This is what you're up against now, Putin:
How America's Abrams, Germany's Leopard
2 and Britain's Challenger compare to
Russia's outdated T-72 tanks as they are

The United States, Germany and more Western allies are poised to join Britain in sending heavy tanks to Ukraine in a move that could prove a gamechanger in Kyiv's war effort. Washington is sending 31 of its fast-moving M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, while Berlin will initially supply at least 14 Leopard 2 tanks and give permission to other NATO countries - including Poland, Finland and Denmark - to deliver their own to Kyiv. Britain was the first NATO country to announce it would send 14 next-generation battle tanks to Ukraine in the form of the Challenger 2 tanks. And French President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday that he asked his defence minister

This will not change a thing. Russia will destroy the tanks, and Ukraine will have ever increasing demands for money and equipment.

Many military folks rate the Leopard as the best tank in the world with the Abrams 2nd. Certified Russkie tank-killers. And #1's point is way valid. Thanks to Brandon, the Taliban's got our stuff for free.

And if the tanks do happen to threaten Putin's efforts, that's one more step to push him towards using tactical nukes... In a war in the interests of only the elite political crooks of the world (NATO and WEF) who don't want Ukraine's money laundering schemes revealed and ended. The rest of sane and non-brainwashed Western humanity really, really, really, doesn't want this war to prop up Ukraine. And yet, there goes billions more dollars on the tail of billions upon billions of tax dollars pumped into this farcical road to the Apocalypse.

Weapons don't win wars; weapon SYSTEMS do. Part of what makes the Abrams, Leopard, and Challenger such lethal systems are their crews. They're not going to train up a bunch of volunteers to run those tanks at full potential in three weeks, three months, or even three years. Part of what makes the Abrams, etal, such lethal systems is their maintenance. The personnel training and supply chain for that will take even longer to establish than the training of the tank crews. Part of what makes the Abrams, etal, such lethal systems is the tactics. Combined arms tactics should only take the Ukrainians about a decade to master. This entire idea is moronic.

What a rhymes with "hit hoe"! It's a family-friendly site, so I'll le you all fill in the details. All these wars do is prop up wealthy people. Neither the wars nor the wealthy people they prop up give a damn about normal folks whether they are Russian, American, British, French -- the whole lot. I am tired of all of this from the Bushes to the Cheneys to the Obamas to the Bidens -- and let me not forget the Clintons. They can all rot on a dung heap as far as I am concerned. It is all about money and power, all the time. It is not about "The People." Oh . . . I used to feel sorry for the president of Ukraine. But a 40,000-Euro shopping spree by the Mrs. at Christmas time -- what a load of old rhymes with "hit"!

They are not going to fly them there, they will have to go by ship...ships can be relatively easily sunk, particularity freight/supply ships. Even once on land in the region, it is a looooong way from any NATO port, to the front lines, LOTS of bridges, tunnels, over passes that the trains carrying them would need to clear, all easy to strike, as are the trains themselves.. IF they tried to drive the tanks? count on serious breakdowns, parts replacements, particularly tracks and transmissions, sitting ducks the whole way, and they will destroy the roads...none are built for that kind of tank traffic. Using leopards makes better sense, send the abrams to replace leopard battalions in areas far from the current battle lines, if they are going to be sent at all. If Putin gets thew abandoned arms from the Taliban there are LOTS of smart 125mm rounds, 100's of them, deadly for tanks, fitting both the artillery left there as well as adaptable to Russia 125mm tank tubes...

During a White House briefing on Tuesday, a reporter asked Kirby if the Biden administration’s policy of paying for troops and their family members to travel out of state for abortion is “critical” for military readiness.Kirby responded that since the U.S. military comprised of volunteers, it was a “foundational, sacred obligation” to provide them and their family members with paid travel and time off to get abortions if they were based in states where it is restricted.

West Palm Beach, Fla.— When student activists assembled in Florida last year for Turning Point Action’s annual summit, many were torn, wrestling with whether former President Donald Trump or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was the Republican Party’s best hope for 2024. One year later, there is no more doubt. Attendees at this year’s meeting booed at even the suggestion of a contested GOP primary. Trump, they overwhelmingly said, is their pick. “Trump, for sure. I don’t think anyone else really has a chance,” said Sky Sanchez, 21, a student from Durham, North Carolina, who was volunteering at the conference with the Tea Party Patriots.

Workers over the aged of 50 are entitled to make catch-up contributions to their 401(K)s worth up to $7,500 this year. The annual cap on all contributions is $30,000. But from 2024, those earning over $145,000 will no longer be able to put these catch-up payments into a traditional 401(K). Instead, the money will be only funneled into a Roth IRA account, according to new rules passed through Congress in December. The main difference between a Roth account and a 401(K) pot is that the former is taxed upfront -

New York City has embraced a set of controversial policies that push the limits of green experimentation in seeking to reduce emissions from buildings, kitchen appliances, and cars. Critics argue the new policies are likely to be costly and burdensome for the city's millions of residents. New York City has drafted rules to slash carbon emissions from its roughly 50,000 buildings by more than 40% by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050 — an ambitious goal, especially considering buildings in the city are the source of 70% of its total greenhouse gas emissions.

The supporters of former President Trump are absolutely correct about one thing. If every single Republican pledged their allegiance to him and fell in line he’d win the nomination easily. But he’d also lose the general election, again. He does not receive enough support from outside the traditional Republican and MAGA base to win in 2024. Hillary Clinton beat Trump by roughly 3 million in the popular vote in 2016. While Trump indeed did win the election by taking the required 270 electoral votes, just a few thousand votes in each of the key swing states would have changed that outcome into a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.

After all, there’s no practical difference in the phrases. In fact, the choice to give preference to the phrase “people of color” is worse than practically useless to an English speaker -- it’s needlessly more burdensome to both the talker and the listener.
