Kevin McCarthy Tells Hakeem Jeffries What

Newly minted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is facing his first major test since winning the contentious battle for the position. Hakeem Jeffries, the Democrat House Minority Leader, has reappointed Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell to the Intelligence Committee. That comes after McCarthy vowed to keep the two rabid partisans, both of which abused their positions under Nancy Pelosi’s rule, on the sidelines. Jeffries seems content to push the issue, though, setting up a clash that will no doubt be very public. Here’s a bit of what Jeffries wrote to McCarthy, per The Washington Examiner. To call it shameless is an understatement. “I write today to submit for renomination two eminently qualified

I will give praise when it is due. McCarthy is doing what he promised and as long as he continues down this path, it is good for the country. Well done so far. The eyes of every conservative is upon him. He has a big role to play and one that is critical if we are to have any hope of restoring this country.

McCarthy may work out after all. How far we've fallen when keeping communists off an important committee is a pleasant surprise rather than the standard.

According to Hakeem, it's okay to bang a Chinese Spy and to lie to the American people. No surprises there, it's what the Democrats do. Pelosi set an Harry Reid precedent during her speakership. Hakeem, go blame Nancy.

Jeffries is politically forced into defending a pathological liar and a fool who got sexually involved with a Chinese spy. McCarthy is on solid ground with this decision. Pelosi opened this door for him so now Democrats will have to live with it.

McCarthy should ask Hakeem for his definition of eminently qualified means. After all, McCarthy already mentioned how Schiff essentially used and abused the committee over the past 2 years on witch-hunts, and he stated his FBI brief on Swalwell was so bad he likely couldn't pass a background check in the private sector. Companies and individuals associating with either should be mindful if they have FCPA training (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) at their companies.

Pencil Neck and Swallow-well are eminently qualified to be the next two members of the Five Stooges. Swallow-well was boinking a Chinese spy and Schiff couldn't get a woman if she was deaf, dumb and blind. Being from California removes whatever speck of credibility they might have had. Hakeem needs to return to whatever hole in the ground served as home before he found congress and shut up for a couple of years.

The latest numbers from the Bureau of Economic Analysis show that the U.S. economy grew by 2.9 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, and 2.1 percent for 2022. While the White House was quick to take credit for the state of the nation’s economy, they might want to think twice. This latest report should have alarm bells ringing, not trumpets sounding. That’s because economic growth is slowing down. Even the areas which contributed positively to gross domestic product (GDP) are not necessarily signs of prosperity. For example, business investment grew at only 1.4 percent in the fourth quarter, but that was almost entirely inventory growth. Nonresidential investment,

Dave Rubin, host of “The Rubin Report” got a great opportunity — to go behind the scenes with Elon Musk and walk through Twitter. But first, he had to walk through San Francisco to get to the company’s headquarters–and that wasn’t a picnic, making his way through Nancy Pelosi’s city. Rubin said he spent two days talking to engineers, product managers, and Musk. He discovered what a “Rube Golberg” contraption Twitter was, and how hard Musk and his engineers were working to clean up all the mess that had been left. He was told he could write anything he wanted about the experience, as long as it was true.

After the meeting, Musk wrote on Twitter that he met with McCarthy and Jeffries "to discuss ensuring that this platform is fair to both parties." According to a source familiar with the matter, Jeffries met with McCarthy in part to receive a law enforcement briefing regarding Capitol Hill preparations in case there are protests

The Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and confirmed WEF goon Chrystia Freeland has determined that the American middle class “needs a pay cut.” Following an anecdote of an unnamed person who gave her the idea, she explicitly confirms her belief that the prescription for a middle-class wealth downgrade is the correct policy position but mentions the “very difficult” political and social sell to the middle class. As we slide further down the slope into multinational technocracy, the rhetoric will gradually shift in this direction. The “green” revolution and veganism and other energy and food restriction schemes began, if you can recall, with promises of economic expansion

The bankruptcy of crypto firm FTX could lead a bevy of companies with ties to Hollywood out in the cold. Unsealed court filings released Thursday list the corporate creditors of the Sam Bankman-Fried founded crypto firm, and they include many blue chip companies in the technology and media sectors. Among the creditors are Comcast, the owner of NBCUniversal, Netflix, Fox Corp., Apple, CAA, and subsidiaries of Warner Bros. Discovery and Endeavor, among other firms. The companies’ presence in the filing implies that FTX owes all of them money, though precisely how much, and what for, remains unclear based on the filing.

In the weeks after Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Christmastime visit to Washington, U.S., German and other European leaders became locked in an increasingly ugly t-for-tat over whether to send tanks to Ukraine. As language got heated behind the scenes, neither the U.S. nor Germany would budge — even as the standoff exposed a rare breach between two of Kyiv’s biggest backers. Ultimately, President Joe Biden decided it was more important to show a unified front and send the tanks — a move that could go down as one of the most consequential decisions in the multinational effort to arm Ukraine. Biden concluded it was important to move in lockstep with an ally,

President Joe Biden’s administration may bring a record 2.7 million illegal aliens to the United States-Mexico border this year, new analysis projects. For 2021, Steven Kopits with Princeton Policy Advisors accurately projected that about two million border crossers and illegal aliens would be apprehended. Likewise, Kopits correctly projected that more than 2.3 million border crossers and illegal aliens would be apprehended in 2022, for a total of about 4.2 million apprehensions since Biden took office. As illegal immigration hit a record monthly high in December 2022, with more than 250,000 apprehensions at the border, Kopits writes that the figures “are simply surreal” and suggests that Biden

The FBI’s unprecedented search of President Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, resulted from high-stakes discussions between the Justice Department and Biden attorneys over when and how it would take place, sources familiar with the matter tell CNN. Biden’s team stresses that it was cooperative in the lead-up to Friday’s search and even expressed an eagerness for the search to happen as expeditiously as possible to move the investigation along – and to try to put the matter behind them. For its part, the Justice Department had decided it would conduct the latest search – and any subsequent searches – after Biden’s team handled earlier searches themselves. Federal investigators

An elevated rate of Bell’s palsy was identified among elderly people after vaccination with a Pfizer booster shot, U.S. regulators said in a new study. The “small but statistically significant elevation” in Bell’s palsy was detected after vaccination with Pfizer’s old booster, which is no longer available in the United States, researchers with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said in a preprint study. The elevated rate resulted in an adjusted incidence rate ratio of 1.13 and remained consistent when researchers adjusted for different factors, such as prior COVID-19 infection. A rate above one shows a possible connection between the vaccine and an adverse event.
