The Tampa Pride on the River event has been canceled due to the series of anti-groomer bills passed by the Florida legislature and signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), which in part imposes penalties on establishments that expose children to sexually explicit drag shows and similar adult performances. DeSantis recently signed a series of anti-groomer legislation designed to protect children from the radical left’s woke gender agenda (snip) One of the pieces of legislation signed is titled the “Protection of Children,” or HB 1438, which imposes fines on establishments that allow children to attend sexually explicit adult shows, such as drag shows.

If the purpose wasn't to groom the children, why would they feel obliged to cancel it now that children can't participate?

Sounds like, up to this point, Florida was a pedophile's paradise. Nice going, DeSantis! I'm really getting hostile to trans activists. All of their actions are setting off reactions the LGB community never sparked in me. I bet they're mourning Kinsey's takedown, as well.

I went to one pride parade back in the early 90's. I was embarrassed and never went to another. What parent, in their right mind would subject their kids to this? I dont know of a single straight parent that would take their children to the Playboy Mansion. well.....some dads might take their teenage sons, but certainly not their toddlers.

Precisely, #1. They can party all night long but why do they want children at these events? I have yet to hear the answer to that question.

I've seen enough pictures of pride events to know that small children should be nowhere near them - lots of nudity and public sex acts.

Gay pride my backside. Indoctrination to perversion is more correct. They know full well little minds are not developed and that's why all these perverts are after the children.
