"The Blind Side" author Michael Lewis, whose book based on the life of former NFL player Michael Oher was adapted for the film and was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, broke his silence on the drama between the subject and the Tuohy family. Lewis told The Washington Post on Wednesday that no one who was involved in the book saw millions of dollars from the movie. The movie earned nearly $310 million from the box office. In the book, Lewis followed Oher from his upbringing in a poor community, his years at a private school in Tennessee to his alleged adoption by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy.

OP, I know, it’s real hard to make hard judgements about things at this point, isn’t it? I do hesitate to draw comparison with Colin K. Colin never had a successful NFL career. I do wonder, however, if the same type race-baiting, BLM women who turned CK to the dark side are influencing Mr. Oher.
We will be seeing many voices come out now, probably all meaning well, but also protecting their own interests with regard to the movie. I hope this does not escalate into further ugliness.

Follow the money. It will be sad if a 'feel good' story turns out to be one gigantic ripoff. Whatever, don't really care.

I have given my opiniion on other threads. I will wait for the cort to view the evidence and decide.
As for this guy’s book, Leigh Tuohy was the person who promoted its being written and published.

This is heartbreaking. Praying for all lies to be exposed and for love and forgiveness to overcome.

The parable of the scorpion and the frog warned of this.
“Why did you sting me?” asked the frog? “Now we’ll both drown!”
“Because I’m a scorpion”, said the scorpion. “It’s my nature.”

So why does he need so badly to be adopted? He has a biological, albeit drug addicted, mother. Does he hate the "black" one and want the "white" momma? Daayam, the guy was catapulted to play College ball and on to the Pros for 10+ years! I'd say that Conservatorship did him no visible harm!

How much did the actors make? Is he going to sue them as well?
Last figures I saw claimed he made over 38Million in the NFL, had several other contracts, with hefty advances, to write several books...Where did it all go?
We had an adopted "Cousin" in our family, when his already elderly dad got ready to retire he convinced him to sign over all of the 7 family farms to his "Management". As soon as the papers were signed, still in the Lawyers office he said "You have 24 hours to get off MY property". Kicked Ben and his wife off from the properties that had been in the family for 7 generations, forbid him from ever setting foot on them again, including the Family Cemetery.. If Uncle Ben hadn't removed his retirement cottage from the Farm Corp, and put in in aunt Rosa's name they would have been homeless at 80.

#6 - I read an article written by Michael Lewis around the time "The Blind Side" was published (before the movie). He talked about how he got interested in Michael Oher and football. He and Sean Touhy were friends and former classmates at Isadore Newman High School in New Orleans and had kept up with each other. Lewis happened to be in Memphis for some reason and had dinner with the Touhys while they were taking care of Michael Oher (while he was at Ole Miss). Naturally, they told him what they were doing for Michael. Lewis went home and told his wife about the Touhys and Michael, and Lewis' wife told him that he should look into them for his next book. The Touhys cooperated with him because he was Sean's longtime friend. He's had a ringside seat to the relationship between Oher and the Touhys for years, so he should be pretty familiar with the facts, particularly about how much money the Touhys made off of the movie.
