After failing to orchestrate a federal takeover of state election administration two years ago, Democrats are back with their newest strategy to seize control of America’s electoral process. In blue state legislatures, leftists are working to advance election bills that seek to dramatically overhaul state elections by enshrining Democrat-backed voting practices into law. The widespread effort is an attempt to implement national Democrats’ HR 1 policies in states across the country

Republicans need to take these laws, if passed, to the SCOTUS and hopefully they will be declared unconstitutional, I'm not holding my breath.

Frankly, I am afraid that Dims will never rest until WE utilize the same schemes and beat them at their own game. Exposure to the light of day, such as 2000 Mules, hasn't worked and the lower courts refuse to help. We seem to have no alternative.

From where do they claim authority to do this? I don't believe We The People have been clamoring for this. Quite the opposite, actually.

I hope one day the term "Democrat" will be akin to the terms "communist" and "nazi." In the 1950s communists like Gus Hall and nazis like George Lincoln Rockwell were viewed with fear and loathing. Television programs like "I Led Three Lives," about a counter espionage agent Herb Philbrick, showed the insidious plots of Soviet Union agents to undermine our country. Fast forward to today, not hard to see which party is working insidiously to undermine our country.

This is more of the same thing we have been seeing for years. The Dems come up with a scheme to win elections that violates the law, and by the time it winds it way to the Supreme Court, several elections have been won by them. When the court finally rules against them, they launch the next unconstitutional scheme. Repeat as needed. SSDD.

The White House announced on Monday that it was giving federal agencies 30 days to remove TikTok from all government-issued devices. Monday's move arrives as the popular Chinese-owned social media app faces increased scrutiny in Washington and in states across the country over security concerns – with critics claiming that the Chinese government could use TikTok to gain access to private user data or spread misinformation. TikTok is already not allowed on White House devices – and some other federal agencies, including the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security, also have similar restrictions in place.

You read that correctly, a senior newsman is now against objectivity. His January 30 piece launches as follows:  “…Increasingly, reporters, editors, and media critics argue that the concept of journalistic objectivity is a distortion of reality.

The irresistible force is mail-in ballots, nonexistent signature verification, phantom voter rolls, a feckless Republican Party, Republican governors donating tax money to a George Soros–funded entity to clean voter rolls — election commissions changing ZIP codes so mail-in ballots stack up — courts refusing to remove dead people from voter rolls unless they miss two consecutive elections, and a Republican presidential candidate who thinks he can win with ballot-harvesting. What could go wrong in 2024?

I guess all that “culture” (human feces and heroin needles) and “excitement” (rampant crime) of life in a big city is getting a little old for Michael Moritz, a partner at Sequoia Capital. But, don’t you smug conservatives get any ideas, these blights aren’t a byproduct of Democrat ideas — San Francisco is merely “held hostage” by “political classes.” In an essay published by The New York Times today, Moritz acknowledged the city was indeed “crippled” by “homeless encampments” and “drug addicts” before he blamed conservatives for rubbing Democrat noses in the mess. Moritz opened his piece with this:

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warned on Sunday that potential 2024 GOP presidential contenders who have called for the U.S. to pull back its support for Ukraine in its war with Russia should be careful with their words. During an appearance on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” moderator Margaret Brennan asked Rice about recent remarks from former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) criticizing the U.S. for its robust support for Kyiv.

Tens of thousands of people filled Mexico City’s vast main plaza Sunday to protest President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s electoral law changes they say threaten democracy and could mark a return to the past. The plaza is normally thought to hold nearly 100,000 people, but many protesters who couldn’t fit in the square spilled onto nearby streets. The marchers were clad mostly in white and pink — the color of the National Electoral Institute — and shouted slogans like “Don’t Touch my Vote!” Like a similar but somewhat larger march on Nov. 13, the marchers appeared somewhat more affluent than those at the average demonstration.

We know that the left is always looking for an opportunity to silence those who challenge their groupthink. Their target isn't only conservatives, but anybody who disagrees with their worldview even in the slightest possible way. They left lives in the hope that contrarians to their groupthink will either misspeak or express a nuanced and detailed idea that can be extracted, stripped of context, and made to appear bigoted. This gives them reason to mount a social media campaign and initiate cancelation.

Next week is the mayoral election in Chicago, and things are actually looking up a bit in my long-ago home town. Chicago has non-partisan elections for aldermen and mayor — which is good, because there are so many chumbolones: dim-witted Chicagoans who will vote for any Democrat, no matter how bad, like Soros-backed prosecutor Kim Foxx. The non-partisan races tend to break down by race, among white, black, and Hispanic candidates all scrambling to make the run-off. Last time, two black mayoral contenders made the run-off — the corrupt machine boss, Toni

A proposed Oregon bill would provide the deep blue state’s homeless population $1,000 per month that recipients could use at their own discretion. The bill, introduced last month, would establish a People’s Housing Assistance Fund Demonstration Program to give 12 monthly thousand-dollar payments to those suffering from homelessness or who are on the brink of becoming homeless. “Payments may be used for rent, emergency expenses, food, child care or other goods or services of the participant’s choosing,” the bill states. People who spend more than 50 percent of their monthly household income on rent, and those who earn 60% or less of the area median income would also be eligible for the funding.

As RedState reported on Tuesday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot lost her reelection, and not by a little. According to the polls, she was something of an afterthought, falling well behind Paul Vallas and runner-up Brandon Johnson who got 33.77 and 20.29 percent of the vote respectively. Lightfoot limped into third with 17 percent of the vote. Naturally, like any good radical leftist, Lightfoot took no personal responsibility for her loss, choosing to blame it instead on others. She won’t be doing any dancing tonight. Chicago Democrat Lori Lightfoot on Tuesday became the Windy City’s first incumbent mayor in 40 years to lose re-election as rising crime in the city steered voters away from the embattled leader. Receiving only 16.4% of the vote, Lightfoot, 60, finished behind former head of Chicago Public Schools Paul Vallas and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson in Tuesday’s race. Vallas, who took 35% of the vote, and Johnson, who obtained 20.2% of the vote, will head to an April 4 runoff election to determine who will be the city’s next mayor.

Here’s today’s edition of Democrats and their free money. On Tuesday the Supreme Court will hear a pair of challenges to Joe Biden’s proposed student loan debt handout. Biden announced the plan before the 2018 election in order to fool the youths to vote for Democrats. Biden claimed he has the authority to wipe student loan payments under a law known as the Higher Education Relief Opportunities for Students (HEROES) Act, which initially intended to benefit service members deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq by waiving their student loan debt. Biden applied it to all students regardless of their contributions to the US military.
