A viral hoax showing a supposedly cleaned-out library as a result of a new Florida law banning explicit material in schools has resulted in a teacher being fired. Brian Covey, who was a substitute teacher for Duval County Public Schools (Jacksonville area), was told his services would no longer be needed after he posted a video making it seem as if the Mandarin Middle School library had been emptied out. When questioned about the situation at the time, Gov. Ron DeSantis denounced it as a fake narrative, noting that nothing in the law required any school to take any such action.

Comments:

Should I assume the moron teacher who spread the narrative of empty FL library shelves is also a pedo?

While IF the bookshelves were actually emptied of the trash and porno that should never have been there in the first place, this sad EX-teacher will never understand that this would truthfully have been a good thing. Bye bye, Mr. Covey.

I wish I could cure stupid! It is best he was fired. Since this teacher demonstrated such a total lack of judgment, I feel he is unsuitable or not intelligent enough to teach anybody. They are saying his firing violated his right to free speech. - NO! He was not arrested for saying what he said. He lost his job for painting a false narrative, basically for lying! He needs to work at Disney.

Covey tried to fake DeSantis. Covey is incompetent. Covey is a fraud. He shouldn't be allowed to step foot into a public school ever again. Covey, you have been expelled.

Re #3: Incorrect. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/desert Scroll down to the third definition of "desert," pronounced the same as "dessert." Several of us went through this exact word and spelling problem a few weeks ago, but some won't unlearn what they learned wrongly as children.

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” — Winston Churchill, House of Commons, Oct. 22, 1945 American socialists are eager to prove Churchill right. Their preferred stalking horse in their pursuit of egalitarian misery is the specter of a climate apocalypse. Since the apocalypse, in their telling, is gonna be, well, apocalyptic, that means the defense against it must be just as all-embracing. And just as the defense against the real Nazi apocalypse bankrupted the British Empire, so, too, they are content to bankrupt America in the pursuit of a cause they believe has equal urgency.

George Soros wants to destroy the Republican Party. He’s made that very clear many times. So when Trump loyalists started spreading a video of remarks he made recently purporting to show Soros endorsing Ron DeSantis over Trump for the Republican nomination I knew there was something very fishy going on. Soros did express hope that DeSantis is the Republican nominee, but not because he thought the governor would make a good president. He hates DeSantis just as he hates Trump. What he wants is a 3-way race for president, which would guarantee a Democrat victory. He is convinced that if DeSantis wins the

For the first time, the ‘unsafe and ineffective’ COVID-19 vaccine was formally added to the routine immunization schedule for both children and adolescents by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday. It is common knowledge that COVID-19 poses no threat to young children, that mRNA vaccinations against the virus are not effective or safe and that some people have even died after receiving a COVID vaccine. But the CDC and its advisory council continue to push for childhood vaccinations despite all these facts. Back in October 2022, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which provides advice and guidance to the Director of the CD

No presidential administration in the nation’s history appears to have been more openly obsessed with race than the Biden regime and that is especially the case when it comes to the nation’s courts where identity has been prioritized over constitutional knowledge and mastery of jurisprudence. Tucker Carlson addressed the proverbial elephant in the living room of President Joe Biden’s brazen discrimination against white males in his judicial appointments, suggesting that diversity is merely another word for racism, using numbers to back it up. On Monday’s edition of his popular Fox News show “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the host expressed the now-controversial viewpoint that hiring should be based on merit rather than race.

An off-duty NYPD officer is in critical condition after he was shot in Brooklyn during an apparent robbery Saturday night, police said. The officer — a 26-year-old father of two — was blasted in the head during a shootout at 472 Ruby Street in East New York around 7 p.m., police and sources said. The officer accompanied his brother for a car purchase he arranged on Facebook marketplace, when he was shot in what appears to be a botched holdup, police and sources said. The suspect pulled out his gun “almost immediately,” after the two arrived at the scene and “announced a robbery,” Assistant Police Chief Michael Baldassano told reporters Saturday night.

A white, female Willamette University professor is scheduled to host a veritable struggle session this month at a local library “for white people to reflect together on what it means to ‘do our work’ as white people.” The professor, Emily Drew, predictably “teaches courses about racism, white supremacy, immigration, and social change,” according to a biography. “Her research agenda revolves around understanding how race and racism get institutionalized, with the goal of helping to illuminate more effective strategies for interrupting systemic inequality,” the biography reads. She also performs work for Crossroads, an “antiracism” consulting form whose mission centers on “dismantling racism” and “building racial justice in institutions.”

Who says there’s no justice in politics? Alright, I say that, but there are occasionally some exceptions. New York is currently learning the hard way that actions have consequences after a large group of illegal immigrants occupied a hotel, causing the city’s government and residents to decry the situation. Per Fox News, the illegal immigrants were scheduled to be relocated to a new “migrant relief center” but refused to vacate the free rooms they were given. An encampment was also set up outside the hotel’s lobby. A group of illegal migrants who entered into the U.S. through the southern border, are refusing to leave their free NYC hotel

We reported on the video released in the beating death of Tyre Nichols, and the video was not good. The police officers involved, who were all black, were fired and charged with second-degree murder in his death. So, one would think that “justice” was being pursued. Nichols’ family reportedly called for peace, saying they didn’t want any disturbance and were satisfied with how the case had been proceeding so far. But some in New York weren’t listening. There was a march with folks carrying the signs of the Party of Socialism and Liberation. People from the unaffiliated BLM group in New York, and their leader Hawk Newsome, were also marching.

The long-range missiles matter. So do the super-accurate artillery shells, the surface-to-air missiles, and the winter weather gear; the training in the English countryside or the muddy Grafenwöhr maneuver grounds; and the intelligence provided from the eyes in space and the ears on airplanes that circle outside the battlezone. President Biden’s visit to Kyiv matters just as much as any of these. Other heads of government preceded him, earning deserved credit. But it is an altogether different thing when the president of the United States—who is, indeed, the leader of the Free World—shows up. His words mattered.

We were told there were 14,000 hours of surveillance video, but now it appears there are roughly 41,000 hours of tape. Tucker has long questioned whether J6 was an actual insurrection. The FBI stated in August 2021 they found little evidence that the crowd tried to topple the United States. A Harvard University survey released in August 2022 said the same thing. Democrats have fought to keep the tapes under wraps. That is understandable, as it’s hard to cry “insurrection” when looking at videos
