A group of Donald Trump supporters were booted from a Ron DeSantis book signing event after he allegedly ordered security to kick out fans of the former president.
The Florida governor was at a Books-a-Million store in Leesburg, Florida, on Tuesday, when Trump supporters attempted to take part in the event.
The group, however, was not allowed in, with video of the incident showing a security telling them: 'They told me to say anyone wearing Trump has to go right now.'
The group then boos at the order, calling DeSantis out for not supporting 'free speech'

Huge flags and signs. They were there to make a scene. A book signing is a commercial event meant to sell books. It is not a political rally. They were acting like Democrats.

This really stinks like a staged dirty trick. What would be gained by Trump supporters disrupting such an event? Nothing. But Trump would lose a lot of support if the public thought it happened. Accept nothing at face value.

Is this made up? It would be the first bad move DeSantis has made in this potential rivalry. Something is being left out, spun some way, like maybe some people were being disruptive or something and that got left out by people who want to create strife in the GOP.

The Republicans eat their own. Giving the Democrats what they want. Never learn.

I'm betting the cop was off-duty, hired by the bookstore for event security, and that it was their instructions, NOT from the Governor's staff, that potential protestors/disruptors be removed.
The Governor would have a protective detail from the State Police.

Actions like this do not speak well for Trump supporters. If he's smart, he'll disavow them today.

8, who says these are Trump supporters and not more plants from the fbi or the left?
And I'm so sick n tired of everyone demanding Trump publicly disavow every random idiot. Do you demand the left disavow their millions of idiots?

Keep it up, guys, and you’ll guarantee another Democrat rat wins in 2024. We need to realize the enemies are the Democrats…not each other.

#9 - in which case no harm if he does disavow them. Which he should. I support Trump, but DeSantis is not the enemy. If not Trump, then DeS is my choice. These clowns were aiming for disruption, plants or not.

No, fake news. DeSantis would never kick anyone out simply for supporting an opponent. What I think happened is some fake Trump supporters created this nasty problem (assuming the report is even true) to get at RDS. No, it won't work.

Interesting how the DeSantis supporters are the first to urge Trump to disavow these people. #9, is correct. Who calls for democrats to disavow the vicious circus of radicals who disrupt an event?
I know you all love DeSantis, but he has not won me over. His appearance on Jesse Watters last night certainly did one thing, it confirmed he is running. His horn tooting was front and center. How is doing this an ago trip when Trump points out his successes, but when DeSantis does it, it is just speaking the truth. I find it very curious that Republicans are willing to abandon the guy who did more for this country than any President in my lifetime. The left has thrown everything at him and he is still the leading candidate on the right. So, yeah, let’s challenge that guy! The Republican establishment will do anything to get rid of him and his America First agenda. Expect more of this kind of thing in the future. Their only strategy is to make Trump look as bad as they can because they cannot fault the policies that made him such a success. It’s going to get very personal because that is all the dems and GOPe have. Go ahead. Do your best. Trust and a proven record is going to be the determining factor. And a base that is fiercely loyal.

The media is doing their best to create a bitter rivalry between Trump and De Santis. They may hate Trump right now but that vitriol will immediately be transferred to De Santis should he become the GOP nominee in 2024. Translation: The media is much more afraid of Trump than they are of De Santis.

What #1 said. They were plants, and De Santis called them out. And it follows that whoever covered this event and didn't "notice" that is either stupid or malevolent and hoping to help make the dirty trick work. Sorry Daily Mail.

Governor DeSantis is as much a part of the establishment as McConnell. His Harvard, Yale and judicial Navy time set up his future to be a part of the Washington swamp. Trump has been an unapologetic MAGA supporter from the very start of his short political career. The Florida CEO cannot be trusted, especially because the rhino establishment is supporting him.

#1, it has the feel of what happened on J6. Please, Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump, keep this professional. If there is any confusion about what is going on, think about the fact that you are applying for a job and are serving the American people. I don't know about you but I am one of those Americans getting really frustrated with the division in this country.

If this is true, it is a really dumb move. If DeSanctimonious wants to run for the 2024 presidency this is no way to encourage voters from the Trump train to join his campaign. I think DeSantis is fine, but he has plenty of years to consider the presidency. My vote is still with DJT.

As I checked the articles and pictures, this is way beyond simply wearing a MAGA hat or t-shirt. Who goes to a book-signing carrying flags and placards?

Ron DeSantis has nothing to gain by running in 2024, and everything to lose for the future.
DeSantis is attractive and conservative, with the definite air of a winner -- which the GOP will need in 2028 and 2032!!! Like it or not, Donald Trump will be the Republican presidential candidate in 2024. There are just way too many of us that voted for him in 2020 and will vote for him again this time because we believe in him. If DeSantis loses in the primaries, he will have the "loser" stain on his image, which will hurt him in 2028 when we really need him to be a proven winner!!!
At this point, it is about playing the "long game" to try to save our republic.
