Libertyville, Ill. — Lake County deputies are looking for two men they said stole a car Thursday afternoon from a driveway with a two-year-old boy inside and ran over his pregnant mother. (Snip) She took one of her kids inside and when she came back out to get her son, a man tried to get in her car. Deputies said the man got in the car with the child still inside and left the area with another man driving a white BMW. As the men drove away, one of them ran over the boy’s mother, who is six-months pregnant, and left her with serious injuries.

What do you wanna bet that the Dim Machine votes their ballots for them? Maybe if we let felons vote the dims will allow prosecutions to continue against criminals. A ballot from someone with a felony conviction is just too easy to cross check; fraud needs something more ambiguous, like “that could be joe brown’s signature; maybe that’s just how he signed that day; who can say?” But a felony conviction can’t be argued.

This is horrible. Libertyville is a beautiful upscale rural area where something like this was unheard of just a few years ago. I can't even imagine the horror that Mom went through when she realized her little boy was involved, only to be run over by the scum. Now let's see what price they'll pay. Our car was stolen three weeks ago. Just as the insurance company was going to total it, it was recovered. We're in the western suburbs of Chicago and the car was found in Cicero. The police were responding to a "shots fired" call and the car had four adults in it. In an attempt to get away, they ran it into a building and the four were arrested. The car is a mess, damage everywhere. Bullet casings and syringes were all over the floor of the car and our stuff was gone. Insurance will make us whole again and none of us were hurt. What is most upsetting is that the four who were arrested were only charged with " Criminal trespass to a vehicle" a Class A misdemeanor, because they all denied actually stealing the car. I wonder how the car-jackers who ran over the mom in the article above got so emboldened?

This is rather shocking. I grew up in Libertyville and our house was maybe a quarter mile east of this house where the car and kids were taken. When I was a kid, Libertyville was a fine place to live. Youth sports were plentiful, and the schools were top rate. It was truly the Wally and Beave days. Nice houses and everybody drove a muscle car. Today, Libertyville is choked with traffic and way too much growth. The societal rot is prevalent and in northern Illinois as a whole. Gimmedat blacks from Waukegan come waltzing through town to look for things to steal. My folks are buried in the local cemetery and the only reason my wife and I go back there is to plant flowers at their grave site every spring.

Shea Sanna, who had been the lead prosecutor for part of the case, is accused of misgendering and "deadnaming" the convicted child molester Hannah Tubbs, who is now accused of beating a man to death in the woods with a rock in Kern County. Paxton — When a wind turbine collapsed last Thursday east of Paxton, a substantial amount of oil spilled from the turbine hub into the ground. (Snip) Whitebird has been on site and said a crew is ready to begin dismantling the turbine but has to wait until the area dries out from Wednesday’s rains. “Those things house hundreds of gallons of oil,” Whitebird said. “At this point there’s no definite amount of how much was spilled,” and that information won’t be available until the hub is dismantled. As a result, it is no known if the spillage would pose an environmental problem. “I know the IEPA has been out there,” Whitebird said.

State Sen. Chapin Rose, R-Mahomet, recently received rare statewide publicity when he tweaked the noses of Gov. J.B. Pritzker and his big-city supporters. In a tongue-in-cheek protest, he introduced the “If This Is Such a Good Idea, Let’s Start With You” Act. “The City of Chicago must convert Millennium Park into a solar-energy park by building solar-energy facilities on all open space and mounting solar-energy facilities on structures,” the bill states. The legislation also would require municipal officials in the Windy City to “place multiple wind-energy facilities in each public park.” What’s this about? A political double-cross, and a political disconnect.

The Illinois Department of Human Services is preparing to move 658 recent migrant arrivals into a former Kmart in Chicago for temporary shelter, WTTW News has learned. The 100,000-square-foot store has sat vacant at the corner of 71st Street and Pulaski Road on the city’s Southwest Side since 2016. Sources said the migrants — mostly asylum seekers — will be relocated from the suburbs, where they are currently staying at hotels. According to documents WTTW News obtained, the site was selected because of its nearby resources and because it is in a welcoming neighborhood. But some local officials are not yet ready to roll out the welcome mat.
