Former President Donald Trump will gather some of his top donors at his Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida Thursday evening for his super PAC’s first fundraiser — an event that organizers are billing as an intimate candlelight dinner. Four miles down South Ocean Boulevard and a day later, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Trump’s lead potential rival for the Republican nomination, will host his own contributors for a three-day-long retreat at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. The dueling events — along with a Friday donor conference in Austin, Texas organized by former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove and featuring a handful of other prospective Republican presidential candidates —

Both candidates should refrain from smearing each other, lest we end up with Brandon for another 4 years. Instead, concentrate on the main issues. #1 Start weeding out the FBI, DOJ, CIA, Capitol police, EPA, DOE, and start the removal process of the corrupt political establishment. The evidence is there, start prosecuting. #2 Call out the MSM media's roll in the coup of 2020. Again the evidence is there, start prosecuting. At least one of the candidates is for a Convention of States to force term limits, which would be a great start!

In last year's Pennsylvania primaries, the Democrat party funded TV ads for Doug Mastriano, the Republican candidate that Josh Shapiro blew out of the water in the general. I expect Democrats to do the same this year for Donald Trump.

I’m shocked and disappointed that President Trump is soliciting money from big money donors who undoubtedly expect favors if their presidential choice prevails. I’ve been told repeatedly that Ron DeSantis is not to be trusted since he has been raising money from millionaires and billionaires. Shall I now distrust Trump for doing the same? Of course not. All realistic people know full well that big money is the grease that can put candidates over the top. Trump is no different from DeSantis, Pence, Haley or any of the rest and good for him for playing the game as he must.

Astronomers have used the James Webb Space Telescope to peer back in time to the early days of the universe — and they spotted something unexpected. The space observatory revealed six massive galaxies that existed between 500 million and 700 million years after the big bang that created the universe. The discovery is completely upending existing theories about the origins of galaxies, according to a new study published Wednesday in the journal Nature.“These objects are way more massive than anyone expected,” said study coauthor Joel Leja, assistant professor of astronomy and astrophysics at Penn State University, in a statement. “We expected only to find tiny, young, baby galaxies

Pete Buttigieg finally went to East Palestine on Thursday, and as expected, he thoroughly embarrassed himself. While reporters were asking valid questions about the performance of the Biden administration, the failed transportation secretary used them to launch ridiculous partisan attacks on people who haven’t been in power for years. Here’s one such example, but there have been others over the weeks, with Buttigieg repeatedly citing supposed deregulation as a cause of the devastating derailment. I don’t know about you, but watching this absolute mediocrity of a public official smugly make his way through a press conference, appearing to be holding back laughter at times
Florida's "reverse woke" detransition

Florida continues on its quest to establish itself as “the state where woke goes to die.” The latest chapter in this story involves a new bill introduced in the state legislature known as the “Reverse Woke Act.” If passed, the proposed law would require any employer that covers “gender transition” services to also pay for detransition medical care, even if the employee had the original procedure done in another state. It would also apply if the patient is no longer with the company. The bill is seen as a shot across the bow toward states like California that bill themselves as “sanctuary” states for transgender people seeking medical services

The operators of the Norfolk Southern train involved in a toxic derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, earlier this month received a "critical audible alarm message instructing the crew to slow and stop the train to inspect a hot axle," according to a newly released National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) report Thursday. The preliminary report said after hearing the warning from the hot bearing detector on Train 32N, the train’s engineer "increased the dynamic brake application to further slow and stop the train." "The function of the HBD is to detect overheated bearings and provide audible real-time warnings to train crews," the report said.

The U.S. is preparing to send 100 to 200 troops to Taiwan for training amid rising tensions with China, a U.S. official familiar with the planning confirmed to Fox News on Thursday. This number will expand a much smaller training program which has included the National Guard, Special Ops, and U.S. Marines in the past. The Michigan National Guard will also train a contingent of the Taiwanese Army, including some training as part of larger exercises, on U.S. soil. The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the news, cited U.S. officials as saying only around 30 American troops were stationed in Taiwan about a year ago.

CNN first reported the existence of the selfie. The balloon was first spotted by the US on January 28 and ultimately shot down by the US military off the coast of South Carolina after crossing the country.

Why the 2020 Election was Unverifiable 34 replies

Joe Biden acquired his job through a legal process. However, he did not earn enough verifiable votes to justify the certifications in six key swing states. This issue is addressed in my new book, but here is some of my reasoning. I have limited myself to one example of unverifiable votes for each of those swing states. Arizona At an Arizona Senate Committee hearing on January 24, 2022, we learned that precisely 95 percent of Maricopa County overseas military members (and their families) voted for Joe Biden. That is an amazing (as in phony) percentage, given that the overall county-wide vote was fairly even between Biden and Trump (51 to 49%).

The proposal asks the House and Senate Sergeant at Arms and the U.S. Capitol Police to take "such actions as may be necessary" to keep Trump from entering the halls of Congress forever.

The U.S. is expected to quadruple the number of U.S. forces deployed to Taiwan in the coming months as tensions with Beijing continue to simmer. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that the Pentagon plans to deploy between 100 and 200 troops to the self-ruled island, up from around 30 a year ago.  Servicemembers from the Marines and the special forces have been sent to Taiwan in the past and the number has fluctuated over the years. But NPR announces the layoff of 100 people, and it is a “major loss.” Um… okay. National Public Radio will reduce its workforce by 10%, which means the termination of around 100 people. Positions that are currently vacant will be eliminated. The outlet reported that CEO John Lansing is attributing the move to a lack of advertising dollars, specifically in terms of its podcasts. NPR has an annual budget of $300 million and its revenues could be short $30 million to $32 million.
