applications in North and South America. We did many major upgrades. One thing you DO NOT do is install one without a backout plan. I don’t believe this was a political plot. They could’ve done far worse if it was. This was due to a lack of proper IT governance and over-confident incompetence. Heads need to roll and probably will, but it will be at the bottom - not the top.

Does CrowdStrike outsource to China, Russia, and Iran? Perhaps they have a DEI program that imports workers/saboteurs from those countries. Sabotage with incompetence as plausible deniability.

Microsoft is a world monopoly. It must be broken up and competitors allowed to prosper.
CroesStrike is an Ukranian company. Trump mentioned CrowdStrike and Hunter already in the fateful phone cal in which Midget Zelenskyy, Colonel Vindman, Eric Ciaramella and Victoria Nuland got our President impeached.

Bill Gates is one of the most evil persons. He gives us Microsoft and Outlook with lots of features no one needs so we have to buy new computers. At work he is suspending service on Window 10, so by upgrading to Windows 11 we have to throw away all computers before 2019.
Bill Gates is buying our farmland, wants to reduce world population to 500 million, and has corrupted our immune systems with mRNA vaccines that do not work. The man thinks his money makes him our owner.

Even before the DNC computer "hack" CS was already known for blaming Russian hackers even when evidence emerged it was not.

Microsoft would have been spearheading the DEI movement at full speed. Bill Gates now knows what returning chickens sound like. Their Windows software doesn't crash so much any more after eleven-plus versions and a gazillian patches but it's nothing to brag about either. Even the easiest things are not pleasant to work with.
