Michael Cohen, former President Trump’s onetime fixer and lawyer, admitted in a filing unsealed Friday that he inadvertently gave his lawyer fake legal case citations generated by artificial intelligence in connection with a motion to end his supervised release early. U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Furman previously called the citations into question, writing earlier this month, "In the letter brief, Mr. Cohen asserts that, "[a]s recently as 2022, there have been District Court decisions, affirmed by the Second Circuit Court, granting early termination of supervised release." Furman added, "As far as the Court can tell, none of these cases exist."

Holy cow what a fall from stature. Remember when you first learned of this guy? He was strutting around NY in a designer suit w/an air of import...He was Trump's "fixer." What a great gig. Pay hush monies, threaten deadbeats. Whatever was too grimy for the real attorneys. And now look at him. It is sad. Could his life possibly be worse if he had told Mueller's team to go to hell? He had no "evidence" to turnover. So they just let him alienate himself from the only man who could protect him and hung him out to dry. Pathetic. Maybe when Trump wins in 2024 he can pardon him for being a putz.

This is the second such case to happen this week. Must be a big buzz on lawyer blogs about the possibility of using ChatGPT to do legal motions... then they don't even check the citations! LOL. They actually think the because it's "AI" it won't make things up. Somewhere along the way ChatGPT learned that "real" lawyers make stuff up all the time!

I credit independent journalism, Elon Musk with his fight for free speech on the internet, and the truism that eventually reality bites for my belief that the West may be wising up to the toxic mix of Islamism, traditional anti-Semitism, and Communism.
