Fighter jets shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic today after Joe Biden vowed to 'take care of it' and the FAA shutdown three airports in the Carolinas.
The balloon was seen bursting at 2.38pm and its payload - the metal structure carrying its cameras - appeared to have been separated as it plummeted towards the ocean off Myrtle Beach.
The Biden administration confirmed the shoot-down order around 2pm after the President this morning vowed, 'We're gonna take care of it,' as he stepped off Air Force One at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, upstate NY.

The U.S. military has shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean.
While the balloon was off the coast of South Carolina, the balloon was shot down by the U.S. military on Saturday afternoon, according to Fox News sources.
A senior defense official said during a Thursday afternoon briefing that the U.S. government is "confident" the surveillance balloon is from the People's Republic of China.
When asked about the balloon on Saturday by a reporter, Biden said "we're going to take care of it." (Photo) A senior U.S. official told Fox News on Saturday that the government was considering a plan to shoot the balloon down while it's over the Atlantic Ocean

Anne Holton, wife of U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), denounced the Declaration of Independence and Constitution as “fundamental in enshrining slavery.”
Holton made the comments as Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R) new history standards were approved 5-3 by the Commonwealth’s Board of Education, upon which she sits. She said:
To an audience as inclusive as our Virginia is, you cannot reference the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as ‘remarkable documents’ without also acknowledging that they [are] fundamental in enshrining slavery, and limiting the protections that they provided only to white property-owning men.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox News @ Night,” House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) stated that he was never alerted by the Biden administration about the Chinese spy balloon.
Host Trace Gallagher asked, “Are you getting any information, sir, from the Pentagon about the specifics or anything else about this balloon?”
Green responded, “No. We’re getting very little and we never got a phone call. We never got alerted to this. It’s a crying shame when the Chairman of Homeland Security finds out about a Chinese spy balloon flying over the United States, it’s just — it’s really unconscionable.”

Joe Biden dawned his angry eyes on Friday, which have notably shrunk into a very concerning size over the years, to deliver a rant on how he’s been a uniting force around the world.
The president is never more cringe than when he does his fire and brimstone preacher impersonation, and it wasn’t long before the entire act devolved into a bout of senility. This happened in Pennsylvania during a joint appearance with Kamala Harris.
As an aside, why does Biden spend so much time in Pennsylvania? Whenever he wants to “connect with the people” and brag about his non-successes, he goes there as if no other states exist.

The British military’s supply of ammunition would run dry in just one day in a direct engagement with Russia as a result of years of spending cuts to the nation’s defence, a former top general has warned.
General Sir Richard Barrons, who formerly served as the Joint Forces chief, claimed that spending cuts have depleted the British military to such an extent that, in a hot war with Russia, the UK would run out of ammunition and artillery shells within just one day.
According to research conducted by The Sun newspaper, the United Kingdom’s ammunition plants would need at least one year to produce the amount of shells currently used by the Ukrainians

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden took out a $250,000 line of credit against their home in the Delaware beach town of Rehoboth – as federal investigators probe both the president and his son, Hunter, a new report reveals.
The Bidens secured the loan – which allows them to borrow the quarter of a million dollars against the home’s equity – on Dec. 5, according to county records reviewed by Fox News.
It’s unclear from any paperwork why the couple took out the line of credit on the home, reportedly purchased in 2017 for nearly $3 million. The White House did not respond to a request for comment from The Post.

Former President Donald Trump warned on Friday that China has “many thousands of spies working in the United States” in various industries amid a revelation that a Chinese spy balloon is flying over the continental United States.
“It’s rarely even mentioned that China has many thousands of spies working in the United States in business, finance, academia, technology, media and likely, even government, very sadly,” Trump declared.
Trump then called out President Joe Biden for ending Trump’s Department of Justice initiative that focused on combatting Chinese espionage within the country.

There's a 'd-word' that obsesses and terrifies the mainstream media every time a Republican starts talking tough about reining in America's out-of-control – dare I say, suicidal – federal spending.
Strikingly, the word is not 'debt.'
It's 'default'.
On Wednesday, Speaker Kevin McCarthy met for the first time with President Joe Biden to kick off negotiations ahead of the now-recurring, annual business of raising America's borrowing limit to finance its upward-spiraling debt.
'Default' was on the minds of reporters waiting for McCarthy outside the White House. 'Can you commit that the U.S. will not default on its obligations,' one asked.
No one – the least of which being McCarthy – wants America to fail

President Joe Biden opened a Friday afternoon event in Philadelphia by talking about his wife's intense love for the city's sports teams.
'As the mayor knows, she is one - self-assured Philly fan,' he said, pausing at one point to choose the correct words to express first lady Jill Biden's zeal.
'My wife hates violence, she says,' Biden continued. 'We went to a Flyers game a couple years ago. And the Secret Service is in a box, next to us, anyway. And a fight breaks out. And my wife who hates violence goes "get em, get em," jumping up. The Secret Service looks, "where the heck did that come from?"'
