Republicans hold a dour outlook on the country and prioritize finding a 2024 nominee who shares their views on major issues over one with a strong chance to defeat President Joe Biden, according to a new CNN poll of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents conducted by SSRS. The survey suggests sharp divisions within the potential GOP electorate by age, education, ideology and geography, as well as between Donald Trump backers locked into their choice and a more movable group in search of an alternative.
Just 30% of all Republicans and Republican-leaners say the country's best days are still ahead of it -- a dramatic shift from 2019, when Trump

Good. We should vote for people we like and stop listening to the msm who tells us who can win. The same people who said Hillary has a 99% chance of winning in 16.
I never understood why anyone votes for someone they don't actually like. The lesser evil is still evil. You get what you deserve when you vote for bad people.

CNN wouldn't know what a Republican thinks any more than they could know Adam's farthest off ox! CNN can only tell us that some diminished capacity Democrat thinks.

Only Joe Biden can save us, right CNN?
Either that or a RINO.
CNN is trying to tell us what to think. Don't listen to them.

That's because the GOP base has learned from its mistakes. We were told Dole could win McCain could win, Romney could win (and thankfully those 3 did not win). Listening to pundits like Rove or pollsters or most media is lazy and usually wrong. Think for yourself and stop believing that just because a candidate has the letter after their name makes them qualified or a good person.

Good grief. Would you take a CNN poll?
It would probably be just as reliable if they put some pajama boys in the basement and had them make up some numbers.
Maybe they did.

The word has gone out. Watch the drum beat of GOP bashing. Of course, the members of the Uniparty deserve it, but when CNN talks about it, then you know there is evil afoot.

I wouldn't trust a CNN poll if somebody else reported it. To have them distort their own push poll is a double offense against reality.

I'm in my late 60s, and doubt I'll ever see another Republican president in my lifetime. Republicans sat back and let the liberal education establishment indoctrinate two generations of students into liberalism and socialism. We're reaping the bitter harvest of that inaction. It will only get worse.

Demonstrating, yet again, the different cognitive outlook between the Left and the Right. The Right is focused on guiding principles; the Left is focused on the acquisition of power at any cost.

CNN? #crew the communist news network! They've been huge liars since they came on cable in the 80s. It's called the PRIMARIES folks. Whether choosing a presidential candidate, senator, or representative the primaries are where we SHOULD be taking out the trash. And yes, I mean RINOS!
The people "searching" for an alternate to conservatives like Trump are not too bright in my estimation. Why would I say something so abrasive? Because, if you don't choose the conservative in any given PRIMARY, you end up with what we have, and had, for a long time. A buncha democommies in cahoots with a buncha rinos, and a country on the verge of collapse. Then again, all this is a moot point until voting fraud is fixed, and I'm not seeing/hearing much going on in that area.

Trump or DeSantis - either one can beat Dementia Joe. Not for me to decide who - that should play out by the time the GOP National Convention rolls around.
Sadly the DemoRATS have perfected the art of cheating with ballot harvesting and other irregularities and the GOP has done squat about that - so it won't surprise me if Dementia Joe 'wins' again...
