House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s decision to hand over thousands of hours of unseen video from the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, to Fox News host Tucker Carlson has sparked criticism from seemingly panicked Democrats, but according to the California lawmaker, he’s just making good on a promise he made to the American people.
“I promised,” he told The New York Times during a brief phone interview on Wednesday. “I was asked in the press about these tapes, and I said they do belong to the American public. I think sunshine lets everybody make their own judgment.”

Ok, then, Mr. Speaker but so when will the J6 political prisoners who continue to waste away in the DC jails while being beaten merclessly by the black jail guards be released? We are still waiting for an answer, sir.

For an event that lasted approximately 6 hours, That works out to over 7300 different cameras.

There were thousands of people taking photos and videos of mini-interactions. Many of those were likely confiscated at the time or subsequently subpoenaed by DOJ prosecutors. Presumably, they account for the bulk of the 41,000 hours.

I've watched some clips (a twitter thread of DC Metropolitan Police and Capitol Police body cams) posted on an aggregate news site (CFP) and saw why the leftists are so upset. Shows conduct by these officers which is definitely NOT in the best interest of the narrative pushed by the swamp rats.

What I have seen of McCarthy, I like. I don’t know why he does what he does. I don’t care if he does it for selfish reasons. I am going to call him a name because of what I learned about a certain animal. I learned that when a boar senses danger, he strikes without warning. So I will call McCarthy a Boar. Best Of All Republican(speakers)

Time to subpoena Nancy and ask her why she turned down help from the National Guard. If she does not appear, show up at her place at 2 am and drag her in front of Congress.

#4, you should also add. unfortunately Mr. Speaker doesn't control the president nor doj, Susan Rice, Obama, Valerie Jarrett. Biden's administration is like the three stooges. The real puppet masters are the ones I mentioned. What they want to do is TEACH the people a lesson. What is really being done you can find in countries like China and Russia. Something needs to be done for those people NOW.

I like McCarthy better than I thought I would but I give a lot of credit to Gaetz and the other Republican House members who won some important rules changes and put their leadership in their place. McCarthy so far is doing what he said he would do. Kudos.

REMEMBER that President Trump endorsed Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the U.S. House! Do some internal thinking and it taking fifteen votes with public concessions to approve McCarthy! REPLY 6, I agree with your BOAR comment! We, the American people, MUST keep the pressure on those responsible for the January 6th crimes against America!

I am with those who are giving McCarthy a break. Time to work his (and our) way through the Dem morass. We are just laptop second guessers/spectators. We are not in the arena. Teddy Roosevelt’s great lins come to mind:
“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
Words I have tried to live by. I’ve been in the arena. That is when a colleague gave me a framed version of this for my office wall. That was 50 years ago.

Well, very few politicians do things because they promised to do them. This is a good thing.
All the footage should be available to anyone, online.
And FREE the political prisoners.
