NBC News came under fire on social media over a "ridiculous" headline that seemed to fault "conservative news outlets" for reporting that a Democrat Senate staffer filmed a gay sex video in a Capitol Hill hearing room. The report came after the Daily Caller published an amateur pornographic video Friday that showed an alleged congressional staffer engaging in sex with another man in Hart Senate Office Building room 216. According to the Daily Caller, the video was leaked after being "shared in a private group for gay men in politics." Posts on social media claimed the alleged staffer worked for Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md.

Sen. Ben Cardin has aired his disappointment over reports that a now-former staffer had taken part in filmed sexual activities in a Senate hearing room.
The Maryland senator spoke two days after Democrat congressional aide Aidan Maese-Czeropski, 24, was fired over the emergence of the tape - which was reportedly filmed in Hart Senate Office Building room 216.
The video depicts a graphic sex act between two men, and was reportedly leaked after being 'shared in a private group for gay men in politics.'
During an appearance on FNC’s “Special Report,” former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) called on viewers not to back former President Donald Trump.
She said she believed he would not uphold the rule of law.
Cheney said, “Every single president, Republican and Democrat, since George Washington, has ensured the peaceful transition of power. Donald Trump tried to seize power. So we can disagree with Biden policies, but the fact that he tried to seize power, the fact that he ignored the rulings of 61 courts, the fact that he ignored his own attorney general, his own White House counsel, who told him what he was saying about the election was false.
Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott - fed up with apparent inaction from President Joe Biden on the current immigration crisis at the Southern border - has approved a sweeping new law that allows police to arrest migrants who illegally cross into the US.
The law will also give local judges the authority to order migrants to leave the country, as roughly 2,000 cross the border with Mexico every day.
The law, known as SB4, takes effect in March and allows any Texas law enforcement officer to arrest people who are suspected of entering the country illegally. Those who re-enter face penalties ranging from 180 days in jail to 20 years

Jen Psaki, now an MSNBC host, lamented that Hunter Biden’s surprise press conference last week may have done more to hurt the Biden reelection effort. The stunt came after the younger Biden defied a House Oversight Committee subpoena and refused to give closed-door testimony, opting to stage an outdoor platform to whine about his being attacked.
Psaki mused that the White House is probably wishing the president’s son would “stop talking in public.”

Eric Swalwell (D-CA) gave a speech from the steps of the Capitol attacking the GOP and then never showed up for the interview. He thus invited contempt charges, making his situation worse, and the House GOP said they would start the proceedings to initiate contempt proceedings against him. Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki isn't a lawyer but she seems to have more sense than Hunter Biden, at least when it comes to what makes sense legally and politically.

It has long been obvious that the Democrats badly want Donald Trump to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. This may seem counterintuitive in light of a recent spate of polls showing the former president leading Joe Biden, but this is primarily an artifact of the latter’s weakness. The most reliable polls show Trump bumping up against a ceiling of about 47 percent of the popular vote, which is consistent with his performance in the last two elections. Moreover, in order to win in the Electoral College, he must recapture several swing states Biden narrowly won in 2020.

An elected Democratic official in Washington, D.C., has been fined by the District of Columbia Board of Elections for voting twice in 2020.
Vanessa Rubio, an advisory neighborhood commissioner in D.C., voted in the District of Columbia and Maryland during the 2020 presidential election, according to NBC 4 Washington reporter Mark Segraves. She reportedly told the Board of Elections that since DC is not a state, she believed voting twice would be acceptable.
