These days, harassment isn't hard to commit. One quick ticket to Tormenter Town may await in a lavatory line. Such is illustrated by a story out of Illinois. The Waterloo Community Unit School District Five (WCUSD5) doesn't deal in sexual absolutes. Penises and vaginas may belong to women and men, respectively. Therefore, on May 15th, the system invited enrollees to the restroom of their choice. Per the "Use of Restroom Facilities and Other Gender Identities" policy, students can use the opposite-sex facility if they meet a crop of criteria:

Comments:

Next move: harass straight kids until they cry Uncle and use the 'wrong' restrooms.

OK, they maybe some REAL harrassment is in order. If you're going to be charged with it, might as well do it. When I was young, I never understood why some guys would intentionally go out "to beat up qu**rs". I never cared, and thought that this was just mean and stupid. I'm starting to think I was on the wrong side of that issue. Interesting that "the q word" isn't allowed in comments, but is splattered everywhere, all the time by the actual people who call themselves that name.

If the parents don't take this bull by the horns and RESOLVE this problem THROUGHOUT the ENTIRE school system then they should never have had kids to start with.

Perhaps the tide is turning. As someone (Jordan Peterson?) recently told the Gender Identity Mafia, "I'm coming for your children. I'll turn your daughters into women and your sons into men".

#1, The gay people you endorse beating up are not the reason bathrooms have become a war zone. The reason students are angry is that the boys don’t want girls in their bathroom and the girls especially don’t want boys in their bathroom. Transsexuals, actually the adults egging them on, not gays are causing this. Beating up random people is hardly a solution.

Re #6. I never thought that it was a solution. But sometimes, when perverse, mentally deranged folks have pushed peversion endlessly - being against all forms of deviants seems to be a more reasonable view than I used to think. The "leave them alone, they won't cause any harm" approach doesn't seem to work.

When you set up rules for "special people" you get long lines of students lining up to take advantage of them. Not sure how the school intends to prove the students are lying. Last I heard there was no test to prove a male is lying about his gender identity. We were told transgender women (biological men) could not feel safe around other biological men in male locker rooms and rest rooms. Transgender women feared other biological men would beat them up if they had to use male restrooms. To keep biological men who identify as women safe, biological women were instructed to tolerate and remain silent, should a man enter a previously "safe space" for women. It is entirely proper that In our culture, little girls raised in mentally healthy families are taught to be modest, and to set boundaries regarding men touching them, or trying to see them unclothed. Biological men are not supposed to spy on naked women. Males who get caught peeping through windows or hiding cameras so they can watch girls who think they are in a private space are charged with the crime of voyeurism. Those behaviors result from what is in the mind of the perp. Unfortunately, ALL males are on the honor system. If they're in the ladies room, they simply claim to identify as women. They're the final "authority." Biology doesn't matter.

Veteran climate worrier Greta Thunberg announced Friday she has shifted her attention away from the world’s weather to focus on Israel’s fate as it fights Hamas and its associated terrorist organizations. Thunberg took to social media and posted on X – formerly known as Twitter – to call a strike “in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected.” She also wants an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Thunberg’s call for peace and harmony in the Middle East comes three days after she was arrested in London during a protest against fossil fuels.

CVS began pulling popular over the counter cough and cold products from its shelves today because they don't work. The pharmacy chain is removing oral meds that contain phenylephrine as their only active ingredient, which was shown to be no better than placebo at treating a stuffy nose. The drugs are taken by millions of Americans and include brands like Benadryl Allergy Plus Congestion, Sudafed PE, and Tylenol Cold and Flu and Severe Day & Night. It comes weeks after a panel of advisers to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruled phenylephrine 'is not effective' at standard or even high doses when taken in pill or liquid form.

As the war between Israel and Hamas intensifies, former President Barack Obama finally chose to break his silence on the hostilities. In a post on social media, he affirmed his support for Israel, condemned the killing of innocent civilians, and called for a lasting peace in the region. While some might appreciate Obama’s sentiments, perhaps he is not the best vessel for a message about the evils of killing civilians given his drone record and financial support of Iran. On Monday, the former president wrote: All Americans should be horrified and outraged by the brazen terrorist attacks on Israel and the slaughter of innocent civilians.

Who do we let out on conditions of release with different types of monitoring? I mean, you know, it's just the system isn't set up to put everybody in custody," KOAT legal expert John Day said.

Dozens of people were arrested after a group of teenagers looted several stores in Philadelphia’s Center City District on Tuesday. The flash-mob-style ransacking at stores such as Apple, Foot Locker and Lululemon came after a peaceful protest over a judge’s decision to dismiss all charges, including murder, against former Philadelphia police officer Mark Dial in the Aug. 14 fatal shooting of 27-year-old Eddie Irizarry. Interim Philadelphia police commissioner John Stanford said at a news conference that the looters, who were seen on video in masks and hoodies, were not part of the protest but rather “a bunch of criminal opportunists.”

Twenty-five years ago, California enacted Proposition 10, one of the most aggressive anti-smoking campaigns in the country, referring to tobacco, not marijuana. Called the First Five program, it sharply increased taxes on cigarettes and directed much of the proceeds to a variety of programs and new agencies aimed at helping young families who are raising children. These included things such as preschools, pediatric healthcare, and literacy projects. It has been widely considered a success. But there is a growing problem with this project. It’s apparently been too successful.

It was horrible enough that retired police chief Andreas Probst, 64, was hit and killed while riding his bike in Las Vegas.
