The Texas state House voted to impeach GOP state Attorney General Ken Paxton by a vote of 121-23 on Saturday, setting up the possibility that he could be removed from office.
A conservative warrior in the courts, Paxton has been the subject of high-profile headlines recently that talked about his lawsuits against the Biden administration. More recently, however, the AG seems to have fallen from grace within his own party, as a Republican led panel in the state House approved 20 impeachment articles against him this week. Investigators accused Paxton of a number of misdoings. Among them is an alleged attempt to hide an affair, misusing

There's bluster, virtue singling, and then there's hard reality.
(It takes a two-thirds vote in the Texas Senate to convict.)

The Uniparty gets very unhappy when politicians do what is right and correct for the people.

The hearing was not the impassioned, fierce support for Paxton I was expecting. It looked like the Republican traitors and Dems were a bit better prepared too. Arguments this was unethical, etc. do not hold water with these enemies of Trump, MAGA, conservatives. Just like Trump was impeached twice it was unjust and unconstitutional. We are at WAR.

The vote was 121-23. I voted for Louie Gohmert in the primary. He resigned from the U.S. Congress, and was a member of the House Freedom Congress. If Gov Abbott appoints anyone as successor, or interim while there is a resolution, I would hope it would be Louis Gohmert. I hope Texas Republicans are not making a Nixon mistake, when the Democrats completed a coup of a Republican President that has just won a landslide election. I despise this process, where even the Texas House members said they knew about this proceeding only 2 days prior, and are now voting at the end of this legislative session that expires Monday, are voting on Memorial Day Weekend, when Texas citizens are vacationing, and have not been informed of what is occurring. No evidence has been provided the public, no cross examinations have been made, no witnesses appearing in public, everything done behind closed doors. That is the very definition of railroading.

The POCs (not color) got him impeached. I hope people get a chance to be heard at the trial rather than ram it though on a holiday too. If Dims can't win, they just pose as Republicans. It is hard to weed them out with so much money always supporting them.
This is a VERY SAD day for Texas. It will make things much easier for the leftists terrorists in the national government now.

I don't think all but 23 of the Republicans in the Texas House are RINO's or uniparty. Paxton operated as if he was untouchable and abused power with abandon. Hopefully a speedy trial and then good riddance. Then find a person with integrity who can fight Washington with equal energy as Paxton has.

The DOJ is investigating someone who has gone hard and heavy against the Biden Administration. This should send a strong message not to mess with Biden, and clarify that Texas is still the state of George W. Bush.

#6. Good luck finding anyone that the lawyers in Austin won't tear down. For those that don't know, Austin is the Portland of Texas. Expecting government lawyers in Austin Texas to not make up dirt about any Republican AG that is fighting for people is a fool's errand. Paxton has been a great help fighting the invasion from the south and incredibly dangerous overreach from DC. Texas will miss him. No One is perfect, and Paxton certainly isn't. Some may think he is a sorry sob, but he is the Texan's sob. We need him to keep fighting. It would be pretty much impossible to find someone to stand up when they know what is awaiting them from RINOs in Austin.
The Chairman of the House insisted once again on putting Democrats in as Chairman of several committees, (tradition you know), just to show how stupid they really are.
