UK Counter-Terrorism Program Flags Shakespeare
and ‘1984’ for ‘Encouraging Far-Right Sympathies’

The UK’s Prevent program, which is supposed to be protecting the Sceptered Isle from terrorism, recently came under fire for treating actual Islamic terrorism as if it were a mental illness. But that doesn’t mean that Prevent has been wanting for terrorists: like its counterparts in the FBI, it has kept busy looking for “far-right extremists” and has now published a helpful guide to spotting those dangerous right-wingers. It turns out that they’re people who read Beowulf, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, 1984, and other great works of English literature. Gee, you’d almost get the idea that the Leftist culture warriors who control Prevent, Britain as a whole,

What encourages far-right sympathies is people seeing in their own government the very things that these literary works featured in their antagonists. If the officials were more like the PROtagonists, the people would be less agitated. Hint to the clueless officials: It's YOU and not the books that cause negative reactions. Get off your oppressive kick, and your problem will go away by itself.

Yeah, Freedom and Liberty are "far right" concepts these days. Leftists are always totalitarian, nasty, violent thugs. Exactly how much of each at any particular time....is the only variable. You just don't hear leftists going on about freedom, liberty, and individual rights. EVER.

Wouldn't is be ironic if a corresponding British entity to 1984's "Ministry of Truth" removed that book from some venues?

When I saw they were naming the classic war flick of a real raid by the Brits on the key German dams in a major industrial region, "The Dam Busters", to be on their naughty list, it dawned on me that they were upset about the raid's leader's dog's name - a black Lab named the N-word. The leader's name was Guy Gibson and he was very fond of that Lab who was accidentally killed shortly before the raid. Gibson left orders for the dog to be buried about the time the raid would be reaching their targets and arranged that the radio code word for a successful breach of the dams would be the N-word.

I have also heard that people interested in Medieval history are on the watch list. There were no 'woke' knights at King Arthur's roundtable, and Henry the VIII's six wives were not diverse (like Meghan).

We can’t have the hoi polloi reading inspiring great works and becoming literate and informed. Too dangerous to the totalitarian left. The peasants must remain ignorant and uninformed lest they learn what the left is really up to...total rule and the destruction of Western Civilization.

So all the great actors of the UK are terrorists then? For they have read and acted in the plays of Shakespeare for decades. Sir Laurence Olivier was one of the greatest Hamlets ever to appear on stage. Loved the movie and watched it when I was younger.

As we reported earlier, Joe Biden made a “surprise” visit to Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky to appear tough to Americans after getting a lot of backlash for his handling of a Chinese spy balloon over the United States. But while it was a surprise to Americans, the Russians were told before we were. Then Biden tweeted that Ukraine had “captured a part of my heart,” infuriating Americans who believed he doesn’t give a darn about Americans including in places in crisis, like the border and East Palestine, Ohio. Americans think he’s more “captured” by what he (or his family) can get from Ukraine,

Some of my friends think Biden has been a punching bag for conservatives, while others can't believe how much Biden gets away with. Since both can't be true, which is it? Biden may be the least transparent president in history, although he claims the contrary. Biden has done just 22 media interviews, fewer than any of his six most recent White House predecessors at this point in their presidencies. Why? By avoiding answering revealing questions, could he be seeking to make it all go away? There are two primary reasons Biden does not meet with the public more often.

Al Gore’s hypocrisy is well known: consuming ten times the average household’s electricity in his Tennessee mansion, buying a beachfront mansion in California while warning of sea level rise, flying in private jets while hectoring us about our carbon footprint, etc. Turns out Gore’s investment fund, Generation Investment Management, dedicated to “sustainable” investing (ESG before it was the cool term) is in on the con, too. Bloomberg reports: "Espousing a mantra of 'sustainable capitalism,' Generation says it aims to invest in businesses that support 'an equitable, healthy and safe society' and minimize their contribution to global warming. Over time, it became one of the largest such firms, managing a peak $39 billion

In the past, it would be a safe bet that Bernie Sanders would run against the Democrat establishment candidate. Not anymore. Sanders has said he will support Biden, the oldest sitting president, in 2024 if he plans to run again. Biden would be 82 at the start of a second term. “I think there’s a general consensus right now that President Biden has done, not everything we would like, he has done a good job,” Sanders said on CBS. “And again, I can’t speak for anybody else. But what I have said is, if he runs, announces that he is going to run, I will support him.”

It’s amazing how many violent male criminals, especially those in prison for rape, discover that they are, in fact, “transgender women.” Suitably woke jurisdictions then hasten to transfer these same “women” to women’s prisons. That’s invariably followed by reports of women finding themselves terrorized in those same prisons. 2023 has offered two stunning headlines about the issue of violent men finding ways to get into women’s prisons. The first headline is that Nicola Sturgeon, Scotland’s very powerful, very woke National Party leader and first minister,

Since 1973, the U.S. Navy and other services have relied exclusively on an all-volunteer service. The results have been self-evident in two wars and numerous smaller military actions. Our boys and girls kick ass, and the rest of the world knows it and fears them like they fear no other nation’s armed forces. But successful military recruitment is usually a matter of how well the U.S. economy is doing. At present, the economy is overheated. This means it’s creating plenty of jobs, but because of Joe Biden and the Democrat’s spendapalooza since 2021, inflation is rocketing along. The long-range missiles matter. So do the super-accurate artillery shells, the surface-to-air missiles, and the winter weather gear; the training in the English countryside or the muddy Grafenwöhr maneuver grounds; and the intelligence provided from the eyes in space and the ears on airplanes that circle outside the battlezone. President Biden’s visit to Kyiv matters just as much as any of these. Other heads of government preceded him, earning deserved credit. But it is an altogether different thing when the president of the United States—who is, indeed, the leader of the Free World—shows up. His words mattered.

We were told there were 14,000 hours of surveillance video, but now it appears there are roughly 41,000 hours of tape. Tucker has long questioned whether J6 was an actual insurrection. The FBI stated in August 2021 they found little evidence that the crowd tried to topple the United States. A Harvard University survey released in August 2022 said the same thing. Democrats have fought to keep the tapes under wraps. That is understandable, as it’s hard to cry “insurrection” when looking at videos
