Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) staff attorney Thomas Jurgens was among the dozen of rioters arrested following a violent attack on police at the proposed site of the Atlanta Police Foundation’s training facility, located a few miles south of the city. Jurgens previously served as a legal intern in Dekalb County’s public defender office and as an assistant public defender for the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, according to his LinkedIn profile. A family member of Jurgens confirmed with a local journalist that the lawyer had been charged with domestic terrorism following the violence. Arrest them make him do hard labor for 8 hours a day at minimum wage. Keep them locked up until all damages are paid for. We would no longer need illegals to do the work that the spoiled brats think are beneath them.

The REAL violent fascists are those folks who keep warning us about all those "violent right wing crazies".....when there is no right wing violence, only the antifa "antifascists" who are actually violent street thugs....just like the real fascists of Mussolini's black shirts----- and interestingly these "anti fascists" love their black clothing just like the Italian fascists did.

Full disclosure...one of my best friends is a lawyer, a corporate lawyer. That said, in the US we have a plague of attorneys. Worse than the biblical swarms of locusts. We have more per capita than any country on the planet. Most can’t get by writing wills, handling adoptions, divorces, etc. With so many it’s hard to make it with mundane legal work so we have the ambulance chasers on every corner. Were you at Camp Lejeune? I have seen millions of dollars worth of commercials saying that I may be eligible for “significant compensation”. Then the back-to-back ads on local TV news trolling for clients and implying that they can get you “massive” awards. I never liked Chief Justice Earl Warren but he said many years ago that allowing lawyers to advertise to injured (or those faking it) would result in a blow to the reputation of the legal profession. Look at DC with its zillions of attorneys doing government work or lobbying. A big reason for our dysfunctional government.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Tuesday formally disavowed the controversial Florida bill that would require compensated bloggers who write about the governor or members of his cabinet to register with the state, stating clearly that he does not support it. The bill in question — Florida Sen. Jason Brodeur’s SB 1316: Information Dissemination — would require compensated bloggers writing about a member of the Legislature, the Office of Legislative Services, or a member of the executive branch to register with the “appropriate office,” whether that be the Office of Legislative Services or the Commission on Ethics. Notably, the legislation does not apply to members of the mainstream media.

Tucker Carlson is not wilting in the face of Democrats losing their mind over his Jan. 6 video coverage. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer even tried to go after him, by calling on Rupert Murdoch to stop the Jan. 6 coverage. Can we say panicked? It sure looks like it. But it doesn’t look like Murdoch or Carlson are folding on the issue. Carlson was back with more coverage on Tuesday evening and not only wasn’t he stopping, but he was also laughing at the panic of the Democrats and the media who were losing total control of the narrative. “What you’re hearing is panic and fear,”

Corporate America has fomented a culture that's so drunk on environmental, social and governance standards that a CEO stating the obvious on CNBC about the ongoing necessity of oil and gas actually seems profound. Hess Corporation CEO John Hess wasted no time in pointing out that “oil and gas are going to be needed for decades to come” during the Mar. 7 edition of CNBC’s Squawk Box. Hess even stated that “oil and gas are key” in order to achieve an “affordable, just and secure” energy “transition." Talk about irony. Hess noted that “most people don’t realize that oil and gas are a strategic industry for the United States.”

“Where’s Pete Buttigieg?” someone shouted at a February 15 town hall meeting in East Palestine, Ohio. “I don’t know,” Mayor Trent Conaway replied. Twelve days earlier, a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous chemicals had derailed near the town. Three days later, the company announced it was going to carry out a controlled burn of vinyl chloride that would send dangerous gasses into the air, forcing many of East Palestine’s 4,700 residents to evacuate. They returned after receiving assurances that the air and water were safe, but a strong chemical odor clung to the town, and many continued to complain of headaches, nausea, and burning throats. And so

Certain titles from the Goosebumps anthology, second only to the Harry Potter books in terms of popularity, have been re-released as sanitized e-books by Scholastic, a new report from The Times has revealed. The move comes after huge controversy enveloped the British publisher of Roald Dahl’s books for hundreds of similar changes, leading the publisher to agree to continue printing the original versions alongside the new bowdlerized editions. While The Times originally claimed Stine, 79, had agreed to the changes, the author denied

When Florida legislators kick off their 2023 legislative session Tuesday, expect a number of bills that will be red meat for the majority's Republican base. Among them are major proposals to expand gun rights, further restrict diversity efforts at public universities and expand the ability to sue media outlets for defamation — all measures that shed light on the direction of a prospective presidential bid by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. With a GOP supermajority holding power across both chambers in Tallahassee, DeSantis will face little meaningful resistance in shaping the state’s politics as he sees fit, politics watchers in the state said, as he continues

President Joe Biden is considering detaining families for a maximum of 20 days, the New York Times reported. "If the totality of the data were to indicate that faster tightening is warranted, we would be prepared to increase the pace of rate hikes." Tucker Carlson released some of the promised Jan. 6 video footage on Monday and it dealt with a variety of subjects that he said showed that we hadn’t been told the truth about what had happened on that day. The first video and contradiction concerned the people at the Capitol. While there were people who were hooligans who broke in, the majority didn’t according to Carlson, coming in after the doors were opened and didn’t do destructive things inside the Capitol, walking peacefully like tourists through the building. Carlson pointed to the “QAnon Shaman” — Jacob Chansley, who got four years for his involvement in the events on Jan. 6.

Adams said the move would help cops “use the technology we have available to identify those shoplifters and those who are committing serious crimes.”
