The top five dirtiest cities in the country are run by Democrat mayors, a new study has found. Among 152 of the biggest cities across the United States, Houston, Texas, won the No. 1 spot for dirtiest city, followed by Newark, New Jersey., San Bernardino, California, Detroit, Michigan, and Jersey City, New Jersey, according to a study released Thursday by LawnStarter. LawnStarter measured each city across four categories: pollution, which measures things like air quality and greenhouse gas emissions; living conditions, like the percentage of homes containing mold or rats; infrastructure, which measures waste output and regulations; and consumer satisfaction

Houston 'wins' the most cockroaches category.

San Bernardino was once an "All American City." Well run by descendants of original founders and loud-mouthed but honest politicians. It was a nice place to live with a busy downtown, low unemployment, and safe, maintained parks. Good public libraries and even a popular yearly attraction, the National Orange Show. Hmm, newly elected politicians were having none of it. Here came the developers with pockets full money convincing the newer members of the city council that zoning changes would facilitate the transfer of money from the 'haves' to the 'wanna haves' meeting at city hall. Suddenly low income apartments--instant slums--began to sprout all over the city some even close to upscale neighborhoods thereby lowering property values. FOR SALE signs grew everywhere like unwanted poisonous toad stools. Those who could, moved to Redlands, site of the University of Redlands and said to be the 'Beverly Hills' of the Inland Empire. San Bernardino public employees began the looting until San Bernardino had to declare bankruptcy. Downtown is now a dreadful place, even the US Bankruptcy Court packed up and moved to better surroundings, Riverside. Democrat politicians ruined the city and there is no going back.

Joiseyans must be so proud of their home state! Two - - two - - of the top five dirtiest cities! What other state can boast of that? And on top of it - - Newark is also the car-jacking capital of the world. Joisey voters have an impeccable record of electing lunatic demonrats - - and they have no reason not to continue.

Notice that having poop on the sidewalks and used syringes in the parks are not part of the equation for dirtiness. Else SF might win this one, running away.

Yeah, Houston has a lot of roaches. But, it is built on a humid swamp. That is roaches natural habitat. The roaches and palmetto bugs were in Houston before it was Houston. Not like Eeeeew Yuck Chity which due to the cold dry climate shouldn't have lots of roaches.

OMG, this article is SO right. Houston sux!!!! Do NOT move here! Especially if you are liberal or unemployed because, in addition to dirt (LOL, what a hoot), cockroaches thrive on pansy-ass “victims” who expect unicorns and lollipops to pop up just because they’ve showed up.

A total ban on animal products could one day be on the cards for Cambridge University's food services following an Extinction Rebellion offshoot campaign. Cafes and canteens at Cambridge University are being pushed towards a '100 per cent plant-based' menu as student union votes were cast to 'initiate talks' for more sustainable options. Yesterday's vote came after lobbying from Cambridge's Plant Based Universities campaign, which is supported by Animal Rebellion, an offshoot of activist group Extinction Rebellion. Its motion - which calls for change in response to the 'climate and biodiversity crises' - was backed by 72 per cent of non-abstaining student

Twitter users piled on President Biden Tuesday after he boasted growing up in a Polish community while visiting the country. While speaking to the media, the president recalled his own connections to Poland, saying that his childhood home was a Polish community. "I was, as a young man, I was born in a coal town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, northeastern Pennsylvania, in an Irish Catholic neighborhood. Ukraine's insistence on reasserting control over the annexed Crimean Peninsula is controversial for United States citizens, exclusive polling for Newsweek has revealed. Throughout the past year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly committed to "liberating" Crimea from Russian control. The peninsula was illegally annexed by Moscow back in 2014. "Crimea is our land, our territory," Zelensky said in January. "It is our sea and our mountains. Give us your weapons—we will return what is ours." His words coincided with reports that the Biden administration was warming up to the idea of supporting Kyiv in its goal of retaking Crimea.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has called out the rail operator at the center of a hazardous train derailment in Ohio. In a sharply worded, three-page letter sent Sunday to Norfolk Southern Railway president and CEO Alan Shaw, Buttigieg accused the Atlanta-based company of repeatedly prioritizing profit over safety -- a problematic ethos within the larger transportation industry that the secretary said has contributed to a number of derailments over the years. "The derailment of a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous materials near East Palestine, Ohio, has upended the lives of numerous residents, many of whom continue to worry about

In Sacramento, there’s a word that keeps popping up during discussions about the state’s homelessness crisis: “accountability.” Gov. Now, the reports are that he’s made good on that and released 14,000 hours to Tucker Carlson and his crew, that they’re reviewing it, and that there may be even more footage. The Ukrainians have not only held their own, but have managed to liberate a good chunk of their conquered territory. They’ve been buoyed tremendously by a constant influx of Western military aid. I argue here, against a small but vocal conservative faction, that we should continue this aid. There has been plenty of unhelpful hyperbole on both sides of the debate. Prominent pro-Ukrainers have attempted to equate opposition to Ukrainian aid as opposition to democracy itself. Michael Beschloss, NBC’s resident Rent-A-Zinn, referencing members of Congress who didn’t applaud Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent speech, and in Stalinist fashion, tweeted “we need to know from them exactly why.”

Nonprofit research organization Wirepoint has looked into Illinois public schools, and their performance deserves less than an “A+.” Among more than 30 institutions of learning, zero students can read at their respective grade levels. As for math, across 53 schools, no students are proficient. The bulk of those underperforming campuses — twenty-two in the case of reading and thirty-three in the case of math — sit within the City of Chicago School District — where taxpayers annually spend between $5,929 and $56,311 per student.

Once upon a time we mocked the Soviet Union for its gerontocracy. Aged party leaders, bundled up in overcoats and fur hats to the point of near-unrecognizability, would be wheeled out to sit, immobile, as parades passed or party congresses opened. Their withered, stale leadership was emblematic of the decaying USSR’s withered, stale ideology — and industrial base. But now the joke’s on us. A leading United States senator, Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), can’t seem to remember important things, like her just-taken vote on a judicial nominee and her just-announced retirement. “Did I vote for that?” she asked an aide Wednesday, moments after leaving the chamber.
