Animals at a Dallas zoo reportedly went berserk on Monday due to the total solar eclipse, with some running for cover while shrieking as the sky went dark. “At the Dallas Zoo, giraffes, zebras and ostriches shrieked, squawked and ran for cover as the clouds grew darker,” the Daily Mail reported. [Tweet, video] “We never know how our animals are going to react because they are wild,” said Ann Knutson, a zoological manager of birds at the Dallas Zoo, told the Dallas Morning News. As the sky went dark, gorillas and giraffes were seen running to their indoor habitats while birds headed to their evening nests and suddenly “grew quiet.”

I heard the Big Bidet family were very restless. The Dims will no longer be able to fund raise on their claim that Trump was sending a dragon to eat the sun.

I read the headline and wondered if these "animals" at the zoo happen to have two legs and no documentation as to being here legally.

For us it was bees. For some reason a swarm took cover on my porch till the eclipse passed. Anyone says there is a bee shortage wasn't at my house today.

In the 2017 total eclipse in Wyoming, there were three horses in a field near us. They had come up to the fence not 15 ft from us earlier, but were grazing about 50-100 yds away at the time of totality. They did ......NOTHING different, continued to graze, absolutely unfazed. Today, we had about 90% eclipse here near KC. The light was very odd, not bright enough for a sunny day, but sharp, clear shadows....odd, for sure. The birds were tweeting normally, and didn't change. As we went out for dinner a few hours later, I noticed that they sounded just the same in the evening light. I've heard this story, but my two experiences don't agree with it at all.

Buzzards soared overhead. Cattle grazed. Only changes were that wind stood still and it cooled off very nicely while the eclipse was full. Was really looking forward to seeing animals acting strange - no luck.

Our eclipse in western Colorado was only 60 percent or so. Got out the solar sunglasses and binocs to enjoy a few minutes of it. Birds never batted an eye. Just another beautiful sunny day. Not sure going to the zoo in DFW to observe animal behavior would have been my first thought.

We truly live in the most absurd timeline, and that was proven again on Tuesday after MSNBC interviewed Michael Avenatti from prison to garner his "legal analysis" on Donald Trump. Once touted as a possible presidential candidate by liberal news networks due to his rabid criticism of the former president, Avenatti is currently in the clink due to multiple convictions spanning everything from extortion to embezzlement. You would think that would make him persona non grata among journalistic outlets, but you'd be mistaken. Thus, Ari Melber interviewed Avenatti, a convicted felon who is sitting in prison, as if he were a credible legal authority. You know what? Why not?

No, that headline is not satire. It sounds like it, but it's not. That's just how unhinged the radical left has become. Nothing can happen in this world without the left finding a way to play the victim card — and not even rare solar eclipses are exempt. According to a report from Adam Mahoney at Capital B News, preparations for the rare celestial event "disrupted life for many Black folks living in the state’s largest metro areas of Austin, Dallas, and Houston." I guess the message here is that white people in the path of totality weren't also disrupted by preparations for the event.

In the quotidian cascade of flabbergasting, uni-party-created crises (illegal immigrants replacing Americans, sky-rocketing crime, the mysterious "Disease X," and that "racist" eclipse) it is easy to see the invisible force driving the Marxists into Level-5, Manic Panic mode; fear. Once Mitt Romney's niece, who presided over a six-year losing streak for her party, finally left, the new co-chairs — Michael Whatley and Lara Trump — wasted no time displaying their competence. They quickly set solid priorities and set up the necessary infrastructure to implement them. RNC co-chairs Michael Whatley and Lara Trump appeared on Maria Bartiromo's "Sunday Morning Futures" over the weekend, where they elaborated on the steps they're taking to get the country back on track by securing victory in November. Not even a No. 1 seed — and a 7-footer to defend Donovan Clingan — could prevent Connecticut from repeating as national champions. And with their 75-60 win Monday night in Phoenix against Zach Edey and Purdue, the Huskies became the first program since Billy Donovan’s Florida teams in 2006 and 2007 to win consecutive titles. It wasn’t close by the end of the second half, either. The Huskies took a 15-point lead — expanding the six-point advantage they’d build by halftime — with seven minutes remaining, using a balanced offense, led by Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle, to take control of the game.

Sherman noted that the stakes for Trump were high. “The big story in 2016 and to some extent 2020, was that his campaign was a soap opera. mericans are being urged to stay away from classic American dishes like steak and eggs and some desserts because there's a small risk of catching bird flu. That is the advice of former FDA food safety advisor Dr Darin Detwiler who said animal products that are not properly cooked could harbor small fragments of the virus which is currently tearing through US farms. That means steak should be cooked well done and eggs with runny yolks should be avoided. Even salad dressings like Caesar can be a risk due to being made with raw eggs, he said. First, a 2018 state law has made it nearly impossible to enforce a ban because it prevents police officers from being involved in any crackdown. Only in California. But that's only half the problem. The caucus includes civil rights groups such as the NAACP and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. "G*d d*mn America!" was the first and only serious crisis of Barack Obama's ascension to the Democrats' presidential nomination in 2008. Obama's longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, said those words repeatedly in an infamous videotaped sermon. In an earlier age, a presidential contender sitting still and keeping his mouth shut during years of sermons like Wright's would have torpedoed Obama's presidential ambitions. Anyone from the early GenX cohort and older thought there was a non-zero chance Obama might be toast. Anyone younger — largely denied the Civics classes prior generations were raised on and spoonfed "America is bad, mmkay?" lessons — knew better.
