Be Very Afraid: The RESTRICT Act Is Exactly

The RESTRICT Act is the very definition of a Trojan horse: innocuous on the outside, lethal on the inside. And it is being wheeled toward the gates, with the help of Republicans in Congress. (In case you missed the story of the Trojan Horse — the actual one, not the virus — you can find it here.) Ostensibly, the RESTRICT Act is designed to protect Americans from TikTok — you know, that nifty piece of Chinese spyware masquerading as a fun way to showcase dance videos, asinine behavior, and other things people can live without. And Congress is interested in protecting the country from bad international actors.

How's the "Patriot Act" working out for patriots? Perhaps there's a lesson there. If the "Sheeple" don't' begin to recognize false advertising soon and speak out, there will be no peaceful remedies left to employ to avoid "certain consequences".

I wrote my congressman and senator to urge them to correct, or preferably trash RESTRICT. John SCornyn would probably vote for it as-is just to spite those of us citizens he calls "the mob."

I just saw Jesse Waters eviscerate Lindsey Graham over it, he’s a sponsor and obviously hadn’t read what’s in it , he at least admitted he didn’t know the details and promised to find out. Check it out.

The problem is simple: find a way to stop influence being vectored by the CCP from reaching 150+ million smart phones that are mostly in the hands of young people - all of whom are begging to be influenced. Leave it to our government to not let that crisis go to waste.

The act hides under the cloak of controlling tik tok when in fact the act is designed to restrict access to the internet and access to "unapproved" websites. Aka censorship, folks.

This is Senate Bill 686 (but it is really Satan's Bill 666). It doesn't really have anything to do with TikTok (I was wondering why when I first heard about it why our Senate was turning on their Chinese Masters) What it really is is the complete destruction of privacy and the First amendment. To boil it down to its essence: If you use an electronic device to communicate ANYTHING that our rulers (elected, appointed or bureaucrats) don't like, they can throw you in prison for 20 years and fine you $1,000,000.00 WITHOUT TRIAL, without proof. And "AI" will continuously monitor the entire electronic spectrum for 'wrong-think". What they intend makes what the NSA , FBI. CIA (and Google) have been doing so far look like no more than a milder version of "Mrs. Kravitz" looking out the window at the Steven's house in the old Bewitched tv series.

The tragic shootings in Tennessee this week have unsurprisingly brought out the worst in progressive media. Although three of the victims were children, a fact that should dominate the coverage of such a terrible crime, mainstream outlets have spent an inordinate amount of time lamenting the “increased danger” to transgender people after learning the shooter identified as transgender. Now comes word that one outlet actually went so far as to ban reporters from using the term “transgender” to describe the transgender shooter. In an exclusive report on Thursday, The New York Post revealed CBS News executives sent out a memo demanding

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared to invert the U.S. justice system in a statement Thursday as she was reacting to news that a Manhattan grand jury had voted to indict former President Donald Trump. Pelosi, the former House speaker, placed the burden of proof in legal cases on defendants, saying that “everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence” and that the justice system “grants [Trump] that right.” “The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law,” Pelosi wrote on social media. “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. The judge in FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s ongoing fraud case previously suggested the best way to stop the defendant from accessing the internet was to throw him in jail. Former CEO of failed crypto exchange FTX Sam Bankman-Fried was already ordered to live every millennial’s nightmare and move back in with his parents. Now, prosecutors have laid out how SBF is being grounded, curtailing his ability to access the internet or even play any online video games. Bankman-Fried, who commonly goes by “SBF” online, is awaiting trial regarding 12 fraud, conspiracy, and campaign finance charges regarding his time heading the now-bankrupt FTX.

Happy Thursday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) We’re going to take a break from the horror in Nashville here at the top today. There will no doubt be plenty more to write about that in the days (weeks?) to come. Here at the Briefing we are all too often given opportunities to examine the stunning incompetence of various members of the Biden administration. Joining us in today’s Spotlight of Shame is Dept. of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Teachers union president Randi Weingarten called for gun confiscation Tuesday, saying the U.S. must follow "what other great democracies" have done to ban guns, following the shooting at a Christian Nashville school. Weingarten addressed the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Tuesday morning regarding the aftermath of the school shooting that killed three children and three adults. After having a moment of silence for the victims, she reignited calls to ban "assault weapons." "Today, we renew our call for common sense gun safety legislation, including a ban on assault weapons. This is an epidemic," Weingarten said. She added, "It’s an epidemic that our great nation must solve.

Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Ever since Joe Biden and his handlers decided to turn the Federal Bureau of Investigation into the American Stasi, we’ve been hearing that the real threat to America is coming from “right wing radicals” or some such nonsense. The FBI has been targeting soccer moms at school board meetings and pro-lifers who pray outside of abortion clinics. You know, the scariest people among us. Every time I write about the rogue FBI and its goon squad priorities, I conclude by worrying about what the Bureau might be missing in the way of people who might actually commit violence. Communism and other state-controlled economies have always wrestled with the problem of “useless mouths” If the state feeds, then who shall it feed? The easy answer: only those who work. Some Marxists felt that there was a reciprocal obligation to work. No work, no grub. “There can be no stronger or more pressing motive to work for the society in which all participate than this unshakable sense of communal service. But where this sense is lacking and physical disability or mental laziness engenders a shirker,

President Biden turned up in the briefing room with a few remarks about the devastating mass murder in Nashville yesterday. The White House has posted the transcript of Biden’s remarks here. Biden added remarks on the Nashville tragedy to his prepared text, but he found it an appropriate moment to perform his usual shtick. While much is still not known and authorities are understandably not releasing all the information about Audrey Elizabeth Hale, the 28-year-old female who massacred six innocents at Covenant Presbyterian School, a private school in Nashville, Tennessee, some known facts have trickled out. And perhaps because some of these facts go against the politically correct narrative about murderers, victims, gender, religion, "identity," and whatever is PC at the moment, these facts were casually mentioned towards the end of the report if they were brought up at all.
