A levee burst on the Pajaro River in Monterey County, California, on Friday, flooding the town of Pajaro and forcing evacuations as California endured another “atmospheric river” — with more rain and flooding to come. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the San Francisco Bay Area “[f]rom Monday evening through late Tuesday night” as yet another such “river” is on the way, with little break in between the storms.(Photo) The flooding, as captured in images and drone footage by the San Francisco Chronicle, highlights the unique vulnerability of the Santa Cruz mountains to this year’s flooding,

My sympathy is with the people who have been flooded. As a Californian I’m delighted this winter has been so wet. Other than those who have been tragically harmed by the floods the most unhappy people are the global warming hoaxers who now have to switch from their drought panic to flood panic, both weather phenomena brought to the globe by Homo Sapiens.

FTA: "This was meant to have been a third consecutive winter of drought, with La NiĂąa atmospheric conditions prevailing."...meant by Whom exactly??? Not Mama Gaia, Mother Nature, nor by ther nina's and nino's. The Levee breached in the same area in 1995, causing even worse flooding. In many (Most?) of the "Catastrophic flood" footage, the houses shown are on stilts...no mention is made of WHY houses in those areas houses/codes call for them to be ten feet or more above the ground. Perhaps it has something to do with what is considered "Normal" rainfalls there?

1. California Conservatives have come to Lucianne for decades. 2. They do not often get support, but are usually wished ill - earthquakes, etc. - as though some here believe they should be punished because there are more registered Democrat voters in California who currently prevail. That was not always so. Most here don’t know that for long years California was a Republican state. 3. Having been at LCom since 2001, I have never seen a known Californian be anything but supportive of our fellow states when they were in trouble. Why this divisive attitude? The “bad” Californians will never see the jibes. They simply dishearten California Conservatives who are here with you.

Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good... So far this year we are tending towards upper normal range of rainfall. The timing has been bad because the ground has been kept saturated. All the rain that falls now immediately swells the rivers. When summer comes we'll be back to complaining about heat waves and wildfires. In 1890 there was the highest rainfall in modern records and it went from coast to coast laying waste along the way. We got 125 inches in our little area. 108 inches 40 years ago. We're sitting just above 60 inches right now. This mountain man ain't leavin' his home. Sure ain't goin' to Chicago!

After the White House announced a new executive order focused on the president's "plan to reduce gun violence" on Tuesday, Biden addressed his latest fiat from Monterey Park, California. As usual, Biden's remarks had, at best, a tenuous connection to truth and reality.Pledging that his latest executive order dealing with firearms will "accelerate and intensify" his administration's supposed crackdown on illegal firearms, Biden said his order would keep firearms out of the hands of criminals by taking "every lawful action possible to move us as close as we can to universal background checks."

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News last week that Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration has been “fighting” against transparency “every step of the way” with GOP investigators probing the president’s family business dealings. McCarthy’s interview, taped on Wednesday in the ceremonial U.S. House Speaker’s office, came before the Treasury Department finally, after weeks, relented and agreed to provide the many Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) on Biden family members’ bank transactions. McCarthy sat for the hourlong interview as part of the long form Breitbart News exclusive On The Hill video series.

President Biden has made many false claims throughout his decades-long political career, including one about being "arrested" when he was 21 years old for sitting in the Senate presiding officer's chair illegally, which he would contradict two years later. A 2007 interview Biden gave with comedian David Letterman is circulating on social media after being reposted in the wake of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson’s publication of Capitol footage from the Jan. 6 riots. In the interview, Letterman asked the Delaware Democratic senator what it was like walking into the Senate chamber in his 20s.
