The office of New York Attorney General Letitia James released footage on Tuesday of the deposition of former President Donald Trump. The video was intended to create a narrative as President Trump repeatedly invoked privileges under the fifth amendment against self-incrimination. However, if you watch the introductory part of the deposition, to include the statements from the office of the AG, you get a real sense of how this witch hunt is being conducted.(snip)Pay close attention to the preliminary procedural explanations and questions from state Attorney General Letitia James. (snip) you realize no one in their right mind would answer any questions from this “investigative inquiry”.

What a total disgrace and embarrassing proceeding by the NY AG! The lawyers that participated in this disgrace should be disbarred. Great work Trump giving them the back of the hand they deserve: you are a disgrace. Then same answer. Trump was one, with half a dozen AG lawyers across the desk. This deposition was taken only to release it to the public, and try and embarrass Trump, but that has boomeranged, and will only condemn the NY AG, embarrassment not being possible.

The intent, as always, is the “death by a thousand cuts” when it comes to Trump. Media friends of Democrats will report Trump’s deposition “theater” to create the negative fake news publicity that they crave. Between NY’s Governor and AG, New Yorkers’ sanctuary Blue State status will remain intact. Take a personal look at New York City to see what Democrats rule accomplishes … just bring some form of self-defense with you.

Almost 8 years since he came down the escalator. He has to be the most investigated man in history and they continue to come up empty. The government is an organized crime family. The family has to have something on you for control purposes. They have nothing on Trump and so no control. He is a threat and that terrifies them.

The very FIRST thing they tell him is that this is a "Confidential Deposition" and neither he nor his attorney may mention anything about it to the press, they are not entitled to a copy of the transcript, nor allowed to take any notes, may not tape it or even revue or receive copies of any tapes...He even asks "So none of this can be given to the press?" and acts surprised, clearly understanding it as NO ONE, Including her, or her minions can talk about it or release it either. NOW she turns around and releases the full tape and transcript to the press. It apparently was only "Confidential" for one side.

I'm surprised that AG James didn't have a gallows, rope, minister and hangman on site as well.

Mr. Trump put old Lettuce James in her place with his statement invoking the 5th. Then we're treated to a little wussie asking stupid questions that were so leading as to scream for the 5th. AG buttboi: Do you agree that on June 12th, 2008 that you held a 2 year old child above your head in Central Park, slit its throat, and drank the blood in the manner of a Basque goatherd swilling wine from a leather pouch? Thanks for posting, OP. It makes me want to vomit to hear this thoroughly corrupt Soros-owned, POS, AA hire call him Mr. Trump over and over and grill him like a child as to his understanding of right, wrong and ability to understand what’s happening. How he keeps his cool is beyond me. His statement is pure Trump—which many hate, but I love—even calling one of her co-conspirators “a loser, a real loser.” Nothing good will come out of this for her, as far as the general public, although the left will be orgasmic over what they feel are the implications. A pox on all their houses. You hang in there, Mr. President. Their turn will come, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Do you think that Miss Letiticia felt the slap in the face. She’ll have to call Soros to find out what she should do next.

“When did these guys drink the Kool-Aid, and who served it to them?” That The New York Times deemed that reference to former Attorney General William Barr and Special Counsel John Durham from Stefan Halper’s criminal defense attorney relevant, much less persuasive, to the question of the propriety of the special counsel’s investigation renders Thursday’s hit piece unworthy of any credibility.

While most corporate media coverage of last week’s Republican National Committee (RNC) meeting was devoted to the contested leadership race between Ronna McDaniel and Harmeet Dhillon, the organization’s conference yielded a significant win for election integrity. During the meeting, RNC members unanimously passed a resolution rejecting the use of ranked-choice voting (RCV) in U.S. elections. In an RCV system, voters rank candidates in order of preference. If no candidate receives a majority of first-choice votes in the first round of voting, the last-place finisher is eliminated, and his votes are reallocated to the voter’s second-choice candidate. Such a process continues until one candidate receives a majority of votes.

On the literal eve of a House vote to end the COVID emergency through legislation, the White House announced they would end the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration on May 11th. [pdf here] The managers of Biden knew they would face a bipartisan vote to end the power of the dictatorial fiat known as the COVID emergency, so they quickly rushed to give Democrats in congress cover for voting against the legislative end. In the end this is all a matter of pure politics and posturing for narrative control, because the Democrat controlled Senate is not going to take up the House bills

The delivery of tanks, advanced air defense systems and potentially long-range ground-launched bombs may be a response to Ukraine’s dire requests, but it also brings with it a new load of problems. These hastily and urgently provided supplies indicate that all is not well in Kiev and that it is closer than ever to losing the war with Russia. (snip)The US decision to ship upgraded nuclear bombs to Europe also will convince the Russians that tactical nuclear war may be NATO’s response if Ukraine collapses. Compared with the US and NATO, Russia has a massive arsenal of tactical and strategic nuclear weapons.

Important and laudable as it was at the time (1975), we must conclude that the Senate’s vaunted “Church Committee,” under Sen. Frank Church (D-Idaho), ultimately failed in its mission to reform the CIA, FBI, IRS, and the National Security Agency (NSA) anywhere near permanently. Now, 48 years later, we’re in a similar, and arguably worse, situation with the same—and more—three-letter agencies, the only serious difference being that this time Democrats are trying to cover things up while back then it was largely the Republicans. I hesitate to use Wikipedia, given its reflexive bias, but its summary of what the Church group found seems accurate:

Donald Trump is not stupid. His opponents have always underestimated him because of the colloquial way he talks–sounding vastly different than most people in the highly educated class. Not sounding educated, they assume he isn’t and by extension isn’t smart. But in recent weeks Trump has been acting as if he is stupid, and I have to say I am surprised. Trump has been attacking Ron DeSantis on the COVID lockdown issue, arguing that the governor’s reputation as a freedom fighter is unearned. Trump even implies that DeSantis was something of a COVID fascist, while Trump himself was fighting to reopen the American economy. That is a profoundly stupid line of attack.
