Ian Fleming’s original James Bond novels have been “rewritten” to remove racist remarks ahead of a coming re-release, The Telegraph has reported. Ahead of a coming re-release to mark the 70th anniversary since the release of Ian Fleming’s Casino Royale novel, the first in the James Bond series, the publication reports that the works have been “rewritten” to appease woke sensibilities. The revelation comes after a week of controversy surrounding recent reprints of Roald Dahl’s books, with it being revealed that the works of fiction have been edited in order to change or remove language deemed problematic.

Bet they really hated To Live and Let Die with all its black villains and the way blacks were portrayed in general. The black gangsta/dictator Katanga. The black one armed enforcer. The black voodoo priest and all the voodoo scenes. The times are a'changin but not for the better. It's all entitlement and preferential treatment. A virtual paradise for all the dumb dishonest people out there. Wait until it all implodes.

At least when they cut all the movies and shows to pieces twenty years ago, they were smart enough not to tell us. We just looked up and saw twenty seven minute old shows sitting at eighteen minutes for "more ads" they told us. By the time every offended woker gets to decide content there isn't very much left.

I wish these people would grow up. I love the fact that moron's on some committee think that they know bitter much less that they can improve popular or on the classic literature. None of the words they they decide are "problematic" could possibly "hurt" anyone. Reading a story in the context of the time it was written gives us a glimpse into that era, good or bad. Are these people too stupid to understand that anyone who is reading a Bond novel is probably of an age to handle it? I have never really liked the trend since the '60's of using the "F" word so generously but it's my choice to either ignore it or throw the book in the garbage.

Why stop there? If the United States deported all blacks to Africa, then it could be said that slavery never existed. You liberal snowflake weenies think that if the country did away with some things that will fix the past. You need to remember that the past is there to be learned from so as not to repeat the same mistakes our forebears did. By eliminating something it doesn't change the past.

Okay, I have to confess that Matt Yglesias definitely didn’t say what my headline does exactly. The word snowflake does not appear in his latest essay but I do think that’s a close approximation of his actual argument. And here I want to say that, while I may appear to be mocking it a bit, his piece is actually really good and worth reading. I’m not writing about it because I think it’s outrageous or wrong. I’m writing about it because I think it’s insightful and probably right. So there backdrop for this is the discussion that has been bouncing around lately about why teenagers, especially teen girls, are so depressed.

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis explained why he went to war with the Disney corporation in a Wall Street Journal op-ed late Tuesday. The governor signed legislation revoking Disney’s special privileges and self-governing status established under the 1967 Reedy Creek Improvement Act. The new legislation, HB 9-B, established a new-state controlled district, a five-member state control board and requires the corporation to pay taxes to the state. DeSantis wrote in the op-ed that Disney’s special status is an “indefensible example of corporate welfare” that allowed the corporation to violate state fire safety codes and use eminent domain on private property outside of its district.

During a Tuesday Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to take responsibility for the Department of Justice’s failure to prosecute protesters who regularly demonstrate outside the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices, arguing that the federal marshals on the ground have the discretion to arrest the protesters and have chosen not to. In his first appearance before the 118th Congress, Garland was grilled by Republican senators about the Department of Justice’s failure to enforce a federal law that prohibits protests outside the homes of judges and jurors, who might be intimidated into changing their thinking on pending cases in response to such displays.

Russia has lost a large-scale tank battle for Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast, getting ambushed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine — just as it did during the attack when using tank convoys at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Source: The New York Time Quote: "In the extended battle, both sides sent tanks into the fray, rumbling over dirt roads and manoeuvring around tree lines, with the Russians thrusting forward in columns and the Ukrainians manoeuvring defensively, firing from a distance or from hideouts as Russian convoys came into their sights. When it was over, not only had Russia failed to capture Vuhledar, but it also had made the same mistake

A multi-year U.S. intelligence review has deemed it "very unlikely" that a foreign adversary is behind the mysterious neurological symptoms known as "Havana Syndrome" that have been reported by more than a thousand American officials since 2016, eliminating a leading theory shared by some victims and lawmakers that U.S. personnel were being targeted by a hostile government. The unclassified assessment, released Wednesday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), reflected the views of seven agencies that participated in the inquiry. "Most [intelligence community] agencies have concluded that it is 'very unlikely' a foreign adversary is responsible for the reported AHIs,"

The non-partisan government watchdog found that the U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI properly identified credible threats to the Capitol in the lead-up to the January 6 protest that turned into a riot but did not share information about those threats. There were 10 federal agencies responsible for protecting the Capitol that day and none of them fully processed or shared critical information about threats to the Capitol with each other. These threats included those of militia groups who were arming themselves in preparation for that day. The report specifically points to the FBI
