Ultra-Wealthy Flee the Big Apple as High

On Monday, I wrote an article regarding Ron DeSantis’ epic dunk on New York City Eric Adams’ attempts to shame the Florida governor over his policies. A Twitter user clapped back: (Tweet) The problem with this kind of misguided thinking is that it ignores an obvious point: New Yorkers have been fleeing the city in droves since the start of the pandemic, and many of them are multi-millionaires or billionaires who pay most of the taxes that keep the Big Apple running. Daily Mail reports on the exodus of residents (and money):

All you NYC dwellers and coastal Californians - You will hate the giant cockroaches in Florida. They are not scared like NY roaches. They crawl all over you while you are sleeping. And when you wake up they don't run very fast. They just stroll away. The Floridians call them "Palmetto Bugs" but they are GIANT Cockroaches. And coastal liberals, don't forget the lizards that fall on you from trees on cold days. And thirteen foot gators that come for your dog or cat but will be happy to take you instead. And Hurricanes. Even if it misses your place, the tornadoes that come after might get you. Or the floods. Or you may end up sweltering in the fall heat and oppressive humidity for days without power, covered with palmetto bugs and hunted by venomous snakes, displaced alligators, possibly huge boa constrictors or pythons. And don't forget panthers. And by the way, the folks in eastern California are just as bad as the Florida rednecks and we also have poisonous snakes, mountain lions and oppressive heat. Not like you folks where the temperature is always between 60 and 80 and you rarely need heat or air conditioning.

And if you want to have a nice lawn you better be prepared to hire a service because you will not win against the bugs , weeds and diseases that can destroy your lawn overnite. Kennedy let the audience know on Thursday that he had a few things to say about the truth. Without the truth, he said, we certainly not thrive as human beings.
