The Biden administration is proposing a change to the way it collects data on federal workers that would allow employees to identify themselves as of Middle Eastern or North African descent, instead of identifying themselves as "White." The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on Thursday announced a series of proposed changes to the race/ethnicity data that it has kept since 1977. The OMB said changes are warranted because people’s preferences relating to how they identify themselves have changed. The OMB said in its proposal that there have been "large societal, political, economic, and demographic shifts in the United States throughout this period," citing the following examples: increasing

Comments:

On the surface, there is a certain logic to the change. But knowing who’s proposing it, my fear is how it will be used.

I've seen a lot of different ethnicities listed on forms I've had to fill out. And there is always Other on there. Wonder what the real reason for this is.

The Biden administration and Democrats are obsessed with dividing everyone into groups. Identity politics rules every policy and action in the name of equity and social justice. Soon, at least one page of every application for anything will be dedicated to every variation of racial and ethnic identity possible.

It was just about a century ago that many Arabs, including Elias Hallaby, grandfather of Jordan's Queen Nur, argued that Arabs should be considered white. One argument was that both Arabs and Jews, including Jesus the Christ, are Semitic children of Father Abraham. My take: It's a divide-and-conquer power grab.

Indians are Caucasians and they come in different colors. Do forms list Caucasians or White these days. Maybe they should just have a color scale if they feel the need to classify.

The reason for this Biden move, like just about everything that the 101% politically partisan Biden does, is to create additional expanded specific Democrat supporting minority groups within the ethnic, gender, racial and even LGBTQ+ categories included within the Democrat identity based political schemes. Anyone who has been paying attention since Biden assumed office should recognize that Biden has been attempting to reorganize and separate the USA population into all sorts of identity based groups that Biden’s covert leftist Democrat handlers believe the leftist Democrats can control politically and thus remain in power indefinitely.

It’s always the way with political memoirs that everyone sifts them for the high-grade gossip. So it is with Mike Pompeo’s memoir, “Never Give an Inch” released this week. Media reports have understandably focused on the former CIA director and Secretary of State’s opinions on Donald Trump, John Bolton, Kim Jong-Un and a bunch of other folks. But as is often the case, one of the biggest stories in the book has so far been overlooked. When Pompeo was Secretary of State he took probably the most hawkish view any American official has yet taken towards the Communist Party of China. In a speech in October 2019, he told an audience

As a white child, I not only grew up in abject poverty and found myself homeless often, but also living in majority black projects from time to time as my family was evicted from 34 homes by the time I was 17 years of age. With some of those moves, I was either the only white child in my class or one of the few. During those years, single black moms working two or three jobs to support their children while sacrificing their own happiness not only became my heroes, but enduring role models. Black lives do matter; should matter; and need to be protected. And yet, many on the left

Back in 2016, with a presidential election underway, I made the case that Senate Republicans should force Democrats to live under their own power-hungry rules. They should do so, I said, by applying the Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer standards to the newly-created Supreme Court vacancy, following the death of the late great Justice Antonin Scalia. Then-Majority Leader Mitch McConnell did precisely that, holding the seat open until after the election, paving the way for President Trump's trio of superb SCOTUS nominations. The Democrats got red in the face and stomped their feet, but after decades of hyper-partisan, unilateral escalations in the judicial confirmation wars,

Former President Donald Trump for now certainly seems to have had more documents labeled "classified" at Mar-a-Lago in Florida than did President Joe Biden at his various homes in Delaware. Yet otherwise, the comparisons between the two cases, contrary to popular punditry, hardly favor Biden. First, a stranger would face a far greater challenge entering a post-presidential Mar-a-Lago than a pre-presidential Biden home, office, or garage -- or who knows where? Secret service agents and private security were stationed at Mar-a-Lago. Prior to the 2020 presidential election they were not at citizen Biden's various troves for most of 2017-2020, much less prior to 2009.

Combining the classic Shakespearean themes of regicide and patricide with our contemporary idolatry of narcissism and victimhood, “Revenge” is not unfolding on Broadway or the West End; a real-life adaptation is being livestreamed into our homes as two separate but entwined psychodramas. While the tickets are free, the cost may be more than anyone can imagine. The English version stars a man named Harry; the American edition, a man named Hunter.

He admitted as much in September when he declared the pandemic was “over.” Yet the president and his administration have enjoyed the extra powers that have accompanied the national emergency declaration. She received 111 votes, while Dhillon received 51 and Lindell received four. Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), who did not ultimately make a run for RNC chair, also received one vote.

The Biden administration is facing some scrutiny over a proposal to change the way it racially/ethnically classifies federal employees. At the moment, anyone of Middle Eastern or North African descent only has the option of identifying/being classified as “white.” Were the administration’s proposal to be approved, these individuals would instead have the option of identifying as Middle Eastern or North African. The proposal would accomplish this by rewriting the Office of Management and Budget 1997 Statistical Policy Directive No. 15: Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity (SPD 15).
