'This extremely dangerous decision takes

Russia vows Western vehicles will 'burn'
as Germany confirms it will give tanks

Russia today warned that Germany's decision to send dozens of modern tanks to Ukraine is 'extremely dangerous' and will 'take the conflict to a new level'. Bringing an end to a bitter row, Chancellor Olaf Scholz finally confirmed today Berlin will send its own German-made Leopard 2 tanks to the front lines and allow Nato allies to deliver some of theirs. Scholz even teased further deliveries of air defence systems, heavy artillery and multiple rocket launchers and says Germany 'intends to expand what we have delivered', a major U-turn on the chancellor's previous reluctance.  Russia branded the move a 'blatant provocation'

More pointless escalation giving current weapons to one of the two bad actors in this horrible play. We have no business being there. Ukraine is not a strategic ally. We can't afford this. And we're p***ing off the Russians for no benefit. I have no problem p***ing them off if there was a real benefit to it but stuffing money in Joe's pocket and diverting more tax dollars to the weapons makers is not a benefit for the rest of us.

A nuclear war? So the elites have given up on abortion, sex change operations, rampant drug deaths, biological warfare called covid19 and deadly jabs to reduce the population fast enough to 'save the earth', so they're going all out for the Big Bang. I bet five bucks they have their jets ready to fly them to posh fallout shelters for themselves and their loved ones.

Do the Russian Oligarchs really want to see themselves and their possessions consumed in a nuclear war? Does the Russian army, who has demonstrated its incompetence against a second rate military, the Ukrainians, really want to go toe to to with the USA and Nato? Somebody needs to clean up this mess and put somebody who's competent and rational in charge over there. Spewing talk of Nuking major national capitals is insane. Well we know Russia has a penchant for Insane rulers. Stalin, Ivan the Terrible to name a couple.

We should be seeing the ports, railroads and highways being shut down with hyper-sonic missiles we keep hearing about... At least that is my hope since the alternative is WWIII with ICBM to US cities, Russia destroyed, China allowed to step in and 'help' America by purchasing our food producing and manufacturing all while the democrats cheer.

Russia should be reminded of the MIG fighter aircraft, SAMs, other heavy, radar-guided anti-aircraft and millions of AK-47 assault weapons they provided to the NVA to ensure that American combat forces, air power in particular, would be compromised and degraded in the Vietnam War. That said, I'd rather not see things escalate between the US and another increasingly desperate and belligerent nuclear power.

I thought Putin was on his deathbed 6 months ago but he appears to have been miraculously cured. He may not be a good guy, but should I believe he's the most evil monster in the world because the media says so? I'm not saying that there's no trouble in Ukraine, but I am saying I don't know what to believe. Foreign coverage of the tank issue (if it is mentioned at all) does not sound like we're on the brink of nuclear war. All I'd like is a reliable source for the truth.

A new set of whale meat vending machines debuted in Japan this week. Kyodo Senpaku Co., a Japanese whaling operator, unveiled them in the port town of Yokohama, approximately 20 miles from its capital city of Tokyo. This is the third vending machine outlet the company has installed in an effort to promote sales after years of struggling to promote its products due to whale conservationists’ protests. (Photos) In 2018, Japan put an end to the hunting of the animal in the Antarctic and resumed commercial whaling off its coasts. That moved halted the protesters, but the groups still oppose the new machines.

On this day in history, Jan. 28, 1986, the space shuttle Challenger — scheduled for a routine launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida — exploded after just 73 seconds in flight, killing all seven Americans on board. The disaster shocked the nation — and led to an immediate pause in the space shuttle program. The cause of the disaster was found to be the failure of the primary and secondary redundant O-ring seals in a joint in the shuttle's right solid rocket booster (SRB). While the mission on that fateful day in 1986 was supposed to be like any other routine mission,

A racist in a tablecloth suit named Dr. Umar Johnson decreed on The Breakfast Club radio show recently that the American government must carve out a full quarter of all economic activity — in perpetuity. “We get a 25% cut… every time America makes a dollar.” That would amount to approximately six trillion dollars annually. He makes sure to emphasize this is a forever arrangement. [Video] Specifically, he wants cash for the “psychological damages” wrought by slavery. Nearly everything, apparently, counts as “psychological damage” to Dr. Johnson.

Former President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama ramped up their calls for police reform following the release of the video showing the “vicious” beating of Tyre Nichols. “The vicious, unjustified beating of Tyre Nichols and his ultimate death at the hands of five Memphis police officers is just the latest, painful reminder of how far America still has to go in fixing how we police our streets,” they tweeted Saturday. They said responsibility falls on all people to “mobilize” to create change and included a link to a webpage for the Obama Foundation
It was not race, but bad policing that

The release of the videos from the lethal arrest of Tyre Nichols, 29, is shocking for its lack of professional tactics and procedures. This looks like adrenaline-filled rage … from the officers. At certain points, it is the suspect who sounds to be trying to de-escalate the situation. It is unfortunately not unique. In physical encounters, officers can escalate violence and lose control with lethal consequences. The footage helps establish a number of legal points. The force is clearly and undeniably excessive. It was a complete breakdown of training and supervision. It is hard to look at this tape objectively and analytically given the emotional impact of the scene. Yet

Jews eat kosher, Muslims have halal, Hindus eschew meat, and many Christians fast during Lent. So naturally, the fastest-growing religion today — earth and climate worship — is developing its own faith-based dietary restrictions. “Climatarians” (also called “reducitarians” or “climavores”) are people who make their food choices based on how what they eat will impact the earth, with the aim of reducing their carbon “foodprint.” The Earthist version of original sin is that, simply by living, people commit climate sin every time they eat, breathe, travel, and heat or cool their homes. Naturally, the younger generations are the most pious Earthists,

Project Veritas’ latest undercover sting may have been its most insane yet. ... James O’Keefe, confronts a man named Jordon Trishton Walker after a secretly-recorded admission that Pfizer is mutating COVID-19 to create vaccines.... Now, after days of silence, Pfizer has finally responded. In a lengthy statement, the pharmaceutical company ... claims it does not perform gain-of-function research. There’s a lot of doublespeak and hiding behind language there ... it goes on to admit that in a “limited number of cases,” the company engineers the COVID-19 virus to “enable the assessment of antiviral activity in cells.” That seems like it requires a lot more explanation...

When I was 7, America elected a fellow named John Kennedy president. He had been a senator and he was witty.(snip)Looking back as an adult, I realize he was not joking. He was bragging. But he was so charming that I secretly have wished for a Republican John Kennedy. Ronald Reagan came close. Donald Trump too. Maybe the John Kennedy we need is the senator by that very name from Louisiana. He uses humor and common sense to make his point and his points are always good ones.(snip)He was a Louisiana Democrat until he (snip)converted to Republican but skipped the testicle-removal ceremony.
