What’s the complaint? I think its nice that an attorney gets a real job. Maybe she will get some insight into how badly our government has screwed up health care. Nurses are the best of people.

I wouldn’t want someone who is as inept and incompetent as Gardner being responsible for my medical care. Nurse? I don’t think so.

Addendum to comments. Gardner may not be a “saint” but the frequency of saint like nature among real working nurses is considerably higher than in the general population. Getting a nursing degree doesn’t make one an actual Nurse. Ongoing destruction of the “helping professions” by government policy is no doubt decreasing the likelihood of saint-like description. Anyone who persists in working as a “real nurse” presently has my admiration.

Dr. Seuss's political leanings are well known—he was a liberal Democrat who opposed fascism in the 1940s and President Nixon in the 1970s. The new movie of his book The Lorax is a fairly unsubtle pro-environment allegory. Less well celebrated are Theodor Seuss Geisel's early advertising and political cartoons from the 1920s through the 1940s, which feature a decidely racist streak. (snip)Later in his career, Seuss mended his ways and drew anti-racist cartoons, a couple of which we've also included in this gallery. He also expressed regret for his anti-Japanese views
