The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is gearing up for 2024 and putting conservative Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin in its crosshairs before he's even said whether he'll run for reelection.
In a new ad called 'Maserati Manchin,' the Senate GOP's campaign arm highlights Manchin's luxury vehicle, his $700,000 houseboat, and DailyMail.com's reporting that he has blown over $1million in campaign donation on fine dining.
The 75-year-old moderate is likely the only one from his party who can hold on to West Virginia's Senate seat, and the ad looks designed to dissuade him from running.

In one sentence - - Mancini is described as "conservative." In the next sentence - - he's described as "moderate."
This is a man who voted for every penny of the multi-trilion dollar leftist/communist agenda. Some "conservative" - - some "moderate" he is!
And by the way - - "mancini" is the Italian word for left-handed - - and this bum sure is a leftie!

Coal miner Joe is a 1%er in sheeps clothing. $1 Mil in fine dining while citizens in WVA go hungry. This guy is a fraud and has pulled his wool over his constituents' eyes.

I don't like Manchin, but a $70k Maserati sounds like a pretty good deal. Cheaper than most Chevy Suburbans.

His fine dining bill seems to have surpassed Gavin Newsome. He’s probably a chespskate tight wad when it comes to tipping.

The house boat makes sense...particularly in DC where property taxes, and $/sqft housing costs are ridiculous.(when I was negotiating a DC job offer, my plan was to live on my sailboat, and they needed to get me a decent dock, plus either provide a driver, or a decent parking spot. We ended up doing a "consulting" contract instead of full time) The Maserati however is just verrrrry poor judgement for an elected politician. Italian food/wine is fine, Italian shoes are OK'ish, Italian suits a mite posh...Italian cars are just bad PR.

Joe Manchin ceased being a West Virginian as soon as he got to D.C. Now, he’s a Swamp Rat. Anybody who’s dumb enough to spend a million bucks in restaurants, even over ten years, has no business anywhere near the taxpayers’ money. I hope they’re smart enough to vote him out in ‘24.

While he was there I doubt The Gorbot ate chili dogs. I don't care about their chow bill as along as I'm not paying for it. I care about what they want to do to me and the rest of America.

I presume he seems like a moderate or conservative to Progressive Democrats simply because he doesn't simply play ball and follow their agenda 100%.
Not sure how you can spend $1,000,000 on fine dining, but if you're not concerned about how much a bottle of wine, or other cost items are (ask Gavin Newsom), it's possible over a period of time, which the article does not provide.

I must disagree with #3. Nobody in WV is going hungry. Those of us with jobs are paying their rent, utilities and food bills, under threat of prison.

‘Switzerland is expensive. Davos is top of the line. He was obviously enterraining people, not just dining alone. Who was following him around, checking his tabs? Or is this more DM tabloid exaggeration?
I find him to be very disappointing without this rumor. And his wife’s cushy $$$$$$ job, which Biden laid on her, keeps him in Biden’s thrall.

when are we going to stop treating our elected representatives like they're royalty, this is not the way the system was designed and certainly not the way our founders wanted their followers to be treated but because of the lobbyists and vested interests who petition our representatives for "favors" the people are lost in the process which means that the only time politicians think of the people is when elections are coming up and they need our vote

The Maserati, like the Mercedes, has faded in quality while increasing in price.
Manchin lives on the houseboat, a smart move, financially..

Apparently they do not have a "Pizza Hut" or even a "Golden Corral" in Davos.
Poor Manchin, he had to "make do".

I paid 60K+ for a GMC pickup. So 80K for a Maserati isn't egregious. 200,000k for a live aboard boat is a steal when you consider DC housing costs.
A million in dining???? That does seem a tad excessive.......

Should have switched parties while you had the chance, Joe.
Your political career is over.
No worries, I hear that lobbyists make really good money.

Joe knows that if current West Virginia Governor Jim Justice (Also the owner of The Greenbrier) wants to be a US Senator as he hinted at, he will eat Manchin's lunch. BTW: Manchin was reelected by 49% of the vote in a three way contest four years ago. He is not that popular here in West Virginia, especially since he voted to impeach President Trump. Trump carried all 55 counties in the last election, and won the state with 68% of the vote.
