In its dash in the fast lane to embrace diversity, the city of Newark, New Jersey, drove into a pothole. On Jan. 12, Newark officials signed a “sister city” agreement with the United States of Kailasa that was going to support trade and other activities that would allow Newark to cite a connection with a Hindu nation. “I pray that our relationship helps us to understand cultural, social and political development and improves the lives of everybody in both places that helps us to understand where we are and who we are and our connectivity to one another and helps us to become better people in this process, better people individually

That’s the mayor talking. This involves a nonexistent city in a nonexistent city promote by a known rapist. The only really dumb neighbor my parents ever had was from Camden. And this is Cory Booker territory.

I recently finished a deeply scientific book by a British scientist. It is part anthropology, part physics and part sociology. The name of the book and the author is not relevant for this post. The subtext of his thinking is that Black people should never be allowed to have their fingers on the nuclear trigger. Odd, I finish the book, put it on the shelf, open my tablet to and, voila, first story is about Newark, New Jersey and a preventable foolish scam. I wish things like this did not happen.

"On Jan. 18, Newark quietly voided the sister city agreement, but it was not until early this month that word of the blunder reached the media." The MANY pukes in the MSM are most likely "coaching" the city to completely bury future embarrassments,

It's scary that the Mayor and everyone on his staff were not even curious about "Kailasa", though she was supposed to become a sister city. It's the dog that didn't bark in this case. Where are their brains?

Kinda like the fake sign language interpreter for the Nelson Mandela funeral. He was a great pretender and fooled lots of people. You know, adult people in the United States having a primary school education in world "cultural, social and political development" would have put them on alert to check Google. A class in world geography probably would have helped, too. But I be the mayor, et. al., have loads of self-esteem.

The Mayor of Newark and his bureaucrats didn't research the United States of Kailasa. Mayor Ras Baraka is supposed to have been an educator before he became a politician. His education must have been very deficient. IOWs how dumb must you be to not figure out the USK does not exist. So, bottom line, how much Newark taxpayer money was spent on this fiasco? This must be a Babylon Bee production, it's satire in real life.

Goldman was one of Los Tres Amigos conscripted from the DOJ who was enlisted by Mary McCord to run the public face of the House impeachment effort against President Trump. More recently sketchy Goldman attempted to run defense for the Mueller-Weissmann team during testimony about the Twitter files. {Go Deep}

A key COVID-19 vaccine case is moving to the discovery phase after a U.S. judge rejected a bid by Moderna to dismiss some of the patent infringement claims against it. Moderna and the U.S. government, which backed the company, failed to prove that claims involving the company’s COVID-19 vaccine contract with the government should be dismissed, U.S. District Judge Mitchell Goldberg ruled on March 10. Goldberg in late 2022 rejected a similar effort but Moderna revived its bid after the government filed a statement asserting it, not the company, should face the claims relating to the contract. The parties, though, have failed to prove that the government’s interpretation “trumps a court’s analysis

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman wrote Saturday that the federal government had about two days to fix the problem—by Monday morning. He noted that a number of depositors may not see their money because it wasn’t insured; the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) notes it insures $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank for each account.

Silicon Valley Bank, facing a sudden bank run and capital crisis, collapsed Friday morning and was taken over by federal regulators. It was the largest failure of a US bank since Washington Mutual in 2008. (Snip) Founded in 1983, SVB specialized in banking for tech startups. San Francisco residents lined up at a city board meeting last night to share their full-throated support of a wide-eyed reparations plan that would award every black resident $5million, wipe their personal debt, guarantee $97,000 incomes for 250 years and $1 homes. But no one at the emotional meeting - where residents burst into song and begged to be made 'whole' - asked how the struggling, debt-addled city might pay for it. Reparations are being considered in various Democratic cities around America as a means of providing compensation to the descendants of enslaved African-Americans.

After months of near-silence and innuendo, Florida Gov. and GOP presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis decided to speak about Ukraine, removing all doubt about his position. While his statement on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show makes a handful of valid points, it is ridden with a fundamental misunderstanding of the war and US geopolitical interests. First, the good. DeSantis is correct to criticize the Biden administration’s lack of clear objectives in its support for “as long as it takes,” which is a recipe for a long and intractable conflict — which Americans would be right to reject.

Some electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers are scrapping the AM radio from their cars, claiming safety concerns. Although conservative talk radio dominates AM radio ratings, it is also considered a critical safety tool, as it is one of the primary ways that federal, state, and local officials communicate with the public during natural disasters and other emergencies. Automakers such as Ford and Tesla have ditched the AM radio from their newer EV models, arguing that the motors on EVs interfere with AM frequencies, creating buzzing and signal fading, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
