At least 45 bags with human remains have been found in a ravine in the western Mexican state of Jalisco during a search for eight people reported missing last week, local authorities said Thursday. 'Forty-five bags with human remains have been extracted that belong to both male and female people,' the state prosecutor's office said in a statement. The gruesome discovery was made on Tuesday at the bottom of a 120ft (40m) ravine in the municipality of Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara, a large industrial hub.

Sounds like the cartel uses at least 10 trash bags per murder. That sort of excessive plastic consumption should get the greenies riled up. When can we expect greta to sail to Mexico to wag she/her finger at their/them?

Travel in Mexico is unwise. The government in Mexico D.F. has only marginal control over most of the country. Years ago I had a friend that lived in a remote part of Chiapas. He said that the local patron, a transplanted German landowner, was the law of the land even to the point of being a judge, jury, and occasionally, executioner. Locals accepted this without complaint. Government officials were mute. My friend said crime activity was rare...but that was long ago.

A cartel call centre? They need to know where to send their drug runners. Think of it as logistics for the drug supply chain. Did one undercover cop infiltrate the operation so they executed everyone?

I had a similar situation in Canada...not as vicious...but still very dictatorial from the Detroit boys to trudeau's government...canadians have lived under pressure for years...so they are more compliant than WE Americans...take the trucker's demonstration...trudeau shut them down quickly with little blow back...canacks are just more docile ...I recall their laughing when I challenged their system and won....they couldn't believe my tenacity...I crossed my arms and said...."oh yeah...says who?".....

A cigar that was once smoked by Winston Churchill is set to be auctioned alongside a handwritten note and the jar it was once stored in. Churchill, the British prime minister who led the United Kingdom through most of World War II, gave the cigar as a memento in August 1944 to Hugh Stonehewer-Bird, the consul general in Rabat, Morocco. “It’s amazing what turns up in glass jars. This is an iconic piece of memorabilia connected to one of Britain’s most famous prime ministers and the Second World War,” said Charles Hanson, the owner of the auction house selling the unique item.

Washington— Democrats are deeply conflicted about the food aid requirements that President Joe Biden negotiated as part of the debt ceiling deal, fearing damage has been done to safety net programs that will be difficult to unravel in the years ahead as Republicans demand further cuts. Bargaining over toughening work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, became the focal point for the White House and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., up until the end.
