Gen. Glen VanHerck, commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and Northern Command (NORTHCOM), admitted Monday that the joint U.S.-Canada organization missed previous incursions of Chinese spy balloons, including during the Trump administration.
When asked during a press briefing whether NORTHCOM was involved in tracking previous Chinese spy balloon that flew into the U.S. airspace during the Biden and Trump administrations, VanHerck responded:
So those balloons, so every day as a NORAD commander it’s my responsibility to detect threats to North America. I will tell you that we did not detect those threats.

If they missed them, then how do they know about them now? Because the treasonous TLAs say they have 'evidence' or 'sources'? They said that about 'Russia, Russia, Russia' collusion by President Trump and also H. BiteMe's laptop, didn't they? We need a lot of public hangings in DC, after their fair 5-min trial, of course. And treat them as they have the J6 political prisoners, before they're hanged.

Were you all asleep, or are you telling me radar didn't pick it up, or you just lying? Which is it?

More confusion to muddy the water, and clear Joey of any perceived wrongdoing.

Lying, pure and simple. IF the CHICOMS had balloons floating across Alaska and YOU didn't inform the President and his staff, then you are Criminally Negligent!

“A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth”
“If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”
“The bigger the lie, the more it will be believed.”
“If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes accepted as truth.”
“The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.”
Purported to be quotes by Joseph Goebbels.
That last one about the English - it seems some Americans are pretty good at that too.

Meant to add that some Americans have become almost as good at telling a big lie to the point of ridiculousness as Goebbels himself.

FTA: VanHerck said that the military did have time to shoot it down over the Aleutian Islands, but that since the balloon did not present a “physical military threat” to North America, “I could not take immediate action because it was not demonstrating hostile act or hostile intent.”
So, why would China invest in misslie technology when ti can just mout nukes on balloons and just float them over to us? No hostile intent???? Is that supposed to be some kind of sick joke? His JOB is to guard American airspace. He failed. Fire him.

Because Trump's very presence made them incompetent whereas before they were trained and alert?

And here I thought that the military leaders were incompetent when I was in some fifty years ago. They have come a long way since then. They sound like the biggest grouping of morons in the history of this once great country. We are in big trouble.

By golly old technology still works like the balloons the Japanese flew over California WW1. But the military caught them then. How’s our military becoming more foolish? Actions speak louder than words.

If they missed it then they should all be fired. They are supposed to have a serious "grown-up" job. Honestly, a two year old would not get away with the childish excuses they give or the lies they tell.
