Americans can be forgiven for suffering from whiplash regarding law and order.
In recent weeks the Biden administration and many news outlets, including USA Today and The Hill, have touted declines in violent crime statistics to argue that America is becoming a safer place.
“Right now, with 2023 figures and early 2024, the trends are all pointing down, in a positive direction,” Jeff Asher, whose New Orleans-based AH Datalytics is developing his own “Real-Time Crime Index,” told RealClearInvestigations.
Conservative outlets, including City Journal and the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal, assert that minor declines in headline grabbers like homicides fail to capture what is really happening

Many local police departments have just stopped reporting violent crimes to the FBI, so the "official statistics" are worthless these days.
Crime is way up, regardless of the Biden Lie Machine telling you that crime is down, inflation is down, your paycheck is up, and gas prices are down.......ALL lies.

I don't listen to local TV news due to all the crime news. Crime is worse. Workers want to work from home so they don't need to walk around our city with homeless, filth, smells, and drugs.

Nextdoor is more of the same usual hated social media but it IS media as in communication and it is social as in individual-primary-sources. It is, admittedly, anecdotal. And my account there is a burner.
BUT...it is still filled with tales of encounters, near-encounters and scares. These are leafy, affluent suburbs dealing with a daily torrent of thieves, thugs, chancers, snoopers, addicts creeping through their neighborhoods in search of an unlocked car or open window or, God forbid, an unaccompanied child.
Leftists have done such a thorough job of emptying cities of any and all assets, businesses, residents that the criminal scum who remain MUST migrate to the suburbs simply to find anything to steal.

From the article:
" Still, in 2020, 2021 and 2022, either all or some of the biggest police forces in the U.S. -- New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles -- did not provide data.
There have also been problems with the data that was submitted, including the news in 2022 of major problems with the St. Louis Police Department data, and more recent revelations that figures for sexual crimes provided by the New Orleans Police Department were wrong."
The FBI made reporting far more difficult, which means many cities just stop trying, and many cities have political reasons to intentionally lie, or their Soros prosecutors no longer report huge numbers of violent crimes that they aren't dealing with at all.

There was an article today https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/houston-police-chief-resigns-mayor-shocked-latest-investigations) where the Houston police chief resigned because he knew that the police dept was under reporting crimes. Worse than unreporting, not even investigating. 264,000 crimes that went unreported and not investigated.

Houston Police Chief just resigned. The Houston Police had used code "no personnel available" to avoid investigating 248,000 cases, including rape and murder. The code is used to keep those crimes off the list of reportable crime statistics.

If thefts are down, it's only because fewer people have anything worth stealing.

The good news in Houston is that "stats show crime is way down".
The bad news is that 264,000 violent crimes were just ignored and 'erased' by the police departmen
So, don't worry, crime isn't really exploding under Democrats, and if it is "It's Trump's fault".

I recall watching live testimony regarding the goings-on at a polling place in Atlanta.
A lady -If I recall correctly she was a poll watcher of some sort- stood and told of instance after instance after instance of cheating that she personally witnessed.
After she finished, a guy in a fancy suit -who happened to be a black guy- got up and said to her "You are aware that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (at least I think that was the outfit that he named) found that there was no evidence of cheating or fraud that occurred in that election."
And she replied:
"I know what they reported. And I know what I saw with my own eyes."

During the Obama administration, they improved the unemployment numbers by not counting those who had stopped looking for jobs. As Mark Twain once said, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics.
