Grammy award-winning singer Rihanna is the featured performer of the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show — and is bringing years of woke, partisan baggage to the supposedly apolitical event.
In 2018, the “Disturbia” singer accused the United States Border Patrol of “terrorism” over their use of tear gas to stop migrants from illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.
That following year, Rihanna went after Republican lawmakers in the state of Alabama over them having signed abortion legislation, describing them as shameful “idiots” who were curtailing women’s rights.
“Take a look. These are the idiots making decisions for WOMEN in America,” the pop star wrote in a Twitter post, accompanied by an image
Get out of my country, R, and go back to Barbados. Stay there.

I had to watch just a little and it's bad. She has lost her talent unless a** grabbing is talent these days. her dancing (if it can be called that) is horrible, dancers outfits look ridiculous. Can't tell if she is pregnant again or just has a little baby weight left. She topped to powder hr face in the middle of it?!? I'm leaving.

The TV is on mute. This woman has no talent. Awful halftime show and extremely racist.

Worst ever. She is a joke no talent. Why can't the NFL get something worthwhile?

1) the young people who sang at the very very beginning were wonderful. (I’m assuming they didn’t dub anything, but who knows.)
The arrangement of “Shenandoah” was stunning, and the chorus was sufficiently mixed with color and ethnicity.
2) Baby Face was a Wonderful treat. Dubbed, but oh well.
3) the National Anthem was very nice. I like a cappella groups, but this was nice.
4) the NFL has managed to stack the entertainers with enough blacks to hush the critics. For now.
5) watching Puppy Bowl — not R.
Fortunately, these dogs don’t sing.

They should get Dolly Parton for a half-time show. Now that would rock!

Watched the Super Travesty only because my daughter & son in law asked us to come down & hang out. Watched until halftime when we left to head home & go to bed. Between the "Black National Anthem" and sorry half time show, my decision to quit watching NFL games and do something else, was the right call.

We missed the whole thing while packing for our Monday trip to Maui. Sounds like we didn't miss much but that the game was competitive, and the final score was close.

Curiosity got the better of me and I watched it. Huge mistake! Had the NFL had a lick of sense they would have had an Elvis tribute coming off the success of that movie. Could have multiple groups who have been influenced by the King sing some of their favorite songs and then end the performance with Austin Butler doing Elvis’s “I Have A Dream” song. It would have done two great things, brought the house down and sent a message of unity. Of course, we can’t have that in this country. Huge missed opportunity. The NFL hierarchy has gone full blown woke. Such a shame because it could have been a catalyst for some real coming together. The elites in this country in every aspect from politics to entertainment are bound and determined to destroy us. They know a house divided against itself cannot stand and they intend to do everything in their power to collapse it.

Too bad Maria Bartiromo was singing her praises this morning on her show - mainly as a new mother and obviously has no clue about her left wing politics.

Didn't see any of the game or this woke fool...so I'm at a loss as to how shameful it was...happy the Chiefs won...my daughter told me this morning....I'm off all football for years...since the kneeling loser made a mockery of the National Anthem....I loved the Chicago bears with sweetness Payton and Gayle Sayers and the Frig...those were fun days....

I don’t care about her politics. I doubt she cares all that much either. I do care about art and what I viewed at half time was not art. I knew the songs, so called, would be mediocre at best but held out hope that she would present a compelling spectacle for the audience. Instead we were subjected to grotesque costumes, clunky dance routines and zero emotional outreach. Rihanna’s half time show was a celebration of ugliness, therefore entirely appropriate for our time.

I was impressed to see the Chinese "weather balloon" had been recovered and used to create all those costumes.

#15 great idea! But it would never happen because the media and black Americans have managed to question whether or not Elvis was racist and whether he stole R&B songs from black artists. R&B and especially the Motown sound exploded in the early 60's because the music became acceptable, thanks to Elvis Presley.
By the way, the half time show was the worst!

It was a feral pig doing porn in a venue that she'd been cleared to do. An animal of the lowest order without consciousness or empathy.

The NFL must not have a lot of respect for the black community. Martin Luther King Jr. would be so proud. Not.
