The pandemic sparked a restlessness in American life, with many families opting to move in search of more space or a lower cost of living. That trend continued in 2022, with hundreds of thousands of people uprooting their lives and moving to new states.
But some regions are benefitting from an influx of new residents — a trend that can help those areas grow their economies and expand their tax bases — while others are witnessing a net loss of residents. About 25 U.S. states saw more people move within their boundaries last year, while about 25 states lost residents or were relatively flat,

New residents are always welcome with one serious condition. Please leave any and all of your liberal voting mindsets at the state line. Otherwise, Florida is guaranteed to become another Blue sht hole like the places people are moving from. Keep Florida Red for all to enjoy.

My native Texas born wife still wishes that Texas would build a border wall.
On its northern, eastern, and western border.

The writer lists, basically, the economics issues that drive people away, but doesn't mention woke-ism, trash, violence, and other down-to-earth survival problems. Not good enough.

Kinda like a plague of locusts. They move in, ruin everything with their supercilious, witless socialism, and then move on to ruin somewhere else.

CBS (Commie Broadcast Silliness) told me that the pandemic cause American to get restless, not out of control crime, high taxes or the overall crappyness of places like NYC, LA, SF, Chicago, Fithydelphia, Baltimore.
It's the pandemic, geee thanks CBS for not lying to me.

None of this is shocking. Even some lieberals (actually leftist morons) have common sense (I know it doesn't happen often). The thing is, their delicate sensibilities are overridden by the urge to survive, hence the exodus from hellish locations they helped create. The rest of us are saddled with the burden they create by moving nearby. Even though elections really don't mean anything in many locations, due to commiecrat cheating, there are still states where election laws actually exist. Good luck trying to convince any of them to change their ways!

A little amazed to see not one word on the fact every state people moved to is run by Republicans. And every state people are fleeing from are controlled by Demonrats. Talk about leaving out the obvious.

Luckily in my state there are almost no jobs and almost no housing. We get a few cars with communist states plates (usually NY) passing through, but thankfully most dont stop except to rob a gas station or skip out on a restaurant bill.

What could eventually be more divisive than having politics divide the USA by states?! Sending illegal aliens mostly to dem politically dominated states could hasten that dangerous divide. The dem/socialists must be thinking, 'checkmate,' but the American voters can see what is happening every time we go to the grocery store and try to find something worth watching on TV. Unethical, calculating leftist politicos no longer seem to appreciate the Constitutional principles of Liberty in America, much less, love the USA. They are even destroying the education of children. Every dem policy results in more destruction. Their polices lead to strife all around.

Yeah, yeah, we know. But how about some data? State by State plusses or minusses? Too much to ask?

Thats good for the house, giving Red states more population will also give us more seats in the House but, it is bad for the Presidential races cause these states still have votes in the electoral college.
