The next Speaker of the House will be

It looks like the choice for the next Speaker of the House is leaning heavily in favor of Rep. Jim Jordan. Essentially the battle is between Jordan and Rep. Steve Scalise and Jordan is coming out on top. I may be wrong but the reporting on the speaker’s race has been tilted toward Jordan since he tossed his hat in the ring. On Thursday, Axios reported that McCarthy allies are working to gather support for Jordan, not the traditional choice, which would be Steve Scalise. Scalise is the House Majority Leader and at the top of the party leadership. In normal times, he would be the next speaker.

I don't trust this guy at all. He's great at that coatless, roll-up-the-sleeves ranting, raving and arm-waving, coming off as Mr. Conservative Tough Guy.. All theatrics, all hot air, zero results. My money says that he's Trey Gowdy II, but we'll see.

I like the guy. I like what he says. I think he has his eye on the right ball. I have a hard time differentiating between political reality (eg, there’s no political way the budget can be balanced) vs political expediency (eg, 99% of those who call for a balanced budget don’t actually want one; does that automatically make them RINOs?). An immediate balanced budget would crater this “constantly increasing debt” structured economy before the passing vote, but there’s no way to get such a vote. So, a gradual plan is needed but this country has no political will for such planning. I think Trump’s plan was first to stabilize the fundamental pillars of the economy (eg, the military and energy supply) and then to grow out of the deficit. But after such growth, the majority would clamor for more free stuff and we’d be right back here again. Maybe a balanced budget amendment would work. Right now the Dims are trying to arrest their political enemies and are setting mad criminals loose on society to terrorize. HeilRee wants to set up reeducation camps for Republicans. We are far from rationality.

“ UPDATE: And just like that, Donald Trump enthusiastically endorsed Jim Jordan for speaker late Thursday night on Truth Social. Stick a fork in it, it’s done. Jordan will be Speaker of the House.” By the logic I’ve seen in some posts here, does this now make President Trump a RINO? 🤐🤭

I like Jordan, but have heard him bloviating for years without one bit of action - subpoena, criminal referral, motion to impeach, etc. I don't know what it is with our Republicans in Congress, but collectively they have the testosterone level of an 8-year-old girl. If he gets the Speakership, I hope he grows a pair. I think the base has had it with talk. Not one of these very guilty idiots involved in the coup against Trump or anything Biden and his minions have done has had any consequences. DO SOMETHING!!!!

Our Trump merely endorses the one he is being told is the inevitable, just as with RINO Ronna. If Scalise would have been the #1 that House leadership were pushing, Trump would have said the same thing. It’s his pattern. Well #2, reliable MAGA insiders on War Room have said the same about JJ the last few years. I believe Mike Davis said he is a show horse not a work horse. I find myself choosing to pray for him, trying to always speak well of him if he is chosen.

To answer #6's rude question, including banned and ugly emogies. I trust President Trump. If he thinks Jordan is the best of the lot that he has to work with, then I'm going to trust his judgement. Perhaps with the leverage of President Trump behind him, Speaker Jordan may surprise us and actually live up to his "wrestler" image. It will be the championship match of his life. Of our lives also. Things may be about to deteriorate even more, and where the Biden team has led us is into a real mess. As we reported earlier, a horrific terrorist war by Hamas is underway against Israel and Iran is celebrating, calling it a "proud operation," chanting, "Death to Israel" and "Death to America." According to reports, now the Taliban have announced that they are asking Iran, Iraq, and Jordan for passage through to Israel to help Hamas continue its terrorism against the Jewish state. They state they intend to "conquer Jerusalem." So if we don't get the wider war out of Ukraine, it looks like it might

Prominent Republicans laid into the Biden administration for empowering Iran on Saturday, just hours after Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israel and sent large groups of terrorists surging across the Gaza border. The historic attack on Israel comes just weeks after the Biden administration agreed to unfreeze $6 billion in frozen Iranian oil revenue in exchange for the release of five American prisoners. While the Biden administration insisted that the revenue could only be used for humanitarian purposes, Iranian leaders made clear after the deal closed that they would use the revenue how they sought fit.

As RedState reported, the largest militant attack on Israel in decades is currently occurring, with bands of Palestinian terrorists roaming Israeli streets, entering homes and bomb shelters, and murdering civilians. That proceeded with a massive rocket barrage launched from Palestinian-controlled territories. What's clear is that this isn't like other attacks, and the videos coming out of what has turned into an all-out war are horrifying. Unfortunately, I believe the woman above has already perished, as there's another video (which I'm not going to share) showing what appears to be her lifeless body stripped and being paraded by Palestinians with rifles. Joe Biden’s abrupt conversion to becoming one of the MAGA devils he claims to despise is accelerating. On the heels of determining that he has an “immediate need” to finish building Trump’s border wall, the White House announced last night that deportation flights of illegal Venezuelan migrants would resume imminently. We might be tempted to argue that these flights should be packed with illegal aliens from any country, but I suppose we should be grateful and take whatever we can get out of this crew. But the specific choice to deport only Venezuelans is particularly curious since it’s coming from the same administration that told us only two weeks ago

Disney has failed to make any inroads with conservative Americans who turned on the entertainment industry giant over its woke politics, according to results from a new Rasmussen Reports survey previewed exclusively by The Daily Wire. Just over 60% of Republicans have an unfavorable opinion of Disney, including 35% who say they have a “very unfavorable” opinion, the survey conducted by Rasmussen in late September found. The results are starkly divided by political identity. While among Republicans only 32% have a favorable view and 61% have an unfavorable view, for Democrats the results are almost exactly the opposite — 61% of Democrats view Disney favorably and just 29% unfavorably.

Hillary Clinton has to be the Rasputin of 21st century American politics. Grigori Rasputin – the “Mad Monk” -- was a Russian religious fanatic who managed to worm his way into the Russian imperial family with a claim that he could alleviate the hemophilia suffered by Tsarevich Alexei. In short order he was exercising personal control over Tsarina Alexandra, the boy’s mother, who in turn influenced the easily-led Tsar Nicholas II. Rasputin’s erratic behavior led to extreme alarm among the Russian nobility. At last, late in December 1916, Prince Yusupov invited Rasputin to his St. Petersburg palace, where Rasputin was fed a lethal dose of poisoned cakes
