Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Wednesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that it would be a “disaster” if the Republican Party nominated former President Donald Trump in 2024 and “dangerous” if he wins, which would be possible.
Discussing Trump Tuesday night at the Aspen Ideas Festival, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said, “It’s really important for Democrats to take him seriously. There can be a tendency for people on the Democratic side to say, ‘Well, look, sure, the Republicans will nominee hm the Republicans are a mess but we’ll be able to beat him in a general. And that is playing with fire. It’s a risk we can’t take.

Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis declared that as president he would eliminate the cabinet-level Departments of Education, Commerce, Energy, and the IRS.
DeSantis, who has delivered on multiple promises in his state during his tenure, made the comments while speaking to Fox News’ Martha MacCallum, who asked him if there were any federal agencies he would attempt to eliminate.“We would do Education, we would do Commerce, we’d do Energy, and we would do IRS,” DeSantis declared.
“If Congress will work with me on doing that, we’ll be able to reduce the size and scope of government,” he continued.

The White House said Wednesday that President Joe Biden, 80, has started using a CPAP machine to treat his sleep apnea - after he was spotted with visible indentations on his face.
The mask lines were apparent as the president spoke with reporters on the South Lawn Wednesday morning before a day trip to Chicago.
The West Wing quickly shut down conspiracy theories by confirming the lines were caused by the device that helps sufferers breath when they sleep.

The Chinese spy balloon that was shot down over the Atlantic Ocean in early February was built -- at least partly -- using American off-the-shelf parts, a U.S. official has confirmed to ABC News.
A second U.S. official was also able to confirm that the balloon did not appear to have transmitted any of the data it collected on its journey above North America, as was initially reported by the Wall Street Journal. The first official could not say whether any of the American gear was sold illicitly to China but said determining whether any of it came from illegal trade was a topic of serious concern

The Supreme Court has ruled that it is unlawful for colleges and universities to use race as a factor in admissions, overturning rulings from as far back as 1978 that claimed institutions of higher education had a valid interest in promoting racial diversity on campus and could thus give favorable consideration to black and Latino applicants in their admissions process.
Two separate decisions were reached in which the nation’s highest court ruled that Harvard University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill engaged in unlawful discriminatory practices based on race that violated the Constitution.

Three school districts in the state of New Jersey require parental notification if a child begins transitioning their gender. As a result, they are being sued by the state.
This is outrageous and shows that concerned parents who have been showing up at school board meetings in recent years had every right to be worried about where things are going.
Imagine such a monumental thing happening to your child and the school you fund with your tax dollars hiding it from you.

President Joe Biden slammed the U.S. Supreme Court for its decision striking down racial preferences in college admissions on Thursday, declaring in the White House: “This is not a normal court.”
Biden scheduled a press event to react to the decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, in which a group representing Asian-American students sued Harvard and the University of North Carolina over their affirmative action programs. The court struck down racial preferences in college admissions that could not meet the “strict scrutiny” standards of the Constitution’s Fourteenth Amendment.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) suggested Monday that the problem with American politics is that “we’re electing idiots.”

Sen. Marco Rubio says he has privately heard from "public figures" who have "firsthand knowledge" about UFOs, but many of those individuals are fearful about the consequences if they make their claims public. Rubio told NewsNation this week that he has spoken to people who have "firsthand knowledge, firsthand claims of certain things" involving UFOs.
"Some are public figures," Rubio said. "I am trying to be protective of these people. Some of these people still work in the government, and frankly, a lot of them are fearful – fearful of their jobs, fearful of their clearances, fearful of their careers
